We stayed at Sundial in Sept. 2021 for our anniversary and overall we had a wonderful experience! Pros: The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Their pool and hot tub were wonderful, the free chairs and beach umbrella were fantastic, and the poolside restaurant was delicious. The room was modern with all of the amenities we hoped for, and even the shampoo and conditioner from their spa was fantastic. We got daily texts of activities happening at the resort and loved being able to walk to everything we could possibly need. As this was our anniversary trip, the staff even greeted us with a bottle of champagne. Cons: The only con was that our bathroom wasn't very clean upon arrival and our sheets were extremely sandy and didn't appear to have been washed between guests. However, as soon as I called the front desk, they sent someone up with new sheets to remake our bed.

Resort was beautiful. Michael at the Front desk was incredible, Very kind, patient & helpful to our group of ladies. The pool & bar staff were also wonderful. Actually the entire staff was. Our only complaint was the restaurant upstairs for dinner & breakfast was freezing!!! Came in February, but it was way too cold. Ppl were leaving the restaurant because of it. And we did not eat inside again. Prices were reasonable on shirts, food etc… Overall very happy our stay. And we will return!

Overall we really loved this place. Check-in was easy, the main lobby was very pretty and maintained. The staff was very friendly. Only downside was they do not have luggage carts. Our room was beautiful and very clean. We didn’t realize that it was a fully stocked room with a full kitchen including pots and pans and everything. The view from our large lanai was wonderful, and we could see the ocean and everything that we wanted. There was always plenty of parking. The other resort tenants were never obnoxiously loud or anything. The best part in our opinion was all of the amenities that came with the resort fee that you typically don’t see included. Aside from the usual things like pool access and beach access with chairs and brothers, it also came with free access to all of their bikes, and they even had tow wagons that you could put your kids in behind the bicycle. They included stand up paddle boards and kayaks and pretty much anything else that you would want. The restaurants there are pretty good, but like everywhere else they were understaffed because people these days don’t want to work. And if you want to eat at the Japanese Teppanyaki you need to put in reservation very early because of how understaffed they are. We unfortunately didn’t get to eat there like we wanted but it turned out OK because there are lots of great restaurants locally. Overall we absolutely recommend this place and we will likely stay here again in the future.

I was married here just a week before Hurricane Ian (September 17). I hold this resort near and dear to my heart. The entire planning process was a breeze having Francesca along side me, who is just an absolute sweetheart, and someone I can call a friend. I got to work with Hannah, who was very pleasant to work with on the day of, and was very accomidating. The entire staff here was incredible and both my wife and my family had an outstanding time. The pool was fabulous, the drinks were delicious and the entire place was magical. I know when the resort reopens, it'll be even better than it was before, and we can not wait to come back!

Any other year this review would’ve been 5 stars or even more if I could give any more, but this years annual family vacation was no where near the experience we are used to. From the moment we parked the cars we were being questioned in a very judgmental tone on why we were parked there, when we’ve been parking in the lobby for YEARS while our room is ready. Once we informed the security guard we were waiting for our room he then questioned us on why our bracelets were navy and not the new color, these were the bracelets given to us as well as we saw other guests wearing the same color. The security proceeded to follow us and what we felt was keep an eye on us. My family and I at some point even felt like we were being questioned so much due to being Hispanic. It was a feeling we have never had while being in Sundial. This resort for us is a place we normally call home as we go three to four times yearly with one of those being a week long trip. Something else we noticed this trip was new management constantly walking around looking at everyone and being on top of the workers like if they’re being micromanaged. The workers that we were used to seeing happy and enjoying their job has turned in to employees just getting their job done with no content. I do need to give credit where it is due and Gene out by the beach is the most caring and exceptional employee they have. He always had chairs and towels ready by the time we got down to the beach. He was truly the highlight of our vacation. Also Barbara by the pool was always so helpful. I hope that if we ever do give Sundial another try we will receive much better treatment and can say our vacation spot is back to being how we remember it.

I only give it a lower rating because the woman at the front desk with the grayish hair was very short with the other woman at the front and was not the most hospitable. As a first impression on the resort sure dropped my expectations. However everything else was brilliant.

This is a very different type of resort. Some things they do very well, and some need improvement. The front desk is awesome and very accommodating. Rooms are all individually owned (it's a condo) so each room is decorated differently. Our room overall was nice, but the ceiling fan was unacceptably wobbly and noisy, and the towel rack fell off the wall. The elevators were tiny and cramped, and there was no cart to move your luggage. Glad we had one in the car. Didn't even see a bell man available. The beach and pool facilities were really nice, and they have many organized, fun activities. Just consider all these things if you plan to stay here.

Overall, the stay was ok. The staff was mostly friendly. The proximity to the beach was nice. But there were definitely some disappointments during our stay. For one, the beach view unit (which, conveniently has NO pictures on the website) was decorated as if it were 1993 and we just walked into Fraiser Crane's apartment. The couches were incredibly uncomfortable and nary even so much as a throw pillow to be found. The other issue we noticed was multiple cockroaches, despite the fact that we didn't keep any food in the unit so these guys were clearly tenants before we showed up. Finally, the website advertises being able to walk to the beach directly from your unit, which is KIND OF true. You can walk there, but it's a sliding glass door so there's not actually a way to lock up behind you. Likewise most of the units are behind a dune, meaning you have to walk around the building to the path that leads to the beach no matter where you're staying. Overall, I don't think we'll stay here again unless there are some major renovations (or at least some new furniture).
