I booked a facial (not my first time with this company) I elected for an upgrade for my booking but felt deceptively led about the total price. I also purchased a product (they tried to pushed 3 on me). I sometimes like to buy their products. They are not earth shattering or ground breaking skin care products by any means. When I paid the front desk girl did not give me a receipt, I had to ask for it. Then when I mentioned I wasn't aware the price I was quoted in the treatment room was on top of the base price (the way it was presented was as a total price, "the x facial is x amount"). The two girls at the front desk didn't even look up at me. I had to reiterate my concern that prices should be transparent and people should be informed, they just looked at me. I don't know if this happens often or if they just didn't have the customer service skills to reconcile the situation. I did not want to make a scene, I just wanted to try to enjoy the remainder of my day. When you go for a spa treatment you want to feel refreshed/rejuvenated. I left feeling slimy and taken advantage of. I submitted my concern and Stacey, not the manager, returned my call. She attempted to reconcile the situation and apologized (I don’t mean to sound harsh but as someone who worked in customer service for several years I am not sure what type of training Hand and Stones staff receives, if any). They offered me to come back and I can PAY for another facial but they’ll throw in a free upgrade…. Who wants to go back to a place that makes a relaxing experience feel like a deceptive money grab???

Really disappointed. I booked a facial for 2pm and was still sitting in the waiting room at 2:15pm. I asked the women at the front desk if they had an update on the timing and they said they would have to go check. They told me it would be a few more minutes and when I asked how many they say probably five. I understand that things happen but I had to inquire at the desk about the status and quite frankly being 20 minutes+ late to an appointment is unacceptable when there are scheduled times. I'm a new mom and was looking forward to my hour away but ended up cancelling because of the timing with when I needed to be back for my baby.

Hand & Stone Bellmore unabashedly STEALS money under the guise of memberships! They will continue to charge you FOR YEARS after you cancel and then refuse to refund your money! DO NOT GO TO HAND AND STONE BELLMORE!!!! (Update: Below "response from owner" is for show, my emails and calls continue to be ignored)

I began to get my massages right when they opened up. It'd been almost 5 years and I still have my membership. They have not changed one bit in terms of their professionalism and service. I always feel truly welcomed and appreciated there. The massage therapists are phenomenal!! Depending on your needs and likes you may find any and all are great or you, like me, will have your favorites! I highly recommend this place. It is truly money well spent.

I would not go to them or join them! I called to freeze my account due to I got into a really bad accented. When the last time I called to cancel my account the girl said okay. Well the also charged me for the last 2 months. They won’t do right by the customer or if they mess up. Now I have to call my bank to dispute these charges on my card!!!! If I was you stay far far far away from this place. If they fix the issue and refund my car back for the two months I will update my review but as of now do not go to them!!

Extremely disappointing experience during my first visit, would not return. The massage was not helpful or relaxing in any way. Also felt very Covid unsafe. Response from manager when I shared my concerns was disappointing as well.

Don't go here. Have gotten facials here. In the room they say I did a little "extra". Next thing you know at check out theres another $40 on top of original price. Then they constantly try sell you products. The worst part is you leave the facial relaxed only to be sold hard on packages, and no matter how many times you say no they push it. They truly only care about the money; not you as a client or your experience. Stressful here. Can get a good facial anywhere, not worth the stress they put you under.

I really feel like the bad reviews have to be misunderstandings. I have been a member for a year and a half now, getting either a massage or facial 1x month, and I have never been disappointed by the service. I've used almost every masseuse and never left feeling like I didn't get my moneys worth. Also - when I first became a member, it was because I asked about it, it was NOT overly sold to me or promoted to me, which made me want it even more!

Avoid the subscription. They do not honor the credit you have (even only three months after you cancel) and go back for a massage or facial. The manager said she will solve the problem. Very much appreciated.

I had a massage and facial scheduled just like the rest of the 3 black women in my party. My tech chatted the entire hour of the massage. I stopped talking in the middle and used um ah tones. She also assumed because I have faux locs I smoke week. On top of that stereotype, I was told to get dressesd to get undressed again for my facial. I was not relaxed and very annoyed. I still gave a tip. The massage was good mouth was not.

Love the massages and facials her! Definitely worth it to have a membership if you plan on going regularly.

Jeannette is amazing. She pampers yet leaves my skin glowing long after the service is provided.

Nice and clean location. Simple to get in and get started. The massage therapist was nice and did a good job. It would have been nice to understand what was going on a little more instead of just jumping into the massage, but I could have asked questions too.

Corina is really good with the facials. She has the softest soothing voice EVER!!! She explains what she is doing as she's doing it and she knows her stuff!!! I came in thinking my face looked fine but I left there feeling like it's even that more clear! Visiting her is so relaxing .... THANK YOU CORINA for always giving excellent work. I trust her advice!

I having becoming here since it opened 5 years ago What a great group who work here Christine the manager is the Sweetest always with a big smile on her face If you want a relaxing massage Savy is the one to go to And if you need a deep tissue Heidi is the masseuse for you The spa is clean and very relaxing Go and treat yourself for a spa day or hour

I had a wonderful experience here on 3/6/21. Everyone here was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good0 facial. I would definitely be coming back! Ps. The staff here is awesome!

Hope at Hand & Stone in Bellmore was nothing less than AMAZING!! I walked in feeling so sore and stiff from working out and after her amazing massage I felt like a new woman! Thanks so much Hope!!

I’ve been going here for awhile now, Santos is definitely my go to person! He even has that relaxing angelic voice , definitely would recommend him. I’ve tried other men but it’s just not the same.

Horrible service. I cancelled my membership because I always had trouble getting a straight answer regarding my packages (with the company as a whole). I was charged despite asking to speak with a manger due to their error. I was denied. I just filed a formal complaint with BBB and flagged the charge on my credit card. Beware of issues with membership if you join here!

My first facial with Paulina was wonderful !! It was so relaxing and the massage felt amazing. Christine at the desk was also so sweet and helpful ! Highly recommended:)

Edit: Be careful. Upon making our appointments, we were told we would be charged introductory prices by someone on the phone but at check-out, day of, we were told "those prices are for members only" which feels like an oxymoron. We even came back the next day to see if something was calculated wrong, but it's just policy. So that's the reason I'm here. They also added money onto a 20 percent tip we already added without asking us. Massage was harsh but it's my own fault for not being more clear when I was in pain.

We never had a facial before. The appointments were wonderful. My daughter (15 years old) loved her experience. I thought it was amazing. We will definitely be having another one
