😠 This hospital is a complete joke. I went here last night with horrible pains in my stomach and lower back. They almost sent me home without even testing anything. I saw two nurses, a PA, a cat scan tech, and an emergency services “doctor”. I had to explain my symptoms every single time. Why not just... People often mention hospital, staff, care, nurses, Hospital, doctors, great, Glen, nurse, experience,

This hospital is a complete joke. I went here last night with horrible pains in my stomach and lower back. They almost sent me home without even testing anything. I saw two nurses, a PA, a cat scan tech, and an emergency services “doctor”. I had to explain my symptoms every single time. Why not just read the chart before you come see me? Not one person had a smile or any sense of compassion, they were all living in misery. It had been two hours and no one put an IV in my arm nor did they give me pain meds as I was screaming. Not to mention the nurses assistant came in and joked that he wanted to be the first to congratulate me on my pregnancy. I was not pregnant ?? How inappropriate. I would rather risk my life and die on my way to manhasset hospital than ever come here again. Skip this hospital. The only good reviews on here come from the doctors and nurses WHO WORK THERE.

first of all the security is very lowkey & sometimes there’s no one at the front desk at all. they don’t ask you any questions, not even what you’re there for & that’s obviously very unsafe and dangerous... my grandfather has been here for days with an unattentive staff that makes my grandma do everything for him & the nurse tried drawing his blood after she said she couldn’t see well & wasn’t even able to turn on the light! we tried moving him to a hospital we were more familiar with & they made it very difficult, we were never able to. I’m mad

My friend is currently in this facility recovering from multiple fractures and 3rd degree burns. The rehabilitation section is great with great Therapists, the medical side is as poor as they come. Four patients to a room, one window. Nurses are scarce, very long waits for attention some as long as a hour. Seemed to have a staff shortage. Inconsistent dispensation of medication. The Nurses Aides all have poor attitudes and there is a palpable feeling of contention when dealing with them. I told my friend to leave this place as there are issues with their staff.

I do not advise anyone to come to this hospital! They’re very rude and are not very helpful! They would rather rush you out of the hospital and take your money, then to treat the actual problem! When I tried to speak with the supervisor about his staff he rudely talked over me, and was quickly trying to leave the room instead of listening and properly addressing the problem. I wouldn’t come here if I was dying and this was my only option. They need a new staff that actually care’s about the well being of their patients.

I had major surgery here between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I could not believe the quality of care I received! This hospital exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Everyone was so pleasant and compassionate, from the top surgeons to the janitors. It is obvious that they are committed to giving their patients the best medical treatment possible. And the hospital is immaculate, which is so important for infection control. My daughter needs minor inpatient surgery over the summer and this is absolutely where she will be going!

I first would like to say the pre-surgical team was great. I felt safe and in great hands. Unfortunately I found the post op team to be very pushy, and I am appalled at the condition they deemed acceptable to discharge me. I was still heavily anesthetized, very nauseated. I couldn't eat and could barely hold my head up. The nurse barked at me, "hello are you with me" when I could barely respond to her discharge instructions because I was so sick. The team literally had to dress me, because I was too weak to dress myself, and then put me in a wheelchair to push me out the door. I came home and my family was horrified at my condition. I collapsed into bed where I remained until the following day. It was very clear I should have stayed under professional care overnight. There are no words to describe the lack of care I received as a post op cancer patient, and would not recommend anyone to seek care at Glen Cove Hospital.

The emergency room is very well run. The staff was courteous, and efficient have been nicer which is rare. Dr. David SILVER I believe took care of my wife as did the nurse Alex Fernandez. A very pleasant experience considered. Would highly recommend. Thanks to all the staff Emergency room.

