The girls at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful, clean and spacious. I love how they had an extra little room to get ready in, with a sink, huge mirror and also a long mirror hanging up. The pool was very clean, warm and beautiful. The gym looked great too! The complimentary breakfast was the best I ever had. So many different things to choose from. Awesome waffle machine makers we got to make our own waffles our selves. The only thing was the bright lights coming through at night from the lights out front of the hotel, I prefer it to be dark in the room but other than that everything else was amazing. I will definitely be going back, I actually didn't want to leave, wish I could of stayed longer.

Absolutely underrated. Place is very nice. Breakfast is nice. This hotel is probably the nicest place we’ve stayed. You’d think it’s a 4 star hotel. Staff very friendly. Great location, only a couple miles from Siesta key beach

Everything about this hotel screams excellence. From the hallways, to the parking lot, from the staff to the beds and the pool. The hotel is next level clean too. It is hard to find amazing customer service, and quiet quality rooms but you will find both here. I highly reccomend this property - THANK YOU!

This is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at several hotels/resorts. Our room was absolutely spotless. Even the hallways smell good! Top notch and friendly customer service by General Manager, Janet and Front Desk Manager, Connie, as well as all front desk associates. They make you feel so welcome that you don't want to leave. Great accommodations for any needs you may have. Yummy Amish restaurant in front of hotel offering buffet style or regular orders, with an awesome bakery and gift store inside. Our only wish would be if they had an on-site restaurant that included a bar, but CVS is within walking distance if you would like beer or wine. We will definitely return due to mainly the following: 1) Cleanliness of the facility and 2)Excellent, above & beyond customer service from Janet & Connie. See you in the future ladies!

Love everything about this hotel. It is well designed and extremely clean. The staff are great and take pride in representing the hotel-especially Rebecca. I wasn't surprised to learn that ownership is very involved with the management and upkeep of the hotel. The room was impeccable and had a great design - including a table, couch, and a separate wash room/closet in addition to a full bathroom. I was told every aspect of the bedding is washed , including the pillows. Snacks and toiletries are not marked up and are priced at or below grocery store prices. Complimentary breakfast is above par compared to most hotels. Look forward to staying here on future visits.

Is Clean beyond beyond! Other Hotels lately are questionably clean no matter the price. The Carlisle is immaculate. Spacious rooms, wide, inviting hallways, decorated with class and wonderful Amish country photography.. Friendly staff, great location to get to beach and downtown, free breakfast, free available parking. In the Amish district with access to those restaurants and bakery and shops too. Hotel seems brand new. Pool, not tun as well! Definitely our go to place now.

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Even the areas that other hotels skip or overlook - such as behind the nightstand, and corners in the bathroom were clean. Even the mini-blinds were clean. The front desk staff was exceptional. We were staying in another hotel chain and it was absolutely disgusting. We had driven by the Carlisle Inn and noticed how nice it looked - so we called to see if they had anything. The Carlisle was more expensive than where we were - but you get what you pay for. We were able to sleep much easier being in a nice clean hotel. Breakfast was very good also. The whole atmosphere was just calm, and clean, and friendly. It made our trip so much more relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.

Rebecca greeted my family and I with a warm smile and very welcoming energy. My family and I travel often and have stayed at various hotels/resorts; thus by far has been the best! I was impressed by how clean and well put together this place was that I was willing to make the lengthy drive to and from Disney and universal just to stay here! We stayed our first night at one of the universal resorts and I can attest you get better value for your money at Carlisle Inn. The breakfast is outstanding compared to other hotels. The ambiance was very relaxed and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

We were delighted with our recent stay at the Carlisle Inn in Sarasota. The Inn is owned by the Amish and Mennonite communities. They go the extra mile to ensure that their guests are comfortable during their visit to the Carlisle. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well built with wide hallways, high ceilings in the rooms and substantial mouldings. I appreciated the plantation shutters in the room instead of the usual heavy, dark drapes. The room seemed larger than most hotels and had a walk-in closet with an additional sink and counter to alleviate congestion in the bathroom when we were getting ready. The decor was charming, including handmade quilts and photographs. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which was fresh, tasty and filling. The pool area is well maintained with plenty of lounge chairs. The pricing is reasonable. The location was central to the airport, area restaurants and Siesta Key.

We just returned from a week at this hotel. It was so clean and the rooms were spacious. The staff was so helpful and friendly. We loved having a washer and dryer in our room. Can’t say enough good things! Breakfast was great too. Looking forward to returning at some point.

Magnificent hotel. Don’t forget to ask for the super comfortable recliner to be put in your room. The service was wonderful. Connie was very helpful. I would just like to add a couple suggestions. For this great of room I feel there should have been a microwave in my room. A toilet seat cover, and a shelf to shave my legs on in the ample shower would have been nice. Some variation on breakfast would be nice too. I’ll stay here again.

Rooms were good sized, we had a twin bedroom which had a separate dressing area too. Breakfast was good and we had the chance to have their traditional baked oatmeal. It was amazing!! Very nice people running the hotel. Location wise also good with a nice stores and restaurant nearby.

Excellent!! I don’t care much for the Dutchy decor but loved the spaciousness everywhere. Service is prompt and top-notch, and everything is spotlessly clean (delighted to find a clean laundry room at a hotel for a change!) Breakfast was great and included delicious doughnuts. Also appreciated that our room was kept stocked with bottled water and there is always water and ice available in the breakfast room. Overall, one of the best-managed hotels I’ve stayed in.

