😠 For the 1st time ever i’ve had the worst experience over the phone while trying to book an appointment.     Very poor service at casualty.. The nurse just throws the file in your face without explaining whether we should leave or stay. We pay them for their services so they technically work for us. At medicross they work as though they are doing us a favour. They are only interested in collecting money and not helping patients.

    Some, not all, nurses use the bed & arm pillow as pin cushions!!! They take the infected, bloodied needles & stick them in the bed everyone lies on after drawing blood or stick them into the cushion you rest your arm on instead of sticking them straight in the sharps bin. Look at the bed and pillows - there are needle marks everywhere. Twice I was there & both times someone had hepatitis...other patients are getting infected from unhygienic, dangerous, lazy practices. Don’t lie on that bed because of all the dirty blood that soaks into the sponge. Use your handbag or your jersey to rest your arm on. There are often blood splats that aren’t cleaned up. They sometimes charge me twice because everyone is confused, there is usually chaos, you get rushed by the doctors and you feel like a number and walk out not getting what you came for. Get a private GP at a private practice. Wasted thousands here and I never get anywhere.

    Soooo slow, staff totally oblivious to any urgency relating to patients. Doctors dont respond back to patients as per promises...so disappointing.

    I can not thank Dr Stander enough for the kind and care she took to help me, what one Dr could not do, she fixed so well. Excellent, work on my bridge, that fell out my mouth. thank you. thank you. Brought tears to my eyes, also want to thank the kind receptionist. Thank you. I was going home with a broken heart, she said take a seat. I am so grateful

    This place and service is terrible. They help you dont explain any thing or say this or that you get a email or call 2 weeks later o you have an account. But on medical aid very poor service

    I received a not so good service from Dr Pete'. He's so cold and unfriendly, doesn't even tell you what you sick from or what might cause what you're feeling. He just writes you a prescription and sends you to the treatment room. I left the consultation roomdissatisfied!

    An unprofessional circus where you get rushed! 🤬 The nurse couldn’t get my IV line right, threw it down on the dirty counter in a huff and reinserted without using a new needle and I ended up with a rash around the IV area. 🤬

    Worst reception personal, Vanessa who I spoke to was rude and she made it clear that it is a effort to assist. Sighing more than anything just wanting to get off the phone asap..... Get another job lady as that job requires compassion for people. Worst experience ever... I hope management sees to this and that this problem gets addressed

    Went there 4 times in one week R10 000 later and the one dr did not even touch me or take my temp. The second dr gave me meds which gave me an allergic reaction and when I went back the next day they wanted to charge for for NOTHING!!!! This place is disgusting and a production line. The drs and nurses have no compassion or bed side manner what so ever but grab your money with never a diagnosis.

    I had to go in for a medical emergency while visiting East- London. What a lovely surprise, the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Effective and efficiently coping with lots of patients. I was only there for just over an hour. Well done to the lovely people working there!

    This is the second time I went to this hospital and treated like trash. Two weeks back I went nerve pains on my back but the irresponsible young male doctor whom you could see he didn’t want to consult a black person was busy Chewing bubble gum. He ordered two injections onto my veins but had to go back in two days as there was no improvement, you could see that he was not welcoming to me cos being racist. Second time he ordered that I go for X-ray, guess what even the radiologist was surprised that the Doctor requested X-ray for my feet instead of the affected area. I decided to see my family GB who immediately told me that t have a serious condition and sent me for X-ray as well and it was confirmed that something wrong with my nerves in as much he booked a neurologist form me whom I am seeing today. Please young man doctor, won’t mention your name Just go and work in an all white hospital where you will not consult black patients. You are too young for your attitude.

    Worst service but they have absurd prices, you pay extra for everything including a pain injection excluding the fee you paid when entering for consultation. The nurses have no sense of urgency, I don't know but just the worst expirience ever

    If you get an appointment with a Dr you don't waste time sitting in the waiting area. Sometimes the receptionists are not nice especially on the phone, they can make you hold for more than 5 minutes (that's a lot time for me). By far very good doctors.

    Disgusting service! Would not help a 6 year old with a rash, crying in agony, because he had contact with someone with covid. Was told to take him to the pharmacy and come back tomorrow as they won't see him without him having a covid swab. Honestly I would rather die than ever go there again and would definitely NOT recommend them to my worst enemy. If a medical practice can refuse to help a child in distress.

    It gets packed on the busy days but if you book an appointment in advance then it's really quick. The queuing was mostly for COVID testing but i haven't experienced any queues since last year. You have to climb up the stairs or take the elevator to get to the next floor, where the dentists are located. Reception is quick after you've registered with them, so you just have to say what you're there for and who you're there to see. Dentists are really nice and understanding if you're nervous.

    Never ever again I have a very sick 18 month old baby with very high temp was told to sit down after 25 min nobody even asked my name left with no service at al. The receptionist are very rude and not helpful at all.

    What a horrible experience i had at medicross on the 29/07/2020 just after 6pm, having to rush hope to get to my son (8 years of age) who was attacked by a dog in his face and eye and then to be turned way as they did not see this as urgent as they were closing up for the evening. I do not recommend that anyone use a place like this who sends little boy away as his injuries was minor in there eyes. I am beyond disappointed and hope no one else has to go through what we had to go through.

    Pharmacy are actually from 08:00 not 07:00. Don't bother using online booking system, made appointment for 09:15 was seen 9:45 by completely different doctor. System issues were blamed, but we never have these issues in JHB

    Dr Nadine Stander is amazing to say the least. Assures you are at ease and comfortable at all times. And cares probably more than she should. And her colleague is just as sweet. At peace now that I finally have a great dentist in East London. 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️

    (Translated by Google) Better than expected (by the partly bad reviews) the ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. After taking the data, I was taken to the waiting room, despite full waiting room, it was relatively fast. The doctor was nice, I got an injection and medication prescribed. I had no appointment. Really good service. (Original) Besser als erwartet (durch die teils schlechten Bewertungen) die Damen am Empfang waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Nach Aufnahme der Daten wurde ich ins Wartezimmer gebracht, trotz vollem Wartezimmer ging es relativ schnell. Der Arzt war nett, ich bekam eine Spritze und Medikamente verschrieben. Ich hatte keinen Termin vereinbart. Wirklich guter Service.