If I can give 0 stars or even write a complaint, I would. My uncle came in after getting into an accident. He could not get up or stand on his own. They send him to the nearest ER, which happened to be at Glen Cove. I’ve been to many ERs in my life, as I am also a healthcare provider. This ER does not prioritize any tasks or patient needs. When I got there, there were blood samples just left on the table, my uncle said it’s been there for hours. No one came to tell us what was going on or what we were waiting for. I had to go find one of the nurses who were sitting at the desk chatting to see what was going on. They tell me he was waiting for a CAT scan. We waited 2.5 hours for one. Then, the nurse comes to take blood samples again, discarding the first few test tubes she left on the table. She sends someone else to get his first set of vitals, that is 3-4 hours after arrival. My uncle did not have any fluids running, he was dehydrated and he is diabetic. No one checked his blood sugar levels or urine. After 5 hours waiting, they tell us they had to transfer us to North Shore Manhasset to get an MRI. Not only does my uncle have a fracture on his spine, they did not even do the basic assessments during the 5 hours he’s been there, I would never bring my family members here. It’s horrible.

Just wondering how much you pay these people to give you a five star review. This hospital is an absolute disappointment to north well hospitals. I wouldn’t let them touch me if they were the last hospital on earth you will never be able to hire enough staff to ever turn this place into a good hospital again. Katz women’s Hospital will always be my go to. They are a wonderful hospital. Maybe this place should learn from them and go back to school to get proper training because these people are not nurses and doctors. They are clowns and an absolute joke. Take my advice DONT go here if I could I’d give you zero stars😂

My mother was in their rehab center for post stroke recovery in May 2018 for about 2 weeks. Their staff stole my mom's ipone 7plus. My mom is 79 years old and could not talk. We gave her big new iphone to help her to recover memory as the pone has Chinese TV show she loved and family picture. We reported the phone lost right away, but their reaction was very disappointed. They said it might in laundry dept, however, we made so many calls and laundry dept didn't answer and the hospital just didn't care. Today is June 18, the phone was recently located in Newark, NJ. Someone in hospital might sell it to someone. In addition, their brain unit social worker and nurse would never return calls after my mom left the hospital when you called them for assistance. You think it looked a kind of decent hospital outside, but they had quite many problems in management (no coordination) and patient care. Very disappointed.

Had a wonderful experience at Glen cove emergency and hospital. I am rarely sick and walked in with a scary medical emergency and was admitted there after. Everyone I encountered was on there "A"game, nurses, doctors techs, the medical staff were all very attentive and personable. I highly recommend you go here for any medical needs. Shout out to the Third floor Nursing Team, Viviana , Maquy, Ula, Marie F, and,Pilar. Keep up the great work! Thank you ! L.C

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hospital to others. I suffered a puncture wound, came into the hospital unable to put weight on my foot and their treatment consisted of giving me a tetanus shot (at my request), dipping my foot in saline, gluing the wound to seal it, and putting a band-aid on the wound. They didn’t examine my foot the way I would expect anyone in the field of medicine would. They didn’t poke around and ask if any other parts of my foot hurt either. I asked if I had to worry about any muscle damage or infection, they said the wound was superficial and sent me off. The next day, I went to see a specialist, the podiatrist took one look at my foot and saw it was infected, he took X-rays and agreed no structural damage but he was bewildered by the hospitals diagnosis as “superficial” and the treatment to glue the wound as this was precluding the wound from draining. Long story short, had I not seen a specialist or not been able to afford to see a specialist it’s very possible this could have been a much graver situation- infections are no joke. I did follow up with the hospital and speak with their patient outreach but in the end, I received a certified letter that stated they treated the wound properly as per their diagnosis. Interesting. I am giving an extra star for how pleasant the staff and doctors are here, the cleanliness, the speed of service, and the hospital amenities (TV in rooms, etc)… but alas, these are not reasons why one should visit a hospital.

A few years ago, I had a GP here who was just useless. Any issue I came to him was met with disinterest, boredom, and his infamous "I've seen worse", as if that justified his inaction. The last straw was my 4th or 5th meeting with him, in which some student handled the entire check-up and continuously attempted to change my words by speaking outloud while she wrote down my complaint. I guess they focus more avoiding malpractice rather than patient care.