We recently stayed one night at the Carlisle prior to our son's surgery. What a delightful hotel!. The staff was extremely nice and efficient. The hotel room was spacious and very clean! It is located in the Amish area of Sarasota. We enjoyed dinner at a restaurant that was a short walk from the hotel. We definitely will stay here again when we are in the Sarasota area!

Our organization had a banquet at the Carlisle and it was a great experience! The prices, the food, the atmosphere, and the customer service were all excellent! Mariah did an incredible job working with us to make our vision happen. We heard great feedback from our guests as well. If you are considering having an event at the Carlisle, you should!

The Carlisle Inn is truly our home away from home. We have had the pleasure of staying there for our family summer vacation for 3 years now. The staff is so accommodating and they really make sure you have everything you need to be happy. The new general manager, Janet, and the front desk manager, Becky, do an incredible job taking care of all the guests and making us feel like we are family. The inn is immaculate and they have a delicious breakfast buffet every morning. We recently spent 10 days in the executive king suite which includes a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. Tom, at the front desk, even provided us with a recliner to ensure we had a comfortable and cozy stay. Tom was so hospitable, and he consistently asked if there was anything we needed during our stay. In addition, Rebecca at the front desk, recommended fantastic restaurants near the inn that we really enjoyed! However, our favorite place to dine is the “Der Dutchman” which is located directly in front of the inn. We have already booked 2 weeks for next summer and we can’t wait to go back! A special heartfelt “thank you” to Janet, Becky, Rebecca, and Tom, as well as the entire staff at the Carlisle Inn for making our family vacation so memorable.

We loved our stay at the Carlisle. The room was large and extremely clean and quiet. No noisy AC! We'll be back for sure to explore more of the area. Great hot breakfast and cookies in the afternoon. Very homey. I loved the quilt samplers displayed on the walls.

I am truly puzzled how this place has such stellar reviews. When we first checked in, one of the beds had black coffee ground type stuff all over the bedspread and hair as well. We switched rooms. Second room had a ton of wear and tear— coffee splattered on the wall, large scratches and gouges on walls and tub, tub grout was moldy and had orange-ish bacteria stains. Large red stains in the carpet. Water pressure was too low to wash hair unless your hair is super short. Water started going between warm and cold (no longer hot) after one quick shower. An alarm clock went off at 6-7am in an empty room next door for a good five minutes until we called the front desk. The mattresses were so soft that you sank into them and were not supportive at all. There was an extremely loud party below us and we couldn’t put our child to bed on time as a result. Tried to use the internet for streaming since there is only basic cable and the internet was slow and spotty. Slept very poorly and would not return.

This hotel was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. The pool was heated and the hot tub was perfect for a cold January day! The staff were extremely nice and constantly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast food was wonderful and the Amish restaurant next door was wonderful and electic! HIGHLY recommend.

The Carlisle Inn is fabulous! We visited for my mom's birthday. I made the reservation over the phone with Becky. She was so friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival, Connie made the check-in process easy and quick. The room was spotless and spacious. Not even a speck of dust where you would expect dust. The breakfast area was warm and welcoming. They had waffles, eggs, yogurt, biscuits, sausage, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, donuts, fruit, juices, and coffee.They have a beautiful pool and a fire pit which we didn't have time to use, but might next time. Same with the gym. It looked super clean with everything you need for a great workout. The manager, Janet, can be found conversating with guests and making sure everything is okay. She is very upbeat and definitely spreads great vibes throughout the property. The Carlisle Inn is a gem. We definitely will be returning. Thank you all for helping to create amazing memories for my family.

The Carlisle Inn is a hidden gem in Sarasota! I usually stay on Lido beach but decided to explore Sarasota on this vacation. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and decor of the Carlisle Inn. The decor reflects and honors the Amish and Mennonite Community. I found myself lingering in the hallways looking at the beautiful quilts and photographs, truly a learning and inspiring experience! The staff is friendly and attentive. Manager Janet stopped by breakfast , which is complimentary, to chat with us. The food was fresh and delicious! They serve homemade cookies in the afternoon, the kids visiting during my stay were all smiles. Across the parking lot is Der Dutchman, a wonderful family style restaurant and souvenir shop. The abundance of fresh pastries they make is impressive! Definitely an amazing stay and I’m looking forward to returning soon!

Enjoyed staying here and wish I could stay a lot longer! Breakfast was exceptional from Der Dutchman across the parking lot. I didn’t know this is an Amish hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Super welcoming and accommodating staff and I would recommend staying here if you enjoy a peaceful experience.

Spent last night here for our Anniversary. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and upgraded us to an executive suite which was terrific. Hotel was clean and well kept. Free breakfast was a bonus and had a great selection of items. Will definitely stay here again when in Sarasota. Great easy location.

I have spent the last 30 minutes looking for a way to give a 6 star to my score for this hotel. Their service and hotel are great. Huge spaces, very clean and you can tell that the people who work there are happy to work there. I totally recommend this hotel. I really liked the bed, it was so comfortable and the whole place smelled so good. Their breakfast was good, they have eggs, sausage and waffles which for a lot us is enough to start a day. If I’m on the area once again, I will certainly stay on this hotel again.

Beautiful property! Clean, fresh, modern, super spacious with an excellent pool area and delicious hot breakfast included with the room. Rooms were very large! Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were kind and responsive. A great family hotel with values. Not a party hotel. We will be back.
