Lovely little home away from home I stayed here while on a business trip to East London, in the love room. It was just so lovely. A spacious room with all the amenities one requires. Cosy bathroom with amazing shower pressure. Delicious breakfasts in the morning. I highly reccomend Arum House.

Friendly staff and Owner. Very clean and some nice features in the rooms. Very safe area. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in future. One way to improve would be sound proof the doors as you can hear the kitchen .. but otherwise it's excellent .

That is an excellent guesthouse and from now on my number one to stay when we are in East London either for going out or business. Super clean, spacious. Wifi is 90/60 Mbsp - super strong. Guesthouse runs a generator when load shedding hits, no sitting in the dark or TV or Wifi off. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is super quiet, rarely slept that well at home. Short distance walk to a bar and a restaurant in Beach Road, Spar is there, too. Few minutes drive to the beach. 30R Bolt drive to restaurants downtown e.g. Grazia. Highly highly recommended.

Rather a Five star than the current 4 star rating in my view. Attention to detail. Such like filtered koffie with fresh milk in the rooms. And added biscuits to that as well. Each room decoration was different, but classy The breakfast table was set with a huge variety of foods and delights. If you left there hungry- its your own fault. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The free Wi-Fi had exceptional good speed, no struggle there Yes. There is a generator.

Arum House is my go to accommodation when I’m in East London. I’ve stayed at Arum on 3 different occasions over the years and the standard remains of the highest quality! Everything is perfect & very well thought through. The breakfast is exceptional and caters very well to vegetarians. Not only is Arum House central, but it’s also very close to a beautiful beach. I would absolutely recommend Arum House when in East London, it is value for money & so much more!

Quite and clean, great service from the staff. Only downside was that the geyser water was warm and not hot, maybe it was because of loadshedding.

Booked the place for my parents' anniversary. They absolutely LOVED their stay. The staff are so amazing and helpful and friendly (including their cat). The Breakfast was amazing according to my parents. The room was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much to the Arum team for a beautiful stay.
