The room was fine. Cab u believe there was no wifi. They did not tell me about that upfront. I am on a business trip. The staff don't give a cr@p. Totally useless

There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. My room carpet smelled and the sheets smelt like sweat. Im not sure if that was due to the carpet smell. I don’t know if it was just my room, but it wasn’t a pleasant smell. It has an amazing view though and very spacious.

I went there on business. I think this is the only hotel in the world that has no wifi not even in their dinning area! How do you work. The rooms are not cheap either. There is a parking issue too. There is no underground parking either. I had the buffet breakfast which was really good and well prepared but the food from the grill restaurant was not that great. The staff is accommodating and helpful they are extremely friendly and assistance is always giving and available where they can they will! The second night i stayed was definitely only because of them so thank you to all the lovely staff! Oh btw the rooms are not sound proof i listened to a couple go at it all night too! What an experience though!

The restaurant was good, the breakfast was very good, the rooms were good. The beds are good for taller people. Perfect stop over spot.

Good hotel, and good facilities for conferences, Except that connectivity was so poor, no backup for loadshedding, very small bathrooms. But facilities were good.

Great establishment with all the necessary facilities (swimming pool, bars, gym, etc). Nice interior decoration, offers great view of the sea/beach. They have a great menu, friendly staff and the place is close to many amenities.

The reception staff seemed tired and uninterested, they could learn customer service lessons from the excellent chefs. Some plugs in my room didn't work and then got hit with Eskom's finest work from 6-9 pm, it was really disappointing for a big hotel to not have electricity backup 👎

Such a weird experience! The view and room a actually quite good. Bed sheets and pillowcase were very clean. But sound proof and other part of hotel were quite bad. Other parts of the rooms were dirty, pedestrians and people are loud and no one manage them even in late evenings.

Standard room with a double balcony, separate sitting room, large shower, local Magwa Tea were stunning. The ocean lanarama view, air conditioning confirm it is. Great stay away or home away from home. The foyer sitting arwa afforded one time to relax and meet business associates.

It was the worst hotel ever. Even airbnb have WiFi, the staff are so ill mannered when you ask them why they don't have WiFi. I have requested our travel agent to stop using them. Hope I will spend the next 3 months in a better hotel.

The hotel is a fantastic building facilities and the service was great but it was a bad experience. Cold water and unfortunate loadshedding took the joy away. They can upgrade on TV channels and hot water

It was a quick in and out of EL. The hotel is ok. Looks a bit dated outside but clean and classic inside. It has a conference centre. Good buffet breakfast. Rooms are ok too.

Service could definitely be improved.i met guests from out of town and they had to wait 3 hours to be checked into their rooms. They waited in the lobby and we had our meeting there. Fair enough check in was only at 2pm but surely if u let them know in advance u can plan ahead and accommodate their request. Rooms are adequate. Location is perfect and ideal.

I am disappointed at the service. I am currently staying here for a workshop. I left the room at 7am. I have just arrived. All I wanted to do was shower and sleep as I had a long day. To my great disappointment the room was not cleaned. I called reception and 2ladies came to clean and told me that the cleaning lady wrote that I had a 'do not disturb' sign on the door, which is a lie. I was planning to book myself an extra day as I am tired and not up for traveling tomorrow. I won't anymore as when the ladies cleaned I did not even see them having an extra set of linen, I suspect they just made my bed with the same linen ad last night. I'm too tired to address this with anyone honestly. I'm just so disappointed.

Dear staff, please do not carry on talking about your personal lives while guests are in your presence. It shows a great deal of disrespect to any institution. If you carry on it shows that you dont value the presence of your patrons rather put more value in your personal lives and sharing of it with your colleagues. Was there for a workshop but still felt like i was invading your personal space.

Currently staying at this hotel for a workshop and I was food poisoned on my first day and still recovering. The food is not great and looks like it is recycled to use the next day. This hotel has a good location, beautiful view and I love the sound of the ocean, but it is all overshadowed by the noise outside. The rooms are not bad but even though it states no wifi...seriously! What hotel does not have wifi! Especially if you have conference facilities and you are next to the ICC. Infection control and hygiene is a big RED FLAG at this hotel. They really need to send the health inspector to this place. Can't wait to leave soon. A very unhappy guest.

I had an excellent stay at this welcoming hotel with clean, comfortable rooms, top-notch amenities, and a delicious on-site restaurant. Highly recommended for a great getaway.

Horrible horrible service! I stayed here for about 3 weeks. The reception service, hotel staff and the hotel Wi-Fi connection are all horrible and unreliable. Please spare yourself this place and stay at the garden court down the road. Better service and definitely better treatment. I complained about having no access to the Wi-Fi, at the 4th fooor, they struggled to resolve this for at least 5 days, offering a useless router that did not work. This place is a nightmare!

Home is home, they went above and beyond what was expected for my mom's, Dr S Sokupa's event. This place has never failed me, I was there when it was built, left the city and I have come home to a gem.

Good, but had to buy twin adaptor plug as they don't have ports for cellphone charger cables.

The experience was really not what I had hoped for. Restrooms with no she bins, only one bath towel,( you request an additional one from reception if you need it) no fridge . Ironing station based only at 4th floor. No room service facility if you want to dine inside your room.

