Beautiful and quiet, with a stunning view of the old quarry that is now a lake. Room is large and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable. Newly renovated en-suite bathroom. Very friendly staff and good breakfast buffet with many options. Other facilities like the splash pool, gym & sauna add to the great experience staying here.

This Event was to promote reading in children very good initiative that will now be annual. Readings, Dance, colouring and museum tours catering for the children were educational and entertaining

For a small museum it houses some famous stuff. This is the place that houses the world renowned Coelacanth - the extremely rare fish that was caught near East London, of which fossils have also been found dating back to the Devonian era, 400 million years ago. The museum also has the only known egg from the extinct Dodo bird. And a set of fossilised human footprints in beach sand dating back 200,000 years and believed to be the oldest human footprints in the world. There are also displays on shipwrecks along the local coast and Xhosa tribal life and beautful bead work.

A great museum with local history as well as broader themes, not to mention the famous oldest footprint in the world. Spent one hour but easily could've spent two.

I have probably been to the museum over 500 times in my life already, and I will never stop going. The history is palpable, every step you take and there is ALWAYS k knowledge to gain.

The hotel is just marvelous. You get tested at the gate for the Coronavirus pandemic. Their conference facilities are arranged in such a way that very few guests sit in one table in order to allow social distance. The tables are also giving a distance in between. Their meals are exquisite.

Hotel is extremely noisy and not adhering to covid restrictions. Drunk patrons party outside the hotel until the early hours of the morning and security refuses to do anything. Management claims its not their responsibility despite it being their patrons causing havoc in front of the hotel. Stay away from this spot.

It's a nice place with a beautifull view. But what you can find in the reviews it's real. The staff it's slow, uninterested and unorganized. Sometimes there are towels in the room, sometimes none. The food it's the same every day, but summary the stay was ok. Awso it could be a little cleaner in the rooms.

  • 2/5 Naeema H. 3 years ago on Google
The room was ok, but the curtains were mouldy and the shower was filthy. Restaurant was not great either. I would not book at this hotel again.

I'm not sure this Hotel is taking this pandemic very seriously. No social distancing. No masks are being worn. And people party way past the given curfew of 12am. People are walking out of the hotel with bottle and glasses with out masks then partying in the parking lot then going back into the hotel. Are precautions being taken? I worry for the staff working there. They don't seem to be being looked after. Personally this seems to be turning into a Covid hot spot. No social distancing in the parking lot that people party in till 4am in the morning.

  • 1/5 Alnatural G. 3 years ago on Google
Very noisy parties in the parking area in front of my room. The people come from the hotel's bar then they party and play music in front of the rooms that aren't facing the ocean, the managers don't do anything about it and neither do the security. People break bottles, play loud music, scream and shout and drink, it is so loud that it feels like they are in my room with me, i could not sleep until 4am when they finally left. Although we are in a pandemic there is no social distancing in the bar/restaurant as they seem to try and fill it up to the maximum and them allow even more people to enter and do not enforce people to wear their masks and so it seems like this is a hot spot for Covid-19. The only good thing about this place is that the staff are very friendly and hard working. The management and security need to up their game. If you value sleep and relaxation I would not recommend this place for you.

Terrible noise! Not following COVID regulations. No one wearing masks. People walking out with drinks in their hands and partying in the parking lot.
