I was left mesmerized 😊 when you enter the trail your 1st views are giraffe's. The trails are breathtaking and there are surrounded by animals. Remember to pack in a picnic basket for afterwards because trust me you are going to make this a whole day event!

Assegaai was wonderful, there is so much to do and see. The variety of different trails was amazing and great for weekends away or even a quick hike during the day. We stayed at rock bottom and the facilities were impeccable. Be sure to pack enough blankets, warm clothes and pillows as it can get quite chilly at night and early morning. Our only regret was not booking for longer. A truly memorable experience indeed.

What a lovely venue for a wedding. Enough accommodation. And the most incredible stone chapel. Pool for the children. Place to make a fire outside. Cash Bar always a winner.

Stunning hiking trail. Lots of wildlife where we walked. Giraffe, Zebra, Rooibok, Eland etc. Loved the open hut where we slept, under a cliff, next to the river, with a variety of bird species to keep us company, not forgetting the baboons and dassies.

Best weekend after a long time. Sheila was a star and very accommodating. Wonderful reception and loved the visits by the 2 Labradors. Our umpteenth visit but will definitely be back again.

The short hiking trail boasts with grand views, clean and spacious accommodation, many herbivores like giraffes, zebra, springbok, to but name a few. Great venue for functions or just getting away from the city for a few days. Bring sun cream.

Excellent place to break away from the city. Great hikes. Great food, fresh air and cosy cabins.

Great place for a very intimate wedding. The View and all the opportunities for fabulous wedding or any other photos are great Friendly staff nice food and service. I traveled with a motorbike not build for that gravel road after heavy rains and the owners went out of their way to assist me.

It's a very beautiful and peaceful place. Very clean and the hosts are amazing. The food they provided for us was exceptional. My favorite part was the awesome hiking trails and the animals we get to see while hiking. Love love love it!

We had a fantastic wedding weekend here in December 2022. The hosts, Sheila and Ray, made every aspect of the weekend really special. The chapel is beautiful, the food and catering were superb, the setting and view are magnificent and the guest accommodation was very comfortable. Our wedding was arranged largely by email , from the UK, and Sheila was brilliant about responding to all my queries and requests. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue.

We recently spent one night at Assegaai Trails. The hike / walks are well maintained, well marked and safe. The accommodation was spotless clean, well stocked and warm. Staff super friendly & helpful. Will Definitely return for a longer stay.