Best hotel around East London. Great views, friendly staff and clean rooms. Located right on top of the sea, Women love it here.

Wheelchair accessibility is really clumsy here. Although facilities are available, not much thought has gone into it. The staff are friendly and assisted me, but had to navigate from the undercover parking block through various back way alleys where garbage disposal is, not very glamorous. Parking bay also very narrow to get out with my wheelchair so had to use two bays. Inclines are also very steep. Accessible toilet from the conference hall we were hosted in was so far away, and had to navigate through another hall to get there. Also don’t appreciate the fact that I had to be assisted with everything, with some universal practical design this could be avoided, it’s not like this structure was built in then dark ages. Disability really seems like an afterthought here and is really frustrating for an independent wheelchair user like myself.

The front desk security guard was rude and racist. I was there on the 15th of September 2021. He did not allow me to park at the normal check in point, he asked me to park away from it. After a 10 hour drive to walk 100mts to the check in is not acceptable considering I arrived there after 21:00pm due to the argument with regards to the parking and checking in, I had missed supper due to the restaurant closing. On the 17th of September, upon having breakfast the orange juice I had was fermenting which leaves me to question how the hotel is run.

Always nice to be here. Rooms are very spacious and clean with white beautiful linen. The bed is also comfortable. There's also aircon for different weather conditions.

Hotel room service is really lacking only dinner served in room service option No room service on breakfast. Breakfast buffet menu was really not up to standard omlette egg was not done to specification and there was 1 kind of bread available very disappointed. House keeping did not wipe my table 2 days in a role as I had a cool drink spill on my first day there, dinner plate from the previous night was left in the room even after house keeping had " cleaned up " the following day, I was very disappointed to find leftovers gone off and smelling in the room as I got back later that day😞

Great stay, but the no Wi-Fi issue is a blunder and it seems like it has been ignored for months if not years now. Internet access is key for places which hosts official/business travellers.

The worst experience ever in this Premier Regeant Hotel , East London. How can a hotel of this standard allow such noisy and roudy people. Hotels are supposed to have "hotel police" who monitor the place in order to control mess ups like these. This is the worst experience for a work night.

The rooms are great, spacious and super comfortable, with the beautiful sounds of the ocean. When I was checking in there was a problem with my booking and the lady called Ngwekazi was wonderful, she quickly followed up and sorted me out while the other assistants had said my booking is not reflecting in a dismissive attitude. To Ngwekazi you are a true germ thank you so much. The conference centre was a bit of a disappointment, a bit stuffy it felt like the air was not circulating well, and the cables to connect the projector were not working and we had guys coming in trying to help but to no vail. Please get IT person to deal with these issues.

The bed was so comfortable and the rooms were were generally clean. The friendliness of the front desk team makes one feel at home and they feed you like your own mama. They diiiiish up

Beautiful place to be with excellent service, you just have to fix some of the room door which doesn't open with card, my whole 3day trip when ever I want go inside my room had to pass by the reception to open my door for me with the main keys that's sucks.

  • 5/5 Patrick N. 2 years ago on Google
This place gave a world standard experience. I however implore the management to fix the issue of keys that did not work and I had to call someone everytime I wanted to access the room.

  • 1/5 Lizile P. 1 year ago on Google
What a horrible place! After checking in, I was given an incorrect key card which was incompatible with the lock system of the room I was allocated. As for the gruesome discovery that awaited me inside the room - the less said, the better. Take your business elsewhere, this establishment's management couldn't be bothered.

must say, I’m rather disappointed by this Hotel. I arrived here Wednesday for training but they gave me a rum with no ventilation, no window and tiny. I explained that I was claustrophobic and had to sleep elsewhere because they said there were no rooms available. Till this day, 3 days later I have the same complaint and nobody is assisting. They are checking in people right in front of while I stand by the reception every morning and night. I am highly disappointed because now the company is paying for a room I am not even sleeping on and I have to crowd someone else.

What a poor experience. From the no WiFi, curtains hanging off the rails, ripped couch, dirty bins, smelly room, broken bar fridge, our stay was just terrible. The only thing worth mentioning was the decent steak at the grill room. Would not recommend.

  • 1/5 Nonkazimlo M. 1 year ago on Google
No wifi, no bar fridge? Some lamps not working. We asked if we could be upgraded to the ICC, no one was willing to assist. We had to pay upfront for the 2 days. I will never ever book with this group. There was not even a heads up call regarding Loadshedding. What a horrible experience.

This is an old hotel with no wifi available. It was freezing at night and no wall heater or air conditioning available to warm up the room. The bathrooms have been redone but there are no hooks for hanging towels or shower caps. Take your gown with as you will need to iron your clothes at the end of the passage. Although friendly, the staff at reception cannot assist with any of the above. Rather book at the premier Hotel ICC as there are a lot more facilities. I.e. wifi, room service, gym, under ground parking. It is not recommended that you walk at night outside as some areas are unlit as the boardwalk is under renovation.

Clean and hospitable. Staff were polite , professional and accommodating . The view from my balcony was breathtaking. Was a pity about not having a bar or restaurant open during the day but it's understandable with complications due to COVID . My booking was easy and my special requests met. Bed was comfy and clean. All in all a great experience
