The staff have all been lovely so far and the food is petty good. The view is beautiful. However, our unit is NOTHING like advertised. Our family unit includes 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a giant empty kitchen. The bathrooms are barely functional. One can only be accessed by walking over a bed and going through a closet door (which can't be closed from inside). The other has broken piping. Several windows could not be opened (one broken when we tried to open it) and several others open into a retaining wall under a deck so provide zero air or light. There is no fan or aircon (as advertised). There is no cable TV (as advertised). The unit is generally in very poor condition. The staircase to the unit upstairs is totally open so no privacy and you can hear every footstep.

Only went for dinner, a wonderful seafood buffet. Very good service, nice food and a good place to watch the rugby, during loadshedding. Were so glad to be able to see the Springboks in action. Stayed there previously. Lovely rooms, long white beach.

The staff was wonderful, always available and accommodating. Excellent service and good food. The poor WI-FI connectivity was a total let down though, could barely get any work done. With or without load shedding the connection was terrible.

Loved every second there. Though we did not stay in the rooms and only drove through for the day, it can be highly recommend.

Spend two nights here in a room with a lovely view from the balcony. Food options were always very good and the staff was kind to us if we needed anything special. We arrived earlier then the check-in time and were allowed to spend time at the pool. During a beach walk we even managed to spot some marine wildlife! A few whales in the back and a traveling group of sharks. There are a lot of dogs though, walking everywhere and also come near you during eating.

Went there for the Spa special last Saturday. It was a bit overcrowded, we got there at a time when about eleven (if not more) hikers were checking in. We met three friendly staff members who made the visit a total bliss. A shout-out to the first lady we met, she left the reception to go and check if our masseuse was ready for us, so we skipped the reception area and paid after our appointment. We are definitely going back for a weekend stay! Special offered: Massage Jacuzzi Platter

Very great place for outing whether you need relaxation or adventure. Having the sea at your door step, spa and some adventures. Shop and playroom on site. Friendly staff as if you the only customer that for me was cherry on top. Food was great, buffet with different foods on each day. Definitely going back. Oh Thande at the spa was extra nice.

Best place in Chintsa for a family holiday! And the best is you don’t have to cook ;-) Kids are entertained 24/7. Friendly staff. We love coming here 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Stay over for business conferences annually, sometimes twice per year. Food is always good. Rooms are always comfortable. As for a conference venue, it is one of the better venues in terms of catering and facilities, I must say.

Loved it so much (we have 2 kids 11 & 14) and they loved it to. Having boogie boards available was awesome! Flying in makes it a mission to cart your own gear. We rebooked for December before leaving. Can’t wait to go back. Love that it’s so accessible from airport. I’m a Vegetarian and loved the food.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Crawfords. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was tasteful and clean. We had our own private balcony that overlooked the beach. The food was good (we are vegetarian) and good value for money. The resort is right on the beach with lots of walking and hiking in the area.

We love a week at Crawfords to relax, soak up the sun, and take long walks on the beach. Kids were kept busy with activities and making new friends. And everyone loves Chester, Splash & Clover.

The ocean view is fantastic and the food is absolutely amazing, especially for a buffet! My room was also very cute! Seems like the perfect place for families with kids. The Wi-Fi not soo great, and the conferencing facilities adequate but I imagine people go there for a holiday primarily, I went there for a conference. So 3/5 for conferencing but I’d definitely return for a holiday. Such an amazing place!

I always enjoy Crawfords and their Sunday buffet. I live in Austria now-with a big fine dining culture-however, I still always find myself thinking that I can’t wait to have a Crawfords buffet again when I am back in South Africa. The view is fantastic as well. Don’t forget to book in advance.

What an awesome getaway. Perfect location with stunning beaches. Kiddies have a playroom with plenty activities and outdoor jungle gyn. Child minders can be arranged. The views from the rooms are holiday-perfect. Must must visit...

Incredible sea view and even better lunch buffet - everything was cooked beautifully. While I didn't stay over at the lodge, the grounds are also impeccably clean and beautiful. It's a pity that the restaurant is so inaccessible for the elderly/disabled because otherwise, 5 stars would be fair.

