The service is at the counter and really nice. The restaurant is a simple italian trattoria style, chairs aren't so comfortable but the design is style modern casual. The food is why you go there, they have an interesting menu and their pasta is really good. I got the Rigatoni beef ragu with peas and it was delicious. We got a side order of their Mac and cheese that is delicious and we had their bread pudding that is just perfect. Will definitely come back!

I see a lot of positive reviews for the Tuscan Son restaurant, so I guess eating in is preferable to ordering togo because I've been disappointed with the quality of food I've received with my togo orders. They also cut their cake portion on the thinnest layer possible, which is not worth $16.48 price, especially if you get the mascarpone cake to go. Not recommended for take out! P.S. Togo orders were placed at the Tuscan Son West Los Angeles location, not through an app.

Experience the true essence of Italian cuisine at this hidden culinary treasure. The attention to detail in every dish is truly remarkable. The homemade pasta, prepared with love and skill, is a revelation. The flavors are well-balanced, and the presentation is a feast for the eyes. The restaurant's commitment to sourcing fresh, local ingredients shines through in every bite. The knowledgeable staff is always on hand to guide you through the menu, recommending the perfect wine pairing. A must-visit for anyone craving an authentic taste of Italy.

This place is the one of the best eateries in all of West L.A.! I ordered the Avo toast (and I consider myself an expert on avo toast) it was by far the best I ever had! Very fresh and delicious and such a generous portion for the price! Usually it just tastes like bread with guacamole but this had it’s own spectacular flavors! My husband ordered the lasagne omg! I swear he wanted to lick the plate-it had a rich meat sauce like I haven’t had before. And next time I want to order a bunch of desserts - they apparently make all their own desserts and their Nutella cheese cake was out of this world!

Overall positive experience. Portion sizes and ingredients are inconsistent, sometimes small like side dishes. However, Tuscan Son could greatly facilitate ordering, especially phone orders, by posting better descriptions of its dishes as well as their prices on its website, and on the emails the Café sends to customers. I find it annoying and time consuming to call, sometimes wait on hold, then try to understand what the staff is mumbling in describing the dish, then in quoting a price that might include fees and taxes. This is why I no longer call.

Sit inside on a Sunday just before the end of Summer, perfect weather. Not too many people inside, outside was full. Ordered 2 plates for 2 adults and a 6 yo kid. Had no left overs, it was delicious. Then we had a huge slice of Nutella cheesecake that easily serves 3. Will come back to try the lasagna italiana and other plates. Ciao, a presto!

This review is about ambiance in the restaurant. Upon arrival, the woman at the counter seemed indifferent. My partner and I went in 12/01/22. It was not a welcoming environment. We were seated somewhere uncomfortable and we did not want to continue to dine in the establishment. We requested to cancel our order and both the cashiers were very unprofessional. They said our order was about 10 minutes until it was out but then said it was about to come out. They made us seem like it was our fault we were uncomfortable but from the start, the first cashier was not welcoming one bit and took our order with a sour attitude.

Lovely place with a lot of great looking desserts. Banana bread was great, fritata was good but not as flavorful as I would like, and the side potatoes were great.

The dessert selection alone is incredible, especially all the cakes! The entrees are delicious too. I’ve only been here twice but both experiences were great. Friendly service, plenty of free parking behind the building, and great views of the Latter-day Saint temple across the street.

Important detail: this restaurant is counter service. They will serve food to your table but you will order at the counter. We went here on a Sunday night and ordered: rigatoni, shrimp and vodka penne, roasted vegetable salad, and brussell sprouts. The pasta was good and reasonably priced for LA. Nothing amazing but they do have other handmade options that looked appealing. The salad was a mediocre creamy dressing with an underwhelming amount of roasted vegetables. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked. We didn’t order any baked goods but they looked delicious. They did not have wine but appeared to be applying for an alcohol license. Overall: probably a great lunch or to go spot, but not a good option for date night. The outside seating is nice but subject to the noise of Santa Monica blvd. It would benefit from table service and alcohol options. The staff are friendly.

Outstanding Italian food and baked desserts in a relaxed atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining as well as take-out. Meatball panini and lasagna are yummy. Marscapone very berry cake is excellent too. Pretty much everything here is delicious.

Love the Eggplant Lasagna and Blueberry pie. It's the best. All baked goods are wonderful. Arugula salad is awesome also. Indoor seating is limited, so get there early if you want an inside table.

I didn’t want to write a review because this place is a gem that should not be exploited for trend. Took my mother here for her 65th birthday dinner on 9/24 and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in recent memory. From the delicious food, Al fresco dining atmosphere, wonderful patrons and the stellar award-winning worthy Very Berry Marscapone Cake by pastry chef Mateo, Tuscan Son is a gift to the Los Angeles dining scene. But my last compliment goes to Jonathan and his fellow server- with ease, kindness, and recommendations to boot, he handled the never ending line of guests and orders and was able to serve us and make our dinner special through it all from first course to last. No attitude, not flustered just pure professional! To the owner(s) you should be proud to know your restaurant is in capable and outstanding hands. Cannot wait to return again soon!!

The Tuscan salad was breathtaking. Probably the best salad I’ve ever had for such a reasonable price. Great ambiance outside with garden and lots of space. World Class restaurant!

Bland coffee + $1.5 surcharge for oat milk! Also not sure why ground coffee ended up in the beverage - possibly the worst coffee I have had in LA - NEVER AGAIN

Came here on a Thursday evening around 8:50PM for their chocolate cakes. I often come here around this time every week right before closing (9:00PM) without an issue. I was told they were closed. I was quite disappointed as I just got off work and drove 15 minutes just for their flourless chocolate cake and chocolate mousse cake. These cakes are still on display in the fridge are just sold the next day anyways. I saw the workers still gathering orders in the kitchen at that time. Definitely upsetting. If you don't honor your store hours, please change them appropriately.

Tuscan Son is absolutely fabulous! Their food and service are consistently excellent. Today I tried the Tonno Mare, the Italian tuna salad sandwich. Get it with a boiled egg. It’s not only delicious but it’s healthy as well, especially with the side salad. It’s now my favorite sandwich at Tuscan Son. Top it off with the Nutella Coffee cake and you won’t be sorry. And as an added bonus they have free covered parking. Go ahead and treat yourself!

Tuscan Son is small establishment where you order at the counter, and they bring your dinner to your table. My wife and I shared the Zucchini Lasagna & Roman Ceasar salad. The portions were generous. Both were very tasty and far exceeded our expectations. We particularly noted the salad was not drowned in salad dressing, as is often the case; it had just the right amount. The wait staff was cooperative and professional. When clearing away the dirty dishes, the waiter stacked them on his arm unlike some restaurants where the stack them in front of you on the table. We sat outside at their sidewalk tables. Although the restaurant faces Santa Monica Blvd, the noise level at 7 PM on a Saturday night was not objectionable; we could easily carry on a conversation in normal speaking voice levels. I expect we'll be returning again.
