Excellent staff. I've known about this place for over 40 years. I asked today, they have been in business for 46 years. Food is always at the top of the game. Pastrami off the hook. They ask how you like it, lean or fatty. I prefer fatty, much juicier. Square kinish and bowl of matza ball soup and you won't be able to walk for a while.$27.00. Recently started getting pastrami and corn beef combo together on same sandwich. The corn beef cuts back a little on the salt taste that comes from the pastrami smoking process. There split pea soup is excellent. And it doesn't have ham hocks in it. I make mine with ham. But it really doesn't need it based on this. Not sure how they do it.

I thought the pastrami at Sarge's Deli on 3rd in Manhattan was good. But not as good as this 40-year-old kosher deli in Commack. The rye bread held together well, the hot, thinly sliced pastrami... freshly made. The rye bread did not fall apart like at other delis. My cup of split pea soup was deeply satisfying, fully flavored; you don't see this on menus. My husband's chicken in a pot soup w/Matzoh Ball was a fully loaded chicken noodle soup, served piping hot & full of flavor that comes from days of simmering. We also enjoyed the potato pancakes with applesauce. Potato pancakes looked like fried bone-in chicken breasts. And the applesauce was homemade as well, not sickeningly sweet, but light & addictive. Definitely will come back. Not cheap but a nice customer behind me gave us a few coupons.

Everything about Pastrami N Friends is amazing!!! It has that authentic Kosher deli vibe that makes you feel at home. You must get their pastrami sandwich... it was delicious and juicy. The chicken matzah ball soup was flavorful. Even their burgers were great. The service is superb; our waitress was attentive and friendly. They are super nice behind the counter too! This was our first time dining here and we loved it so much!! Highly recommend this place and we can't wait to come back with family/friends!

My husband wanted a "good pastrami sandwich" so I Googled Kosher Delis and this popped up. We took the half hour drive. Worth it!! In a strip of stores, you walk into the Kosher deli counter, and proceed to the restaurant in the back. Not too big, quaint and clean. Retro hockey and baseball pictures hanging in the walls, take you down memory lane. They serve pickles and cole slaw to start you off. My husband had the bologna and pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was good good, he thought it was made on property, but it was not. They have it delivered from a Kosher distributor in Brooklyn. The Menu also has many touches of Brooklyn incorporated into it. I had the Knish-wich. A square knish, with your choice if meat on top, I chose Corned Beef and it was a hit!! I also had a side of Kasha and gravy. Delicious, warm, comfort food. Absolutely worth our drive!!

The matzah ball soup was great. It's always the small restaurants that have the best tasting food. The staff all knew their jobs and were very friendly.

Going there for 30 years. Good food. Prices have gone up quite a bit, but, so have every one else's. The chicken is very good. Its always great for a knish and a hot dog. The pastrami can't be beat. I highly recommend Pastrami and Friends. Love the sports pics on the walls. Special place in Commack. During the height of the pandemic the line was outside and around but you know what, it was worth the wait. A big thumbs up to those guys.

Excellent !! Pastrami and Corned Beef were very tasty. They give you very good pickles and Cole slaw for the table when you sit down. The picture is of their deli case that has amazing kugel and other items.

This place is no joke. Best Pastrami I've had EVER! I'll be back even though it's out of the way! So good!!! Back a few times since my first post and this place doesn't disappoint. I drove 30 minutes out of the way just to get these sandwiches and it's worth it. Check them out.

I’d leave zero stars if I could. Not only do they not answer their phones, I went in person to place sandwich orders with items directly from their menu… I was told to my face no we don’t have that, this is a Kosher Deli! Word of advice to all… don’t waste your time

This is the place to go for a pastrami sandwich. My cousins who live in North Carolina were up here on Long Island in April of 2023, and they still love today.

Our first time here. We will be back. Our server was a sweet woman and very attentive. The pastrami, baked knish, matzo ball soup and coleslaw was to die for! I forgot to take a picture of my sandwich 🤦‍♀️. The matzo ball was so so light! Can’t wait to go back and try something new.

Excellent food and service in a nice clean and comfortable setting. I had a pastrami sandwich and it was tender and moist and served in just the right sized sandwich. The rye was also great...not dry as many are. Our waitress could not have been nicer and was very attentive. Places like this are getting harder and harder to come by these days. This one is really a gem and well worthy of a stop if you are looking for some nice kosher deli food.

The food here is superb. Nice friendly people. A pleasure to dine here. The best pastrami and I love their round kanishes. It is a bit pricey but they make it worth every penny. I will be back soon. Kudos.

Great Pastrami. Ordered as a little fatty and taste was great. Topped off with deli mustard and lunch was served. Great Pastrami is always a little pricey so if cost matters to you, then $20 for a sandwich, chips and a snapple might not be for you. For all else, no regrets.