After three weeks of non stop work, Crawfords Beach Lodge provided the perfect getaway. Hardly 40km from East London, it was the perfect shot left to enjoy with family. The kids enjoyed the safe, family friendly amenities and environment while I took some well earned serene time off from almost everything.

We stayed at Crawfords as part of our week walk along the Wild Coast. Such a lovely place, we were sad we only had one night. Will definitely be back again for a longer stay. Great food, rooms were very comfortable, lots of activities and a beautiful stretch of beach. Less than an hour drive from East London Airport makes it a great holiday destination

Family friendly holiday destination. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the two pools, including a heated one. Kids play zone, jumping castle and rooms with stunning seaview while I enjoyed the luxury of finishing off some work at the lap of tranquility. Plus, I can never come here and not rave about their food. Always on point.

Very nice family hotel. The locals like to do business lunches here, sometimes taking over the restaurant a bit. Beautiful rooms. Please redo the spa, you have a beautiful setting with beautiful views, definitely a missed opportunity to make more $$.

The staff is super friendly and they make Crawfords what it is. The location is lovely. The food is OKAY but could we expected better and also My husband had a cockroach in his dinner. The dinner quality got better after the hoards of conferences were over, which was a disappointment. There are quite a few repairs such as a leaking roof in the children's playroom, leaking toilet pipes which are a hazard in a children's Bathroom {my child slipped on the water}. Kids activities are fun and the nannies are sweet. There are some Expired items in the shop. It helps that you can get airport transfers with car chairs. The staff are lovely, but I doubt we will return for another holiday here.

Beautiful place and very well run. The staff is friendly and the location and the property is just a gem! For a easy lunch I can recommend the bungalow on the beach directly located at Crawford’s. Had the most amazing days there.

Fantastic holiday spot for families with kids. Great accommodation and restaurant, loads of kids entertainment, cool pool vibes, cold craft beer, magical ocean views and more. A bit on the pricey side, but we'll worth it for parents who need a timeout!

Arrived at the front gate, had to wait a few minutes for someone to open it. Would be wise to have some control systems/security in place at the gate to not keep guests waiting The lodge’s conference room is OK with nice views. The snacks and lunch buffet is really good (5/5 stars for it) Good portions. The games played and the team that supported our group was a big help and fun Overall I would recommend a visit to the place for an experience in Chintsa 👍🏼

A home on the beach with efficient use of space in the resort and a great sense of nature preservation. I love the antique furnishings and sea-view bedroom in Hornbill Cottage. Yes, the food and hospitality are great. Nice place, looking forward to another visit.

We visited this property last Saturday to check it out for our next holidaying. Firstly, the place is not too far from East London Airport. The drive is clear, and the signage of the place is clear off the N2. We were greeted by super friendly and professional staff from the entrance. The reception staff gave us a warm welcome and invited them to their property. Mr Kitchen suggested we have lunch in their Ala Carte Bungalow restaurant. The sea breeze and the views from the Bungalow, AMAZING. The menu has few dishes but mostly their signature choices. I don’t like Pizza, but it was highly recommended. I enjoyed the home made base and fresh from the garden toppings. The beef and salad, both fresh and tasty. We were spoilt with the most amazing gastronomic experience. The Restaurant manager on the day, Vuyile came to check if we were enjoying the experience. Chancey took us for a property tour. They are all knowledgeable and pay attention to every detail. We saw all room types including cottages, don’t be fooled by the name cottage because WOW they are beautiful, spacious, clean. I like the ambiance of the rooms and the beach feel. This is a proper beach holiday abode. I like the rustic different theme of the rooms, but the overarching is a beach feel. The cottages give uninterrupted views of the whole property as well as the sea. Thina and Sima are responsible for bookings, and they understand the needs of their clients, new and existing. Overall experience in this property is superb and the professionalism of ALL staff is unparalleled.

We were Strandloper hikers passing thru. The manager invited us in to relax and chill at the pool. So very friendly and accommodating. So we had a brief reprieve before crossing the Gonubie river later that day.
