Bat's cave was stunning to see. We parked at Reef Cafe and took the trails from there. You MUST travel in a group (at least four) since there seemed to be some possibly ill intended individuals along the way. Unfortunately, some of the boardwalks have been washed away. I am sure the walk there was much easier in times past. The tide was too high to go down but the view was worth it!

Great hike to the cave, but the only downside is the litter along the route and in the water. Can be quite disgusting during festive times.

It's not an easy walk to get to Bats Cave. A lot of climbing. Not suitable for young children. But when you get there it's a great spot for an adventure and swim.

An absolute hidden gem in East London. The trail spoils one with some the most beautiful views and the guides are quite knowledgeable.

The trail and caves are nice. However, be careful of the criminals. We went with three cars and all were smashed. They searched the cars and took out valuables.

An absolutely breathtaking place to walk and to visit however due to massive seas the walkway there is completely washed away and so it is now a precarious hike in spots. Also apparently not safe to undertake except in large groups due to some incidents a while back

This is a wonderful attraction and worth the visit. The cave can be reached via two trails, i.e. from Nahoon Point or from the parking area at the western sewer pump station, wesr of the cave. The cave itself can only be reached at low spring tides, although one can walk above the cave on the trails over the dunes at any time. The approach to the cave from Nahoon Point via the beach and coves is difficult and should only be attempted by adults. The approach from the west is relatively easy at low spring tide.

We enjoyed the hike, the views were very great and breathtaking. However the place does not seem to be taken care of and there are no markings , a big thank you to Mr Radebe from MBSA Coastal and visitors centre who guided us through the hike, he was knowledgeable and patient. Unfortunately the tide was high and we could not get into the cave. For anyone going there find information on tides and get a tour guide like Mr Radebe or walk in groups.

Loved this dawn walk to Bat's Cave, although the tide wasn't low enough for us to enter the cave. This rugged rocky coastline is stunning, with fascinating blowholes that send up vertical jets of spray.

(Translated by Google) We have made a guide to the cave. The guide was very nice and knew a lot about the flora and fauna. The looks are very impressive and as extra there were several dolphins to see. Unfortunately it was high tight, so we could not get into the cave. At the parking lot there are toilets and a coffee, which is also recommended. Anyone who has 2 to 3 hours, I can highly recommend the hike!

Our guide Desmond (who we bumbed into close to the reef Cafe) was excellent and showed us the way, which is highly recommended as the trail becomes quite treacherous as most of the trail has washed away. Definitely worth a visit, AT LOW TIDE!
