    Always happy to visit here. The best lemon Ice Tea around. Service with a smile. Quick service. Food always tasting great. Adhered to covid regulations. Clean tables with sanitizer on table. Great view while waiting for your flight. Always my first choice when visiting the airport.

    Friendly greeter, taken straight to a table. Lady who served us was friendly and quick to get the food and drinks to the table. Great coffee and a good meal. Service to make a franchisor and franchisee proud.

    Absolutely appealing experience. Onky one staff member in duty who was overwhelmed by her work and best if all she couldn't even speak English. I couldn't scan the till slip for my loyalty points as the invoice didn't have a Bar code. Hiw do I sort this issue out now???

    Quite shocking. Arrived 7:10 am, supposed to open at 7. Staff still cleaning, no chairs available, staff not bothered, just continued with their own conversations. Eventually they did us a favour and served us. Good food - but service seriously needs attention.

    we were double charged for our bill after the waiter made us swipe twice and said the first transaction will reverse and 2 days later no reversal.. Is this your modus operandi to be dishonest??

    Food, value for money and service was appalling. The food portion size was disgraceful compared to other mugg&beans'. Shocking, shocking, shocking. Embarrassed for the brand and sadly this is what tourists will experience on arrival when visiting the east london coast.

    I am extremely disappointed with the service and standard of our meals at this Mugg & Bean today. It has always been the go to place for a meal when flying from East London. I am afraid, no more!!! Our food was burnt, the chicken strips were like cardboard and no sesame seeds as advertised on the menu. The portion sizes compared to other Mugg & Beans were totally unacceptable for the money you pay. There were 3 of us and none of us were satisfied. Shocking!!!

    Ugh. I like so expected more from a Mugg and Bean. We were waiting to catch our flight, work eat and enjoy some coffee. The waitress was so slow. I ordered food and it took over an hour! We ordered other things and top ups for our unlimited coffee but literally just to top up a coffee took over an hour!! I had to fetch her in the kitchen several times. Even when we wanted to leave I had to fetch this incompetent person. Like can you just take my money so I can leave!! We were there for 5 hours. And she topped us up only 3 times. 2 of which I had to fetch her because after ordering she never returned. Ridiculous.

    Stood waiting at the till ignored for over 20 min just to order and pay with only one person in front of me (who was also being ignored). The team needs better management. You need a system where people can order and pay and a separate person makes the coffee.

    I am so impressed with the East London airport Mugg and Bean staff! We enjoyed a lovely lunch before our flight and then headed to the plane. The service was fast and friendly! When we were on the plane a mugg and bean staff member boarded the plane to provide up with a cash refund as they realised too much money had been put through the card machine. Incredible honesty!

    Sat down and waited for 25 min for enny service then ordered a coffee and the waiter never brought enny sugar or asked if that was all wen I ordered food it never arrived so I paid my bill and the food was included on the bill just shear outright ridiculous

    Zero customer service.I passed by while waiting for my flight to JHB. One of waiters told me to come in and sit anywhere someone will come take my order. No one came to attend me till I asked what does one do to get served.that was 30min later by the time I receive my order it was my boarding time.

    We were taken to a dirty table, given menus and we then sat for 30 minutes without being able to placing an order. We called waitresses over twice but we're simply ignored. Not good enough by any standards. Edit in answer to Mugg and Bean response - link does work. Typed in the link given, wrote a detailed response and once again “something went wrong”. Clearly the problems are not just with service staff.

    I paid R195 for half an avo, rice and Cabbage. Chicken was not edible, dry inside, so much batter it hurt to chew it. I paid for the meal and tipped coz waiter was not a problem. I complained about the food and was offered an apology from waitress. I will not return to this establishment should I have to make use of this airport again.

    Arrived and took a sit and no one came to my assistance. 15 minutes passed I went to the counter decided to place my order. Lady took my order left me standing at the till. After more than 10 minutes standing there another waiter asked if I could sit while I wait for my order. While sitting waitress comes with my meal in to go takeaway and she says was not aware that I wanted to sit in. To cut long story short as I start to eat half way through my meal she comes with a bill and stands there so I can pay. As I sit there a group of ladies walk it, they are greeted with a smile from entrance and asked to place an order. (I don't want to say they were treated like this because of the colour of their skin) but had bad experience in terms of service.

    A friend took me for a quick catch up before my departure. However, when we were leaving the establishment, a waitress looked very miserable and emotional. When we asked her whether she was okay, she broke down into tears. She said she was very exhausted and that the manager refused for her to take the day to rest because they were short staffed. With mental health being a global pandemic especially amongst young people, it is very disappointing for an establishment such as Mugg n Bean to be perpetuating such an issue in our society. I was very disheartened at what happened today, and consequently will not be returning to Mugg n Bean !

    The service was excellent but I found little stone while I was chewing my meal. Bought the big cheese burger about 30-45 minutes ago and I couldn't go back as I had already left. After that I couldn't enjoy my mean as I was scared to chew on another stone

    Food tastes great but that’s expected from any mainstream restaurant like Mug and Bean, However a one star is awarded as the service is awfully slow for the single restaurant that is in the airport, a reshuffle of staff is in order. I’d highly recommend the fishaways take away next to mug and bean if you’re in a rush.

    Not a regular Mugg & Bean I'm used to. They don't serve you. You order from the kitchen. Seating is minimal and not maintained. Food portions are tiny and in take-away form. I ordered a chicken wrap which normally comes with a side of chips. It was very small and not at all worth R50. Vert disappointed. Especially for a Mugg & Bean.

    My cup had a huge chip around the edge of the rim & my saucer had two chips in it. The waitress did not seem concerned when i showed her. Also the staff simply ignore a person.

    Food tastes great and service is brilliant. While waiting for the plane you can’t help but pop in for a bite to eat and a drink. Only bad thing is you can’t hear any announcements as it’s to loud inside.

    Arrived at 7:05am. Nothing was ready, chairs were still up, staff #1 said they open at 7am and said I should go ask someone else to assist. Staff #2 lied saying they only open 7:30am. After mentioning that I am aware of the 7am opening time she then told me to wait 3min for the floor to dry. She had an attitude and sighed. This is unacceptable service, especially the attitude received. I have always loved mugg & beans menu but serious changes are needed with the service at this branch.
