Fun yet challenging course in surprisingly good condition. Most of the staff was happy and helpful, though some seemed kinda grouchy. For a par 69 we were surprised at the challenge the course offers. Good carts and paths, decently wide fairways, rough a fair but challenging depth, and nice firm greens. We saw lots of wildlife, including a variety of beautiful birds, a gator, and a coyote. Also love that a percentage of the fees paid go to support the on-site 4-8th grade academy, focused on preventing high school dropouts. Recommend playing here as one of your golf stops!

Loved this course due to the staff! Nicest people working there who helped keep the pace and found some balls for me. Wasn't the nicest course I've played but for the price point it was perfect. I also rented clubs and it was only $15 and I played better than expected. One thing to note is they don't serve alcohol since they have an academy attached.

Just played today and was pleasantly surprised at how nice of condition the course is in!! Tees and fairways were nicely maintained, not to mention the greens were in great shape and had good speed to them.. With the leaves trying to change it gave it an up north kinda feel to it which I enjoyed!! Will be back again soon as it was night and day from summer conditions this year

The course and the greens are well taken care of and are in good condition. I had a nice time playing the variety of holes which were a good mix of challenging and more straightforward approaches. Good mix of par 3,4, and 5s. The holes are really close together like a links course and there are quite a few blind tee boxes. Everyone was backed up and close together because of how close the holes are. The pace of place is not enforced and its really slow. It took 4 hours and 30 minutes to play 18 holes as a group of 2. There were several casual groups of 4 to 8 in front and behind us. The Yamaha carts are comfortable but don't have hoods to protect your bags and clubs from rain. Also no maps of the holes on the scorecard. The position of the holes on the greens change frequently so you have to know the corresponding number for that day and use the laminated map on the cart. Overall it was decent, but too backed up for my liking. I'd recommend only playing here with a hot deal, and on a weekday when it's less busy. It's a beautiful course if you have the time and patience.

This is a great short course. Chi Chi's challenges are visible on every hole. What Chi Chi does for youth is unquestionably so valuable. Loved it and the ease to get to, will defiintley return. Very fair price for the experience.

Course is in decent shape. The overall quality is actually pretty good. However the pace of play is abysmal , the groups make you wait 15-20 minutes each hole because most players here are seniors. I had to leave mid round because the pace of play was just too slow. And nobody is keeping track or enforcing pace. Ruined the experience completely. Wish a refund was possible because this was truly a waste of money. 20% of your time golfing 80% of your time waiting.

I love playing this course, it’s a hidden gem! Friendly staff, well maintained course (deep Bermuda off the fairways) with some additional layout challenges. As a local, I’d rate it as one of the best public course in the county behind Innisbrook. Unfortunately, I didn’t snag any photos but it’s tucked in the community really nice such that most holes have the country scenery. Wildlife will be observed some rounds. Allie-Gator and fox have been spotted in my past rounds.

Course was in good condition but that’s not what this post is about. We had a family emergency and had to leave after 4 holes. Stopped in the pro shop quick after returning the cart to see if there was a way to get compensated. Was told he would need to see the 3 separate receipts to get compensation. In a circumstance like this, that was the last thing we were thinking about. Pretty poor customer service, not to mention I had used a coupon from the valspar on this round so that was a waste as well. Won’t be back for quite some time.

The course layout was great. Good shape golf course. But the operation side of it was 1 star. Not offered rainchecks when you play 2 holes past front 9 when rain and wind started picking up.

This golf course was an amazing way for us to have fun and practice our game with friends. The grounds were well kept and the establishments on the campus were well taken care of as well. The staff was very helpful and nice. We wanted to shout out Henry for being so helpful our first time on the course. The environment is family friendly and the establishment/staff definitely takes pride in that. I loved how much this place takes pride in what they do and making it a great place for beginners of all ages. I definitely recommend anyone to go here and we will definitely be returning soon!

Played at Chi Chi's on 1/12/23 after not playing there for about 5 years. The tee boxes and greens were in great shape and the fairways were pretty good too! The only negative was we were scheduled to play behind a fairly large Thursday morning league that would have made our four hour round go we felt a lot longer. No problem as they moved my twosome in front of the league and things went fairly smooth. Thanks to the starter to making this last minute change happen. Overall I would recommend playing at Chi Chi's!

We absolutely loved this golf course experience. It was our first time playing and are going to play it next week again staff is great, course was fun and greens rolled beautifully. Snack bar there also. Now most important all proceeds go to the academy were the ratio is 7 students to 1 teacher. School is 40+ years strong, it’s Chi Chi’s and Jacks place. Check it out if you can.

This is an incredible golf course! I think that Chi Chi's is the best maintained public golf course in the area. Wide lush green fairways, challenging rough and well healed aerated greens made Saturday a very fun day. This is a slightly shorter course but the setup will keep you working for the pars. It will however reward good shots with birdie putts and solid par action. The staff is terrific, the pro shop fully stocked with gear, food, drinks and snacks. Priced at around forty dollars it is money well spent.

Second time playing this course. Rained out first time. Staff at the course were great. Once out on the course fairways were in excellent condition. Bunkers were tough if you landed in one. Sand soft and balls would become fried egg. Greens fast, very fast. Overall, one of the best courses I have played. Will definitely play again.

5 stars! Not because the course is perfect, but it's in quite good condition compared to other courses in the area. Dollar for dollar, I think Chi Chi's is probably the best golf value in the area. Are there nicer courses around? Sure....but you're going to pay a LOT more to play them. The layout isn't long by any means, but you MUST be accurate! Probably not going to be your favorite course if you want to bomb and chip on most par 4s. I suppose it's possible to play that way there, but good luck!!! But if you like courses that force you to be a shot-maker and think strategically, Chi Chi's is a good one!

Great experience each time I play a round here. Staff are always professional and friendly. The course is well maintained and greens are fast. The wildlife I see a bonus. Recently saw an Eagle near the seventh green! I’ll be back soon.

Played this with my sons, 13 and 15, on August 22. Course was generally in decent shape with a few nice, scenic holes. Greens had just been aerated (a necessary evil) so it made it tough for putting. Consistency of sand in the bunkers was not what we were used to and a few holes were missing rakes. All in all the course was fun and an adequate challenge. Staff were all great. Cold water on every few holes. Fees were very fair. I think you'll enjoy this course.

Really pretty course with a fun design. A bit shorter distance means that a solid long iron off the tee leaves a make-able approach to well protected greens. Big difference bw whites and tips! In the running for best course in Tampa at this price range (low $30s during summer).

This is a great little course and generally in good shape. However, the administration of the course needs attention. During our round, almost every green was being mowed and the maintenance team continued even while we were on the green putting. There were several holes where the sprinklers were on full blast and the maintenance crew was sitting along the fairway watching us struggle to hit through the blasts of water. I would like to play here again, but will not because of the foregoing issues.
