Relaxed atmosphere on the water. Kathy is friendly and runs a nice place to get away. Across the street from the beach, pet friendly, walk to John's Pass and restaurants. Each room has a nice patio, comfy bed, full equipped kitchen, cool AC, cable TV and good shower pressure. Been here 3 times and looking forward to next time.

We just got back from our labor day weekend. We were there for my husband's 60th birthday and he wanted to do a little fishing. Kathy, Judith and Ace are the best. They made us feel so welcome. They made us feel like family. We were in the nature cottage right by the sea wall. It's such a cute place with character and personality really felt like old Florida. The cottage was very comfortable, relaxing, quiet and felt like home. We are definitely coming back. The cottages are also close to everything, shops, restaurants, the boardwalk and beaches. We really enjoyed our stay.

Spent a long weekend here and the location was perfect. Walking distant to the beach and the trolley runs the length of St Pete. Very peaceful and private. Being right on the water was a plus as we fished several times a day. The dogs loves the fenched in area and spent several hours outside with us as we fished. Owners were kind and checked in on us to be sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I and our three hounds spent this past weekend at Changing Tides Cottages. We live about an hour away and needed a mini vacation that would accommodate three dogs, which isn't always easy to find. We were greeted by the owner, Kathy and her pup Ace. They were both very friendly and inviting. We stayed in the jungle room which was clean and adorable and a perfect size for all three dogs and ourselves. The furniture is pet ready with covers also! We arrived late on Friday so Saturday afternoon we let our dogs explore. The community is gated in except for along the canal, which worried me a little at first, but our dogs, as well as everyone else's, seemed to know better and just avoid. We spent a good two+ hours letting our dogs explore while we talked to all of the friendly visitors to the community. All of which did not mind the fact that our dogs wanted to explore their rooms also. :) Overall, I think Changing Tides was even better than expected. And for anyone traveling from outside the area, it is about a five minute walk from John's Pass, which has everything you would need for an extended stay and it's about a 2 minute walk to our gorgeous Gulf beaches!

My wife decided we were getting away for my 60th birthday. We are NOT giant over priced resort people and this looked to be just the right kind of place for us. This little old florida cottage setup is perfect. We could step out the back door and sit at the waters edge. Kathy, Judith and Ace are the perfect hosts and we loved our visit there. Everything you could want is within walking distance and we were made to feel very welcome. We will be returning. Thank you Kathy, Judith and Ace for a terrific weekend.

My husband and I moved to Florida July 2013...with a great Dane, 2 small dogs, a kitten and a quaker parrot. Kathy was so accommodating and trusting. We stayed there 4 weeks until we had to find a house to rent. We would still be there if it were up to us. 🥰

The customer service was outstanding. Likewise, the location was terrific. We were close to both the beach and John's Pass. The cabins are old Florida style cabins and cozy. They are out dated but clean. It was also wonderful being able to bring our dogs. I would recommend this to budget minded people looking for a great get away.

Authentic 1950's time warp! If you love character, you'll love this place. Fifty-year-old trees planted by owner in her youth, sailboats tied up at seawall, happy party lights at night, nice BBQ's - a virtual private park, dogs welcome, too. Not all fancied up - just real. Owner gives you the keys and it's yours - no pesky maid service to barge into you visit - total privacy. If you need something, Kathy is always around somewhere. Each apt has it's own front porch with waterview. This is how it used to be before developers spoiled Florida with progress and sadly one day this, too, will be gone.

Ok, I'm going to be fair and honest with this review. We loved our weekend we spent here! Kathy is really nice, every time I saw her she asked how our stay was going and asked if we had any questions. The cottages are cute and the atmosphere was amazing. My dog had a great time as well. We are definitely going back.
