Lovely little place by the beach. The staff were friendly and checked in regularly. We had a table outside. We ordered the omelet with chips and oreo milkshakes. You can choose between chips and salad with the omelet.

The frozen coffee and Shelley's breakfast a treat to start the weekend. Head upstairs for a super view of the bay and surfers in the waves. If you're lucky you'll sight some dolphins.

If you are looking for a nice cosy place, then this is the place for you. Service was okay, I wish I could say it was better because I've had great service before. The food on the other hand was good and I didn't wait long for it. Their portions are a good size, I had an omelette and I must say they are not shy with their fillings😅. The restaurant has a great view of the Ocean. It is wheelchair friendly, has its own toilets. There's outside pavement seating and also upstairs deck seating for those beautiful sunny days.

So relaxing and stunning view of the ocean. You have the choice of sitting outside on the pavement area right opposite the sea. Or, if you prefer, sit inside or upstairs. Most tables seem to have a view ☺️ Food tasty and very reasonably priced. Service efficient and friendly too. On a Sunday they serve a 2 course, plated roast lunch. Highly recommended😁

Came in with my large family (10+) as they opened at 8. Service with a smile, very happy to accommodate, drinks and food came out quickly and perfectly prepared!

I was there the Saturday afternoon to try the place out. Their craft is really nice. I had a burger with that, the Shellys burger, but to be honest, it's nothing special... It's just a plain beef burger with a little drop of sauce... And the patty had quite a bit of fat dripping out onto the plate as the burger was turned. The fat made the bottom bun extremely soggy as well... Would have given a one or 2 for food. But... I was back the next morning, but this time with a bunch of friends for a nice breakfast. Had a big mug of coffee, in a mug about 3-4 times the normal size mugs at a price less than most other coffee shops. And the breakfast was absolutely amazing!! Real value for money. And that's why the food gets a 4 star in the end (saved by the breakfast!)

I was disappointed as they didn't have the beer I wanted to drink with my meal. The meals are great and one enjoys the meal next to the sea.

I had the privilege of having breakfast outside with very little wind on a glorious day. The breakfast was the big one with the 3 hash browns. Very very good, I didn't have to eat the rest of the day!

Took to long for food to come had a breakfast bowl and roasted bacon and egg and hashbrown breakfast. Hashbrowns had no taste eggs were a little over cooked for sunny side. Sandwiche was just overall bad from taste to the look of the sandwich was not roasted properly.

Beautiful, peaceful delicious food. Husband daid it was the best hake he ate in a very long time. My cheesecake was fantastic. Our waiter efficient and very friendly. I will recommended them to anyone that goes to Gonubie.

Simply love this spot. Great view of the ocean and refreshing breeze flowing through the deck. Some really good food too.

I came here just for coffee as we had loadshedding at my house and ended up staying for 5 hours, eating, soaking in the seaside view and reading a book. I had the most exciting breakfast and the most perfect coffee, wow! Shelly's coffee shop made my day; I will be back again and again and again.

Literally the best Chai Tea in South Africa. The best I have had in Africa! The food was good too, very fresh. But the chai tea alone deserves 5 stars! Whenever you in Gonubie beach you should definitely check out Shellys Coffee Shop.
