This place did not disappoint! We went for a birthday and everything was so good with excellent service. The drinks were strong, the oysters were were delicious, the steak and fish were amazing. Prime rib was the best imo. The deserts were all great (we got 5). 5 stars!

On our first visit to Dal Rae, we were underwhelmed. Arriving early at the bar for appetizers and cocktails before dinner, we found three bartenders yet struggled to catch anyone's attention. Despite one of the bartenders letting us know he would be with us, it took another ten minutes before he acknowledged us. Although we enjoyed the old-fashioned and lemon drop drinks, we ran out of time for appetizers. However, our main courses, ribeye steak and prime rib with tableside Caesar salad, were delicious. Nevertheless, our server's attentiveness left much to be desired, as we often had to search for him, and he failed to check in on us at the table.

Great food, amazing service. I've had better for the price but not much better. Nothing to complain about.

Dal Rae never disappoints. From the valet service to the wait staff, everyone has a keen eye for impeccable customer service. The food is delicious, I had the swordfish. Very generous portions too. My husband had the filet and he was thrilled with it. Can’t wait to come back.

This place is a classic. The food is not as good as I remember, and I don't think they have a shrimp fra diavolo that they used to have. The iceberg wedge I got was so gloopy with blue-cheese it was over the top. The poor man's pepper steak was pretty good but by the time I had finished the salad I really wasn't that hungry. also we had the wheel of Brie as an appetizer, at first I thought it was too small but we're so rich we didn't finish it. The vegetarian options were super weak. But the service was attentive and the atmosphere is one of the best around. I love the music in the bar and the people watching is outstanding. All the fixtures are really great and I love the sign font. It's a really great night out even if the food is not that great. The valet shared a chicharrón and it was good

Old timey steakhouse with delicious food. Father's day late lunch before a movie. Love the sourdough, crackers & garlic cheese bread. Started with a shared rock shrimp plate. Had the bone-in rib eye, lobster thermidor and the prime rib. Loved all 3 entrees. Garlic scalloped potatoes were really good. Overall it was a wonderful Father's day meal.

Cozy and romantic. Delicious margaritas and martinis. The filet mignon black pepper steak was delicious. The mash potatoes melt in your mouth. The creamed corn was delightful. The mac & cheese was scrumptious

Provably one of the best dinning experiences I've had in a while. Great food, great service, great staff all around. This is a real throwback of a restaurant. If you ever wanted to experience how people dined way back when (50s/60s), then this is the place. Their bar selection is incredible!

Came here to celebrate a coworker's retirement and we had a great time. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Very festive during the holidays. The food was pretty good except my prime rib was overcooked for medium rare. Valet parking only so be prepared for that when you arrive. Good for large groups and parties.

We had our anniversary dinner here, the Caesar salad was outstanding as well as the prime rib. Cocktails were on point as well. They played oldies straight outta east la and it was quite groovy baby.

My friend raved about the Chilean sea bass, I was disappointed… it didn’t taste fresh and was not as silky as I had at other locations. Their famous pepper steak was over cooked (more medium than medium rare) and all the veggy stuff on it was not appetizing for me. Wanted to love it, but I don’t know if I would go back.

First time coming here for lunch. Food is always outstanding but had a turkey Ruben and was a bit dry. Wife's sea bass was excellent and chopped salad was great as well. Drinks are always strong and service is always good.

Popped by for lunch last week. I have always done dinner here but never lunch. Great lunch menu. The Wedge salad is the perfect starter. Large enough to share. Granted I wish it came with red onion instead of white. Split the Baseball sandwich. Will definitely stop in the next time I'm in the area. I need to try their Cuban sandwich.

Milestone location with plenty of character. There is valet parking. No street parking as it is off a large multi lane street. But there is plenty of parking on residential streets just east of the restaurant. They have a loyal, and large following. Recommend reservations. Slightly upscale attire required (no flip flops, shorts, etc.). Plenty of dining options - main room, outdoor patio, bar, etc.. traditional menu. A bit pricey, but seems to be paying for part of the overall experience. The food was fine, but nothing exceptional.

Outstanding food, great ambiance and superior service. The waitress could've been a bit more jovial, a smile wouldve been nice... too business like. But the food..ohhh the food. Top notch!! Ribeye was cooked to perfection, French onion soup was delightful and the sourdough bread was fresh. We didn't have reservations but they sat us anyways. After dinner we hit the bar area and continued our evening there while listening to some good music. Definitely coming back to this establishment. Update: great service from Miguel the waiter. Food was superb.. make sure you go here for a delightful meal that your tastebuds will thank you for.

What can one say about Dal Rae that hasn't been said, classy, top-notch, and first-class service. Wish I would've ordered the steak. I chose scallops. The scallops were perfectly cooked, only that the sauce was pored over and the firmness of the beautiful char was lost. Service was perfection, food was very well coursed-out, our server on point 👌🏾 Can't wait to return for the steak this time around.

