Great restaurant right on the Kwelera river in the Areena resort. They have Thursdays pensioner meals at reduced prices. Also Thursday afternoon free tea and cake for the pensioners. Highly recommended.

Went to Areena to canoe for the day.. What an absolutely beautiful place, spent hours on the river just relaxing and swimming. Will definitely be back to go quad biking and have a meal at the restaurant aside the river

Visiting Abby the Giraffe 🦒 was fun and eventful. Ally had a great time, while Hannah-Pie cried everytime she looked at Abby. Hahahahahahahaha none the less #FunWasHad

We had a wonderful experience at Areena Quays. My family went there to celebrate our grandmother's birthday. There is a very tranquil environment. The kids absolutely loved the playground and all the cute little critters. The food was also quite good. It took a bit long to arrive, but we were quite a large group and it was quite late on a Sunday afternoon, so that should be taken into context too. Would definitely visit again.

Kid-friendly game lodge with h plenty of activities- canoeing,slides,paintball shooting,river cruise.Enjoyed watching the giraffes,rabbits,peacock and ostrich family. Great views and ambience.

Decent menu with a variety. Very well priced. Family friendly. Most amazing environment. Indoor and outdoor option... right on the river. Always pleasant. Friendly staff.

Only the bartender works. Waited 25 minutes for service from a waiter to take an order. Due to slow service from the waiter, refuse to order anything. Can just imagine how long I will wait for any food or even just the bill. If you hate waiting, avoid this place till customer service from waiters improve!

Very poor service and waited for 45 minutes for 2 ordinary hamburgers that had apparently only just started to be done! Got up and and left!

If you want to enjoy a delicious Sunday buffet lunch with friendly service and a beautiful view, Areena Quays Restaurant is the place for you! Afterwards you can take a stroll along the river ... and probably wish you can stay here for another week.

Food was fine, I was just expecting more. Same as shotage of staff, the lady was trying around tables. Perfect atmosphere we realy enjoyed!

Tranquil setting just 15 minutes from East London. Visit the bar for a drink or enjoy a meal. Very good priced for great food.

Nice location for family and friends Alot of activities to be done around Total adventure. You can bring the kids to see some animals The food however, I didn't enjoy it. It lacked taste but I must say their butternut soup was quiet delicious

I did not get a great service, one waiter, serving so many people. Secondly, one person in a table not far from mine was smoking. Such smoke spoilt the taste of food I waited for such a long time. The Restuarant must have a designated smoking area and must not mix smokers/with Non Smokers the same applies with drinking which I believe triggered the smoking. I regret taking my family to such a place. Never again!

I was pleasantly surprised at the tranquility of the set up and the food was good. I felt that the resort itself needed a little DIY but fully understand the vastness of the property and the enormous task it takes. A pleasant day spent in all and a nice afternoon outing.

Nice drive from town out to Areena. Sunday lunch...3 course meal excellent. Will definately go again

We went for Sunday lunch buffet. We were not allowed to serve ourselves, due to Covid regulations, this led to very long queues forming. We had no condiments on the tables, so the salt and pepper at the service area was used and thus handled by everyone.......didn't make sense that we all used the same condiments but couldn't serve ourselves. The food itself would have been quite pleasant, if it had even been slightly warm. The long tiresome queuing led to us spending more time standing in the queue than we did eating our lunch. We had no chance to even get to the desserts, as everything was being packed away by the time we got there. The bar was so poorly stocked it barely seems worthwhile employing a barman. No bottles of white wine, no alcohol free beers. These seem pretty basic things to stock in a bar. Very poor overall and not an experience I plan on repeating.
