Cold, slow service, not worth the money

Went to Spur at Hemmingways this morning. We chose Wykato for the evening. Not so good this time. Ordered chedarmelt cheese garlic prawns and the 300g steak. Not nearly as tasty as it used to be. Steak not as soft as usual. The prawns did not taste like prawn. Very salty and we could not taste any garlic. 16 year anniversary celebration with a twist. Still a good place to go - just not so sure what happened with the food this time around?

Great food, friendly staff and the lady in charge of the play centre was amazing!!! So on it, and kids loved her!

I ordered takeaways at approximately 16h45 on the 27th May 2022. The patties had no basting sauce. The "full" portion nachos only filled half the container, I am sure it was a half portion although I was charged for a full portion. To add further to the unpleasant experience, I was refused additional French fry dressing as there were already 2 sachets in the packet. I regret wasting my money at your establishment and most certainly regret giving the Waitron a tip as I had only discovered the poor food quality when I arrived home. .

We were instructed to go to our table while my daughter was still signing in for our family. We obviously decided to go to our table together so we waited for my daughter. We were then approached by a manager who also told us to go to our table while signing in was still not complete. I then told the manager that I am waiting got my daughter to finish signing in, at which, we got a dirty look from both the manager and the waitress. Our waitress did not check on us during our meal. Left a 10% tip, our waitress slapped our change on the table and walked off. I would recommend further training for both table staff and management.

Exceptionally noisy customers. Food was good however.

Today, the service provided was not at the standard we got last time. My friend was throwing a birthday for her son. It took so long just to get a waiter to assist, after multiple times of requesting from other waitresses to call the waiter/waitress for our table

Friendly, welcoming, efficient staff. Social distanced tables. Frequent sanitisation. Floor managers are always available and go beyond, IF there’s ever an issue. Well done to Vis and his team.

Worst experience ever, I find a worm in my food and who knows how many worms I have swallowed before spotting it in my food. "Disgusting" this branch wont ever see me again. Please start by educating the managers on how to handle complaints, and you need to take ownership when something goes wrong in store and not blame it on suppliers I have never experience this service (TERRIBLE !!!)

Awful Experience. The service was slow. The fillet was cut very badly with thick and thin pieces. Obviously then it wasn’t cooked correctly

Was a great atmosphere. I enjoy my time, and the food is of high standard. Service good and they are all helpful, in my opinion.

I would like to appreciate the lady by the name of Zoe Mdoda, she really live the standards of a Manager. There was a miscommunication with the previous manager at earlier shift before her. When I came expecting to receive as promised guess what, it was not as expected. However Zoe made it is so easy and I appreciated everything she had done. She really went out of her way. How I wish all the staff can serve customers as Zoe. Thank you Waykato for training your staff the way Zoe is trained.

It's a fun place for kids and very friendly staff there. Food is nice too! Love their avocado salad and peppermint caramel tart.

Visited twice in 2 weeks with family from overseas. On the first visit, the service was ok, however food great. The second visit, the waitress, kept on giving us the wrong food. When our food eventually arrived, all our steaks were cold. We had to look for a manager as the waitress was extremely slow, made errors with our order, and not attentive at all.

Very bad service , having to wait more than 15 minutes to place an order, until.i walked from table 27 to Reception to ask for attention after , as that was not enough , order eventually came my 2 year old was served fish fingers but i ordered viennas, i,m very Dissappointed with Beacon Spur...you guys need to pull up ur socks or we drive all the way to Vincent because they know the meaning of the customer service...

Great place but today you messed up. I ordered a 350g T-Bone (M)with veggies for take away. When I got home I got a well done hard T-Bone with chips and onion rings. Really now🙄

Today I had the freshest most scrumptious salad and a plate of wings. I love this Spur and always feel at home here.

Ate a delicious rare steak at the Spur. The service was excellent and the food was good. Will definately visit it again.

My family & I took a seat by the kitchen view. The reason why our food took 2 hours long to get done, yet there were such little people present in the restaurant, was because your staff talk more and work less. This is pathetic, it resulted in poor food taste: it tasted like your ribs were soaked in old socks for eight years then basted with burnt BBQ and your fries were stale. The food was as cold as ice. Do better, respectfully.

I travel a lot and have eaten at a lot of Spurs but I still prefer your crumbed chicken burger! It is absolutely the best! Great service and everything was so quick! Thanks for a great meal!
