Nothing much to rave about here unfortunately. It's average at best. The savory pancake we had, chicken mayo and also chicken and mushroom was difficult to eat. It was packed full of thick white sauce which spoiled the meal. Food feels heavy and not easy to eat. Rather stick to the pancake and ice cream. Even that is average. It is right on the beach front which is nice but view often blocked by cars. Nice selection of art on the walls. Wish there was more to say but will most likely not come back there.

Good service and sanitation protocols with a yummy pancake made for a pleasant morning out. Huge sweet and savory variety pancakes as well as standard fare available. The friendly banter was also much appreciated

Name of the place says it all. The pancake was heavenly, it tasted soooo good, cheesy, creamy, ahhhh the bacon and ham my word. The shell pasta salad 😋 and having such a delicious meal infront of the beach👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽Their staff gave exceptional service, can't wait to go back😊

The Heavenly pancake house is a stunning venue on the beachfront of Gonubie. They offer a variety of dishes but specialise in savory and other pancakes. Food is always very fresh and the quality is amazing. Staff are very friendly, helpful and the manager is always close by to follow up on tables and customer satisfaction. The atmosphere is amazing with views of the ocean only meters away. Umbrellas provide shading on the hotter days. Their establishment is run like a tight ship and this shows when food is already out to the table within 12 to 15 minutes of ordering and presented beautifully. This has become one of my favourite regular spots in Gonubie and is an absolute MUST visit when on the beach front.

The food was already great the day that I was there. But the service was a little bit slow, especially considering that the place was generally quiet that day (I was the only table whom haven't had food yet, and there was only 2 other tables being served) and I only ordered chips, but it still took them about 15min to prepare and bring the chips. And it was really confusing as it seemed as if no one, not even management, really knew what they were doing. The waiter who served me already printed my bill before asking me if I was going to order anything else, which I deem very unprofessional, as I also worked as a waiter years ago, and I was taught that you ask the table if they needed anything else and only print and bring the bill if they asked you to, even if it is your time to knock off... The general atmosphere can also be improved quite a bit. Hopefully when I go there again things will be much faster and better. That is if I will go again...

We were a large group and mixed with a lot of kids. The waiter was attentive to our needs and was efficient. Pancakes were heavenly so they definitely live up to their name. It was busy but the wait was not long at all. It was a beautiful day and the atmosphere was electric. Definitely a place I would visit again. I had a bar one pancake but was very tempted by the savory ones. Portion sizes Re generous and well worth it for the price. The sea view is also very relaxing .

A lovely spot for pancakes, with an ocean view. Savoury pancakes were really good value and the milk tart ones - well, our boys wolfed them down. Definitely worth a visit!

The biltong pancake was delicious. My taste buds are watering just thinking of it. And the pancakes are so filling. Comes with salads too. Definitely worth your money.

Wow ! We came here for breakfast with my partner, he had been talking about this spot that he saw on the internet that serves pancakes .and this morning after thinking carefully as to where we were gonna have breakfast, we decided on the heavenly pancakes. I must say they exceeded our expectations, totally ! It’s good to be served something different for breakfast. We had the steak n mushroom filling with pepper sauce …mhm! Then we had the cinnamon and sugar pancakes ! Great atmosphere. I loved it !

We had breakfast there. Most places do not adequately provide vegetarian meals. However, they do accommodate me by modifying the menu. It was a lovely meal. The waiter was pleasant - thank you.

The most racist place I've ever come too. We ordered 20minutes before the next customers came in only, to watch the next customer finish their meal before ours could come. Funny thing is they ordered the exact same meal as us. Asked to speak to the manager who was a rude fool. STAY AWAY! THIS PLACE STILL LIVES IN APARTHEID.

The pancakes were light. The fillings were tasty. Those that had the coffee milkshakes said they were very nice. Generally a really good meal with family

We felt so welcome and were seated immediately and the friendly server made sure we were happy. I just have 1 request that if you order can servers ask if we would like our coffee with pancakes or coffee first. We personally prefer it to come together. Not a complaint, just something to think about. We always love stopping by. Thank you

We are on holiday at Gonubie beach. My mother and I decided to stop by this popular Pancake house that we have known for years when we come on vacation. We shared a Chicken and Mushroom Pancake and then a Peppermint Pancake. (IT'S BIG ENOUGH to share with someone;haha) My mother ordered a cuppochino and me a Moccachino. We walked out with VERY full bellies. It's a LOVELY artistic atmosphere. I felt at home because I am a photographer and loved the art on the walls. The waiters are so respectful to their customers and service is fast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We arrived at 11:00 and had to wait for a table which was fine. We were seated and received our breakfast 45 minutes later. There was a mistake and my omlette had bacon even though I said I’m vegetarian. The waitress proceeded to say it would take another 40 minutes for the kitchen to redo the omelette. The manager was quick to get us a table, but then didn’t care too much when we said we waited 40 minutes for the wrong order. I eventually just had an egg on toast and we had sweet pancakes. The food is below average, they don’t use quality ingredients (such as the bread and ice cream). Overall, I would not return to this restaurant.

I am really dissatisfied and will likely not come back. Don't even bother trying their cocktails, they are served with very little alcohol and when we complained after having our 3rd glass which tasted like Coke on ice, they offered to add more vodka at an additional charge to us. We then asked for the bill and promised never to return. Such a pity, beautiful view and low quality everything else. Don't waste your time like we did.

One of our local eateries and we always love the view as it overlooks Gonubie Beach and ocean. We have seen whales on quite a few occasions. We love the savoury tuna maye & onion pancake. My only "complaint is that they don't have more of a variety of good wines but this does not stop me from going there at all! I think I must chat to Salome, maybe I could take my own if the corkage is not too bad.

Unbearably hot the day we went there without much attempts to cool the place down with aircons. That being said the pancakes were great. Also be prepared to wait... It will take ages to make a pancake.

We arrived and wait staff were wearing their masks around their necks, not covering their nose or mouths. People who serve food are the most needed to keep decent hygiene. Social distancing was not enforced. Table was not clean and menus were sticky. We left. We're in a pandemic and i am not willing to be in a restaurant where this is not taken seriously.

Strict Covid protocol. Take a way or sit-down. Staff friendly, little bit expensive but the pancakes was define!!

Lovely setting, both sweet and savoury pancakes as well as other goodies.

Took the family there for a rare eating out experience during COVID. Everything was going well until it was nearing closing time. We were asked to pay the bill early because of load shedding, which was understandable, but then we were basically rushed out the door. My daughter was still eating her sandwich when a takeaway box was offered to her, and her plate was taken away while she was still eating over it. The manageress hovered around our table, the blinds were closed while we were still eating, and the waitress didn’t even thank us for the above normal tip. You would think in times like these where this industry is taking strain that people would go the extra mile. They didn’t even want to go the regular mile.
