Small airport- neat and tidy. 3 Restaurants- Mugg and Bean, Debonairs, Keg and Spitfire. The staff needs training on friendliness and assistance to passengers. The lounge is small but perfect for the size of the airport where the staff here is pretty friendly.

I get an amazing service every time I come here but the airport is always busy when I am here, it would be nice if it had more restaurants as all of them were full when I got there. The previous time there were not enough seats, we had to stand waiting for check in time and boarding, this was before social distancing time. Very nice if you use Flysafair priority as they have separate waiting room.

Revamped since my last visit years ago. Neat and nice atmosphere with reasonable parking tariffs (free if you drop of or pick up within 10 minutes). Little strange to have to wait outside arrivals to pick up visitors. Guys with Taxy signs unfortunately allow to just about block the arrivals exit should be addressed.

Small airport, but neat and has some shops. I was glad they had a Mugg and Bean. It’s small so you don’t have to walk that much, kinda looks like a taxi rank or something.

Just would like to thank every staff member of the airport for all the help and making it possible to allow a minor to fly with me to Johannesburg. Then I would like to thank the very friendly and ready to assist staff of Mug and Bean for the very amazing staff. as soon as we stood there. As yesterday the 24/10/21 was quite chilly we wanted coffee and got it in no time. For my first visit in over forty years it was a great experience.

Easy access and easy parking. The airport boarding gate staff are obnoxious. The mugg and bean closes at 17:28 and the premier lounge bathrooms are not working. Overall, this place needs to improve to be in line with National Standards.

A bit crowded at the airport but the service was efficient for the space. No hassles which is what you want.

Small airport for domestic flights. Quick delivery of our baggage and quick way out.

Small airport with friendly and attentive staff - far more helpful than OR Tambo. There are no quality restaurants.

Small Airport. Easy to navigate but need to be more transparent with information. Better to give a written reason on a screen monitor as well as the PA announcement because the sound system is not clear. You would have scored only 2 stars if the Mugg and Bean service wasn't so brilliant. Maybe you should thank them.

Not a bad little airport. It’s small and simple. Signage could be a bit better but it’s not too complicated

The workers at East London airport are scammers, they close the gates 50mins before your flight leaves and tell you that you and late and your flight has left and you will have to pay R300 to be on standby for the next flight then later tell you that you have to pay R3000. The check in time and all the other information that you follow on your ticket they say it’s wrong and they have nothing to do with that if you bought it anywhere else expect the airport they will say it has nothing to do with them you should go to the place where you got the ticket to ask. So what they do is they take money from people that are desperate and people that were left by their flights and put them on your spot then when you arrive they will tell you the gates are closed knowing the is someone on your seat already then make you pay R3000 for the next flight which is they will put you on someone else’s spot, they use fly safair to do these scams and all the workers including the manager is in this.

Honestly it's been years and it is still by far one of the neatest and most organized Airports in SA. The staff is crazy friendly and welcoming.

The airport is not as complicated as other airports I've been to which is a good thing. Its close to BnBs and lodges, convenient for someone arriving in the evening.πŸ‘πŸ½

Everything goes so well until you get to check in. All I ask for is a friendly, helpful check in person, not someone facetious who couldn’t care one way or the other

The check in staff are warm and friendly however, the staff at the security checkpoint are extremely unfriendly. The toilet facilities are badly in need of an upgrade.

Arrivals toilets were filthy. We paid for parking but had to wait ages in a queue to get out and were turned away as the ticket expired...people at the booms were so rude, quite ridiculous... then they opened the boom after several people complained.

Prepare yourself to be harrassed by some over zealous security guard at the metal detectors if you've had a joint replacement... Completely embarrassed me, sending back and fourth through the detector every time I'm saying loader I've had a hip replacement! Up to the point he shouts back at me saying don't shout at me! Pulls me aside and frisks me... I've never been so angry and humiliated before! Think I'd rather take a bus to escape the embarrassment...

Shocking guys, absolutely shocking. The parking booms don't work, the shaded parking is in a disaster state. Pay stations don't accept cards. Bidvest lounge allowed us in and accepted our money but there was not enough seats nor room for us. No guys there is so much room for improvement really. Get your act together

Waiting for a flight to Johannesburg and the pub I am sitting at literally turns into some kind of after hours club complete with DJ playing loud house music. No flight or boarding announcements...no final boarding call so there I was sitting in the priority boarding area and nearly missed my flight. Really should be a better managed airport, its busy enough and passengers deserve better.

I really irritates many people to get into the parking at the airport. We are paying a lot of money to get into through the booms at the gate into the parking lot. A so called COVID wave sensor which does not work on both booms. Sometimes the button that can be pressed to get a ticket works other days it does not. I very frequently fly from and to East London and then you have to battle to get into the parking. Its not manned at all and when you shout for help you get ignored. ACSA is very close to loosing booms from irratte Passengers just needing to park and catch their flights on time. Carte Blanche would love this story!