Their food is the absolute best. My wife loves the drinks at the bar. Greatest atmosphere ever. We're teaching our boys to bring their future wife here whenever they'll want to spoil their little lady. Always a good time. Especially when you want to decompress from a hard day at work. Try their pepper jack steak. 🤌🤌🤌

Love this place! The waiters are very nice and friendly. Food is really good, we usually try the oysters, ahi tuna. Calamari and the tomahawk. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Atmosphere is classy and low lit. Valet only parking, reservations are a must gets very busy.

Old classic garmento restaurant. You really can't go wrong with anything you pick from the menu. We had oysters in the half shell. I usually prefer them small but this was beyond small so I felt we didn't get our money's worth. Got more of the juice than the oyster. Oh well. The prime rib was amazing and the demi filet mignon with mushrooms was amazing.

Great atmosphere, excellent service and great food. My father Jose Sr., rest in peace, was a regular customer at this establishment, which I have been going to since I was a teenager, he loved Del Rae and they always catered to him as they did us. Thank you!!!

This my first time coming to this place. I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great. My scheduled time was 5:30pm. After walking out around 6:50pm, there were cars trying to get in from the street. It was super packed. Word of recommendation: be mindful of busier times. So don’t come late for your reservation. Got here early honestly. Sea bass and the pepper steak, both staple items here from what our server told us. These were great choices! Totally satisfied. Also, not on the picture, we ordered fried zucchini. Those tasted great. If you are looking at old menus, don’t be fooled. Their food costs went up like every else after 2022. All to say. Great fine dining place in the middle of the hood. I guess that’s what makes LA… LA👏

This place was amazing!!! You must eat here at least once and try those oysters oh my Jesus! I left feeling like a brand new spoiled pampered human! Thank you Dal Rae!

This is a great place to go be with friends and have some great food. It’s the way a restaurant should be. Music is not louder than the conversation and the lighting is not so dark the menu can’t be read and we were not rushed out to make room for others. The food was great there were steaks, chicken and seafood served between the six of us there was not one complaint.

Classic steakhouse, with solid, good food. Drinks could have been a little stronger, especially since the Manhattans I got were short on the pours. I don't like that the smoking area is accessible via a door near the bar and the ugly smoke is allowed to seep inside. Was there too early this time for the live entertainment .at least they used to have live entertainment .. and you have to order an entree AND ask for the relish tray now if you want it. The menu says it is included with entree, but the bartender fought me on that point until I showed him what it said on the menu I had .. .. Expensive, but heck, what isn't expensive these days ... Make sure you have cash for mandatory valet parking on site.

The Dal Rae restaurant is a true hidden gem. The minute you walk in there it makes you feel like walking into the nostalgic 1950’s era. The food was delicious I had the filet mignon medallions which was delicious! I would have given the restaurant a 5 star rating but unfortunately the hostesses that work there are not the most pleasant nor are they warm and fuzzy nor do they make you feel welcomed. One had a scowl and arrogant look and was all down to business. I do have to say that our waiter was very attentive and congenial which made up for lack of congeniality of the hostesses.

Visited this place for the first time. We didn't get seated for 45 minutes after our reservation time but once seated the experience was great, the food was great and our waitress Jackie was friendly and the most accommodating waitress I've met in a long time. Management also followed up to see if we were doing okay. Hostesses lacked friendly personality but it may have been that they were overwhelmed with how busy they were, I still give this place 5 stars.

So bummed about this place. No more steak Diane, steamers, huge lobster tail. It's all gone. Everything that made this restaurant unique is all gone. No more table side service. The center of the room is so packed with tables now that you couldn't get a cooking cart out there right now. No more wilted salad. The service was still good, and I had to settle for the peppered steak. It was good, but I had my sights set on lobster and steak Diane. I understand. They have to move with the times as trends change.

The atmosphere is lively and upbeat with live music. It has a 40-60’s feel to it. You can imagine being there with great artists from that time. You know this place is popular since reservations are required on any day of the week. The restaurant is full on Weekdays. My family and I were there on a Wednesday. It’s very upscale. The service is spot on and food is absolutely superb! They are known for the best served steaks which they lived up to but the chicken and fish dishes were great too…fresh, tasty and delicious. I highly recommend Dal Rae.

This place was way better than you’d think looking from the outside! We go out just about every other weekend for date night, and I scrolled past this spot for months. Momma always said, “Don’t judge a book by its cover” and that’s some good advice! The service was great! Our waitress and her helpers were so friendly and personable! Our food was delicious! We got the Calamari… the lemon butter sauce was quite good, a bit heavy for me, but Matt liked it! All of our cocktails were tasty too… refreshing and flavorful. Yeah atmosphere is perfect for date night, they also had some live music which I always appreciate! We got some complimentary cheesy garlic bread which was really yummy! For the mains… I got the duck and it was Devine! I ate about half of it and the other half for lunch the next day, it was still good! The bone in ribeye was perfectly cooked! We saved about half of it for a second meal. For dessert we got the cheesecake. It was light and fluffy, worth every calorie lol

Excellent flavors and portions. Service was good but only thing is they didn't update menus and still show garnishes as complimentary but they actually charge now. The manager made it up to me by giving us a free dessert. It was my first visit so that part was a bummer but the dessert definitely made up for it. Great regulars that go there... we met a few and now made new friends. Over all great experience and will definitely be returning!
