Only experience, there was a double booking so we had to go and find another place to stay. We were not even notified before the time. Totally unacceptable.

Leticia was very nice,and she was very understanding when I was running late and she's so friendly even told her I am coming back with my whole family 👪

Was here from Thursday until Monday and it was a very pleasant stay. The owners are super friendly, the neighborhood is quiet and chilled.. the best thing is them having a ups for your wifi so you're never disconnected, the lights stay on too during load shedding so that's a plus right now. A stones throwaway from Kidds Beach too, you won't be disappointed. And you'll meet the friendliest cat on earth too!

We received a super friendly welcome and the rooms are so beautiful. I will definitely recommend this guesthouse. There is so much attention to detail in everything provided its almost artwork. Love it here

The perfect place to go if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, lovely bed and breakfast in a beautiful sea side town. We felt so at home and welcomed by the owners, loved the cats too! Will definitely be visiting again. :)

The place is lovely. Quiet and has a “home away from home” vibe. But If you are someone with a problem with cats, maybe the place would be a problem. Also, during our stay (3 nights) we were told that our room would not be cleaned because we were the only people booked this past weekend. The room was dusty, it was full of fluff. I felt that there was a level of disregard for us. Our room was not cleaned the whole weekend.

Not impressed. Booking was done with Agoda breafeast was included in price host denied is breakfeast. Two tea bags for two days we had to buy our own coffie sugar and milk. Coffie mugs from previos days not even cleaned or removed

As someone that travel for work, The Coelacanth was attractive initially as a good budget accommodation. It has access to major routes and is conveniently situated for travel from Port Elizabeth to Durban. Parking is relatively secure. However, after having stayed there for a week, I would very much like to return in a private capacity. The Proprietors are very welcoming hosts and it became a very restful place after all the daily issues one experiences when traveling long distances for work. With the beach so near, and most amenities also within easy walking distance, I would recommend this to anyone who wishes for a stay in a less well known area where there are fewer tourists and a more laid back feeling. Superb meals are offered as well as many ancillary services such as complementary WiFi, etc. In addition to the Bed and Breakfast the proprietors are also involved with several activates from animal rescue to local artists. You will also be welcomed by the friendliest cat in the world. My stay gave only positive experiences.
