Other than the great service, I ordered fresh clam linguine for take out. I was wondering why not only the clams but the pasta itself felt so gritty. I came to find out that I had a clam completely full of just black sand and shell shards in it. The little black particles wasn’t pepper but it was sand. It’s very concerning for every customer who orders this plate, as it is normal to have a bit of sand in the clam, but I had an entire clam full of it and in the pasta itself. Please take precautions when ordering the clam linguine.

Summary: Okay Service with Okay Vegan Food. Service: the Bartender seemed amazing. She greeted us and started the night great. We wish we would have sat at the bar for better service. Our server was not particularly nice, nor went out of her way to make the vegan options work for us. For example, we wanted the pasta marinara with three veggies added. She instead said to do the Greek pasta but remove the feta, remove the parm, remove the oil garlic sauce, add marinara, and remove the other vegetables that we didn't want. In doing so our meals went from $15 each to $22 each... Ambience: one of the "nicer" sit down restaurants on the island but nothing to write home about. Food: the pasta was average. We certainly did not get a nearly as much food as the onnivores around us. We saw people's dishes piled high with meats and pastas and veggies while ours was probably 40% pasta, 30% uncooked spinach and 30% other vegetables at a regular plate size. Normally, we never complain about portion sizes, but again being upcharged from $15 to $22 per plate we definitely expected similar sizes to the omnivores sitting next to us. Also, it would not have mattered as much if there was an appetizer that could be made vegan. The bruschetta seemed promising but our server told us there is cheese on the bread and therefore we were out of luck (suggestion: take off the cheese because traditional bruschetta does not have cheese on it.) Either way, it was nice to have a hot vegan meal, but we definitely left disappointed overall and would only return if we were starving with no other options.

We visited Kauai for a day and decided to eat here after a visit to Hindu temple. Since we are vegetarians, it is difficult to find the veggie restaurants whenever we are on a trip. After seeing the reviews about vegetarian options decided to have lunch here. Ordered Capellini Pomodoro & House Salad (since the Arugula salad was over). Both were good. Quantity was more than enough for one person (pomodoro). Parmesan fries with three kinds of dips was amazing. It was raining outside and the hot fries were perfect for weather.

Loved it!!!! Ambience, service and food. I am a vegan, and the Greek pesto noodles was out of the world 🌍♥️👍😍 Really loved the cocktails too! Very good restaurant.

My wife and I ordered the shrimp scampi and steak of the day (ribeye) respectively and least to say it was amazing. I was blown away by the speed out of the kitchen and the flavor of the food. Absolutely delicious. Do not pass up.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I absolutely would. The staff is serving the most Aloha of any place I have been on the island. I highly recommend the truffle parmesan fries if you are interested... all of their sauces are house-made. (I recommend the ranch.) These portions are GENEROUS. I highly recommend the spaghetti and meat sauce because it is DELICIOUS.

I don't often give sub par reviews but I also try to give authentic feedback. I was excited to check this place out based on feedback from others. Unfortunately the best part of our meal was our server Kehau...probably spelled that wrong, I apologize in advance, but she was amazing. Attentive, friendly and offered recommendations. We always tend to order a fair amount just because we are fine taking leftovers home. So we ordered calamari, Caprese, Veal Marsala, Greek Pasta w/ Shrimp, Coconut Creme Brulee and a couple cocktails. Calamari was pretty good, and Caprese was as expected. Veal dish was disappointing...the mashed potatoes looked like soupy instant potatoes. The marsala sauce looked instant as well and way too much of it. The Veal was chewy, needed a good Sear on it. The Greek Pasta, my son, added shrimp 🍤 and his dish came without the shrimp. By the time they brought the shrimp, it took too long and we ended taking it all home. The coconut Creme Brulee didn't really taste of coconut and was undercooked. Our bill was $175 plus tip. A bit high for what we ended up getting. I'm bummed this review wasn't a positive experience to share.

Easily the best fettuccine alfredo I've ever had. Most places, fancy or not, do the bare minimum (to be fair, it is a simple dish!). But this place went the extra mile with a very flavorful sauce, plus a few pieces of really good garlic bread. Wanted to tip the chef!

