My son's and I were in the LA waterfront area and randomly came across the Lane Victory and glad we did. Self guided tours which was nice because you had no rush, you could take your time. It has two museums so plenty info to retain.

Very iconic Merchant Marine Victory Cargo Ship used in WW2 to transport cargo and personnel from different parts of world to the location of demand. They have regular cruises during the summer with food and entertainment along with live aircraft flyover simulating WW2 type aircraft attacks. Definitely a national landmark that should be visited if you love history. Jesus Loves You!!!

I went for an event over the Labor Day weekend and had a great time! The ship is a floating museum and the event was fantastic! I'd definitely come back!

I had the best time on SS Lane Victory. I went for an event LA Harbor Hop ... Had live band and pinups contest . And friendly people... And crews on the ship were very friendly as well too ... The music 1930s - 1940s dancing . And off the ship was lots of vendors to choose from ... Food was awesome ... Can't wait to go back next year ... Thank you SS Lane Victory and La Harbor Hop ...

It's amazing to see how they're revitalizing the ship. There is so much to see for a "small" ship and the new location (new to me) really displays her sage grandure. The ship is slowly being restored and the volunteers restoring her are so friendly and ready to give you a custom tour depending on where you want to go. Didn't know just how functional the entire ship is. And most functional things are original to the ship. The woodwork in the original officer quarters are also so beautiful and well preserved. Love some of the little things, like the cruiser stern, which you just don't see anymore, and the old-fashioned boat deck, and the overall shape of the ship; one of the unexpected gifts I experience was the slight rock of the ship when the offshore winds flailed by from time to time. Made me feel like we were sailing. Speaking of which, I hope she is able to sail again in 2022 like planned. You know I'll be looking into a day voyage.

S.S. Lane Victory is hidden gem, full of history. Make sure someone in your party has I.D. -- you'll need to be signed in at the entrance. You will then be given a vistors badge and a map of the ship. Self guided tour.

Great place to volunteer and live history, if that isn't your thing it's a great location to see original historical machines and normal people working hand in hand to restore her to her former glory.

We used to do the cruise to Catalina on this ship and I have incredible memories with my grandfather on this ship whom is no longer with us. I really love this ship and hope you guys can find funding to repair that boilers and bring her back to glory. If i lived in the area still, I would donate time to keep her afloat, this ship is a treasure!!!

Hello everyone. Check out the S.S Lane Victory for this is another historic ship filled with so much history since its construction. This legacy ship, contains many historic news papers, model ships, uniforms, torpedoes, helmets, flags...ect. When on board, ask the museum tour guides as many questions as you can about its history but how it also makes current history across many industries such as the entertainment industry. I've had the pleasure or being to film recently in sections of the ship that are closed off to the public and the pleasure of listening to the restoration team talk about the roles they play in maintaining the ship and there history as well. For more information please visit the Lane Victory website for more details such as the museum schedule, upcoming events and so much more.

With a $10.00 boarding fee, and free parking, this must be the best entertainment deal in L.A.!
