Such an amazing place. I came from Dubai for a wedding. I stayed in Room number 2 it was nice and cozy and I felt like I had my own privacy. It was cold at night and it was so nice to have a heated blanket on the bed. The views were amazing and the hospitality even better. The owners made us feel like family. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and I will happily stay here again. Thanks Blues team for the hospitality once again.

Wow! What an amazing stay! More an hotel than a guesthouse. The food was excellent, extremely friendly and helpful staff, amazing views the rooms are out of a perfect holiday magazine. Just an amazing place to stay.

The service was excellent, warm welcoming from sis Nothemba, she made me and my family feel at home. The view/ nature is to die for, the place is spotless clean (hygiene 👌)...their food is delicious, the whole staff is user-friendly. I really really love it there. I am definitely going back there on my next visit in East London.

Owner(s) welcomed us with open arms, and saw to our every need. Very warm reception all around, and our WFH set-up was accommodated. The view of the lagoon/beach is just breath-taking on a sunny morning, and breakfast was served very speedily too. Few pointers: Add a hook or two in the showers Check that gate remotes all work Check that all TVs are in order

We booked the place for a baby welcoming party. The facility was beautiful, with our section beautifully decorated and staff paid close attention ensuring we experience the best service. The food tasted real good, I'm sure all of us had seconds!

Beach within walking distance, friendly staff and Fundiswa is just the best. Unbeatable view from the room and even better from the varanda. Oxtail was amazing..

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blues Guesthouse this past weekend, the room we were in was so clean and refreshing, the views are spectacular and the food is amazing! The staff are all friendly, especially Iviwe and Fundi who took real good care of us - they are true gems. I look forward to enjoying this spot on occasions to come.

Great stay

We stayed in room 2. Situated In the parking area at the entrance gate. Not the nicest room in the facility. There are other rooms that are much nice. Had dstv in the room and small kitchen. Breakfast was good, however at lunch the empty coffee sachets where still on the table. Tables not wiped down properly, generally a little dirty. Braai area was not cleaned once over our 3 day stay.

My partner and I decided to sleep over in EL unexpectedly after our road trip. It was already late at night when we booked at blues. When we arrived the staff welcomed us so well and place was clean. There’s a lady named Primrose I think, she honestly has good customer service. Only dissapointing thing was that our shower didn’t have a door so there was water all over after showering. Otherwise overall good experience.

Our overnight stay was lovely. Our only regret was we couldn’t stay another night. The guesthouse keeper’s name was Happiness and she was pure joy and the best cook. The room, the view, the breakfast all was wonderful; the homemade lemon loaf was so yummy and breakfast was made by order and delicious. The price was extremely reasonable. The stay was lovely but too short.

Staff were awesome, especially Happiness. We were greeted with welcome drinks and friendly smiles. The service was fabulous and views did not disappoint. Dinner could have been a bit better for what we paid, but overall it was really value for money and in a stunning location!

The whole place felt warm and cozy, the food was amazing... Happiness and Prim were absolute stars and very helpful/caring when it came to making sure our stay was one to remember. The views were breath taking and the room was beautiful, I felt at home right away.

The rooms were good, the service was great and the view was perfect and exciting

Very unsanitary room as the carpet, sink and shower were dirty. I changed to another room that had a filthy kettle, the bin had not been emptied as evidenced by fruit peels and empty coffee and sugar sachets from previous guests. There was a mound of fine sand by the door due to burrowing by ants that the ladies who checked me in did not clean,visible as it was. The TV was not working and the lady who came to assist could not get it right, despite her best efforts but she helped clean the sand by the door. I cancelled my stay and slept for one night instead of two and battled to get my refund from them and had to escalate the matter to the booking platform I had used. Kudos to hotel.com for their efficiency in having the matter resolved!! Their only selling point is breakfast and location but cleanliness is not their strong point.

We had an amazing experience. We had a breath taking view of the Nahoon River and Indian Ocean from our elegant and spacious room. I would recommend booking the all day Private Jacuzzi which looks over the river or just relaxing on the swings or pool watching over the river after a long days work or holidaying. Truly you get more than just a room to come back to at the end of the day. Super friendly staff.

When you get there you are warmly welcomed into the facility. Happiness is an absolute blessing and goes out of her way to accommodate you as guest. The views are amazing and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is great and definitely recommended. I will definitely be back on my next trip.

What I did not like is the owner opening our rooms with out informing us and that he will be having guests coming to view the rooms....... I felt uncomfortable with that But the food and services👌those aunties have good hospitality skills

I didn't stay at Blues Guest House. I went to a 90th birthday lunch there. Everything was tip top, venue, service and an excellent lunch was gad by all 30 guests. Will definitely visit again.

Last minute booking, lucky to get a room. Large modern bathroom. No dstv only etv channels. Looks like owner lives off site. Staff seems to be managing everything. Very kind and friendly staff.

Friendly service and great Breakfast. Just a shame that some other guests appeared to had a food fight in the eating area. Staff did clean up quickly and I enjoyed my breakfast in a clean area.

We were on holiday for first time in a long time and we enjoyed our stay, Well done to Happiness and the team for making our stay so comfortable, Anton and Donna have a good team. The beach, the breakfast, the pool for our girls and the views just made our stay. Just one thing to note our kettle in our room did not work and the bathroom door needed to be fixed!! Booked for b day breakfast. Non staying guests need to park out side the premises. No greeting or orientation was done on how the breakfast works. At one stage we all thought its just the bread and cream cheese. Keep you breakfast table simpler. To many odd things that don't go together. Just try, Cheese, bread, ham, butter, muffins, yogurt and fruit. Then serve your preplated food afterwards. Explain to the guests or put up a sign that plated food is being prepared as they sit down.

Appart from the breath taking Scenary that sets over the lagoon, let alone the world class level of their rooms which carry a sense of comfort, elegence and a home-like feeling, what dropped my Jaw was the Excellency and Warm Heartedness of the lady that was handling my crew and I. It would be a great injustice if I don't mension her by name: Thank You Dimples!!! You were the cherry ontop in ensuring that our stay there was nothing shot of Excelency!! A lovely spot in Beacon Bay, currently under renovation, but the views and animal lfie make up for that, especially with the short walk to a long soft sand beach and lagoon perfect for fishing and swimming.