We are from the Chicago area and have gone to MANY Italian restaurants, KP Lihue is at the top of the list. We tried the parmesan-herb sautéed fresh mozzaerlla, it was unlike any italian appetizer we had ever had, in the best way. Their marinara sauce was delicious. We both had the chicken parm and it was a 10/10 as well. The staff there was so friendly and welcoming as well! We ended up coming back a second time during our same trip, we loved it so much.

They were very accommodating. Food was great. However, the restaurant was full and you could see that they struggled a bit: Multiple entrees were already not available, they added too much to the bill, brought the wrong entree for one person in our party.

Food was great, ambience was great, prices not so much. $20 salad will jever sit right with me. Pasta is $20 then it costs another $10 just to add meat. Overall good experience, but never been to a more expensive Italian place.

Excellent dining spot! The Caesar salad and Spinach salads were so good. Homemade dressing on both were incredible. Truffle fries were outstanding. Service was good…kind and pleasant wait staff. Highly recommend!

Food and cocktails were amazing! We had the Greek pasta, lasagna add meat sauce, and truffle fries. Truffle fries were great and the sauces that came with it were next level. Chilikoi cocktail was memorable - very strong and spicy.

My boyfriend and I had just finished the Kalaulau hike and this Italian food was just what we needed after a long and exhausting hike. The food came quick and it was very tasty. Hit the spot. We especially loved the mozarella cheese with garlic bread and marinara sauce appetizer and the chocolate crème brule for dessert. We got the lasagna and chicken Parmesan for entrees and loved those as well.

Honestly that was the best homemade pesto with macadamia nut & can't wait to have it again. My respects to the chef! However, our service was horrible....forgot our wine, forgot the extra cheese, forgot us!... Was very disappointed being our last night in Kauai. We'll be back, but it will definitely be take out. Thank you!!!

Garlic, basil, oregano and perfect red sauce. Meatballs are perfectly mixed with Italian sausage... You won't be disappointed! Dishes are fairly priced with large portions.

The best Italian we’ve had in not just Hawaii but also the US. The delicate taste was comparable to the Italian we’ve had in Italy and Japan. Service was awesome, food came piping hot and quickly. Every dish was delicious. The ambience is also lovely with lovely art and interior. If they ever open on Oahu, we will definitely patronize!

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had! Highly recommend. They did run out of clams and linguine noodles. Had the shrimp scampi.

KP has probably the best pasta on the island and they've got a good variety of dishes from lighter to definitely heavy pasta dishes. It's a quaint and cozy spot and theyve got a relatively full bar to help with pairings.

Came here for a quick order pickup. Service was fast and very friendly. I got the house made pesto pasta. The portion sizes here are huge. The pasta was very tasty and came with a few pieces of bread. Will definitely try to come here again for dine in. The ambiance was cozy.

Food was excellent! I had the salad, with a beautiful balsamic vinaigrette and shared the meatballs which had an excellent flavor & very moist. Service was attentive and kept our drinks full. I would absolutely come back.

They specialize in pasta and they do it amazingly well. I had the shrimp scampi with linguine. Their specialty does not limit them just to pasta, their chocolate crème brûlée is to die for.

Had the best dining experience tonight! The service was exceptional! The chef personally greeted our table and gave us crème brûlée. The food was so delicious. Caesar salad & pesto pasta, to die for! Perfect dinner before leaving to fly home!

This place was some of the best Italian food I've had. I'm sad to go back to the mainland where I can't find this good of food in my town. I got the meatball sandwich and my husband got the Alfredo. Great service and great food!

A local gem with better food than most of the fancy tourist restaurants. I think their truffle fries with 3 dipping sauces are the best fries on the island! Pairing them with an arugula salad makes a great lunch.

Honestly I was surprised. Like who gets Italian when coming to Kauai? Us, lol! But I was shocked at how good it was. I got the pesto chicken Alfredo, very tasty. My boyfriend got the chicken parm. It’s one of the best pesto we’ve had. Our server was so nice and sweet! Loved it 😊
