Nice place to visit for the day. There is a Braai spot where you can have a braai or a Pot. Great place fir the kids to play and feed the animals. I will definitely take my pot and stay for the whole day...

Absolutely disappointed !! The receptionist was friendly however it’s a total waste of money . The few animals that are there are definitely aren’t well looked after , the buildings aren’t very well maintained or kept clean . There is no water in the taps . We stayed for the lion feeding and to no surprise it wasn’t entertaining at all, the “keeper” didn’t give any information whatsoever he didn’t even bother to greet. Again I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone .

It's not expensive and the kids enjoyed it. Just a pity its a bit run down and the animals look a bit sad.... Maybe that's just me though? I do enjoy the ostriches and the funny looking llamas.... Or are those alpacas? I can never tell the difference. The spider monkeys are also quite amusing. The donkeys are my favourite though. They're so sweet and I buy two packets of food. One bag for the donkeys and one for all the other animals 😂

There are only 4 lions, reception lady, just sells the tickets, doesn't give a brief description of what their place is about.. So yeah not really a warm welcome.

Not a fan of any lion park. They use the animal interactions to get them used to being around ppl for canned hunting

Unfortunately, due to the heat, the lions were hiding in the shades. But a nice experience for the kids with lamas, ducks, monkeys and Ostriches.. M

We recently visited and I was so impressed. This park is lovely. The animals are all well looked after. Sanitizer available as you enter. They take card and cash. Their little restuarant is very convenient and their menu offers something for the whole family.

Great experience We went on a rainy day, which turned out in our favour as the lions are much more active in the cooler weather.. There is a little restaurant also We enjoyed the classic breakfast (everything freshly made, hence a little wait) Great coffee also.

Never saw the lions, the explanation is they are hiding in their enclosure, waited 45 minutes for 3 hamburgers, and learned afterwards that a dagwood only consists of bacon and cheese, luckily the price included cold fries... Will not be back. The red faced spider monkeys was the only highlight for the entire visit.

Nice place, animal enclosures are all clean and a small but nice selection of animals to view. Kid friendly which is great.

Not many animals left. Need n whole makeover if they want to attract people. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Very run down. But the economy is tough. Animals seems to be well looked after

Although there are many wonderful places in South Africa where you can encounter lions, The Lion Park still comes on top for us. Kids were enjoying lions and other animals and we were enjoying chicken periperi LOL.

Cool place to take kids with and have a picnic but they don't have so many animals like the last time we were there, nice food from their restaurant.

  • 2/5 Werner R. 1 year ago on Google
Very dissapointing considering the price you pay to enter, lack of animal interaction or lack of animals especially the lions, cages need to be sorted and cleaned. Most exciting part is the monkey cages and leamers.

  • 2/5 Aa V. 1 year ago on Google
The place is very run down and you can't even get too the lions properly too see them. There is not even boards on all the cages to see wat animals are on the cages. The animals looks a bit sad. There is quite a few empty cages with no animals. Entry was R50 for children And R 60 for adults. The play area is good for nothing and the braai and picnic area is very run down broken tables are just left there and not even removed. All the camps are overgrown with weeds and grass. Hope they do some serious maintenance on the place soon. What a waste of time and money

It was disappointingly small, looked like someone's backyard that had to make room for a couple of odd animals. It's a shame the place is closing, they had a good idea. So much potential that was not used.

Always good to visit the Lion Park but to be honest, we were disappointed at the condition of the grounds, which were generally unkempt and overgrown (extending to some of the enclosures). The crocodile pool was green and filthy - rather concerning. Please make some effort to get it right Guys.

I really like this venue, but the biggest problem is when people that hire it pur more guests into the venue than what it can handle. Has a great atmosphere and the owners really go out of their way to accomodate every request. The Lion Park has amazing animal walks though and the monkeys are by far my fav

The Lions still roar, and the rabbits still run around for the kids to feed. The Meerkats still bring great delight. Pity the Bush needs cutting, but am sure the owners will get to it. But let's support the Lion Park guys