Hospital itself is great no complains I was treated well surgeon Laura S is amazing... People that handle the billing have not a single clue what they are talking about. You know it’s bad when you call THERE customer service to help and they also bash them as well. The lady I spoke to Michelle Brunson should quite honestly be fired. Her etiquette is god awful and when you ask her questions she makes you feel stupid for asking genuinely good questions. Secondly whomever collects the money the name escapes me. she told me I was not allowed to leave without paying the entirety of my deductible. Fine. Then I asked to do a payment plan and she stated they did not offer that option so instead she charged me and even tried charging me more than what my deductible stated. Her word were “ well don’t worry you can pay what your insurance company says but what we have here is the amount and we will collect it so don’t worry” GUESS WHAT she was wrong I was right. I’m sorry but never in my years of health care have I had to put a deductible up front normally a percentage is taken out. First you wait for claims to be processed and then once they know how much it will be a statement should be sent to collect the balance. I was told to an estimate that I had to pay without knowing what the cost will be. WHAT SENSE IS THAT. Beware, and do not pay up front. Wait for your EOBS and pay then. Oh by the way surprise they do offer payment plans. SO Now they owe me money because sorry to use bad language but this lady was an utter idiot and clearly had no idea what she was doing. They over charged me and my insurance company clearly stated that they did and now I’m in a long battle with them Because there billing department in GC does not know what they are doing. Sure there are good eggs in there but this woman messed with my money and left a sour taste in my mouth. Quite honestly I have no problem paying but to guess what the amount could be and not allowing me to wait for my EOB and actually cost to come out is STUPID. Instead now I’m owed money and they are attempting to fix it now after almost 3 months. I hope I never see her again quite honestly because I am sure if it was her money she would not want it to be messed with. Ive submitted multiple complaints about this specific woman now. Once I figure out the second woman’s name she will be getting the same treatment. Not only did I notate everything she said I also recorded our conversation solely because everything she was sharing to me I’ve never in my years in the medical field heard.. PLEASE CALL YOUR insurance company before any payment is made. THIS was my first time going through this so shame on me for not checking but shame on these people for not following proper procedure.

I was skeptical about the hospital due to the reviews, but I was rather impressed with how my pre-op team treated me. Everyone I encountered from check-in at the security desk, prep nurses, anesthesiologists, and recovery nurses were all great! I would recommend anyone seeking medical care to go to Glen Clove Hospital.

I was at this exceptionally run facility for 12 days in January 2020, after having a C3-T2 posterior fusion at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. I can say that Glen Cove Hospital’s Acute Rehabilitation is beyond exceptional, SIX stars should be an option. I did my research and chose the best Acute Rehab facility on Long Island and I am certainly glad I chose them. I give my highest recommendations. I first of want to thank all of the Doctors that treated me but special thanks to Dr. Neel Chandel, Dr. Michael Andrews and Pulmonary Specialist Dr. Martin Moskowitz) as well as all of the exceptionally caring nurses and assistants and the best nursing supervisors who were able to expedite things and keep everything running smoothly at all times! I had the absolute best physical therapist, Joan R. and Occupational therapist, Lauren T., both of whom are very skilled and personable, they pushed me to build confidence in my ADLs and rebuild strength and coordination in such a positive way where I can say that they both made a major difference in beginning my recovery. You should request them both! Lastly, but certainly not least, the Recreational Therapy Department, run by Lauren and Laura, is fantastic, as they provided excitement whether is was bingo or group discussions or just talking with them. They made a big difference to me , keeping up the positive energy after a full three hours of therapy and medical treatments . They created a sense of normalcy and fun even though I had to be there a long time for my recovery. I am most appreciative. Gary N. Greenlawn, NY

Worst experience ever. Dr. Chavda was very dismissive and didn't not offer any other solutions when I came here with my girlfriend for her MAJOR abdominal pains. Every time we asked him for other solutions or help he would tell us he has to go and take care of someone else. While my girlfriend was in the middle of vomiting after being given morphine for the pain, the nurse kept being rude telling her to sit up and switch hands literally while she was vomiting so that she can get blood . How are you so impatient with your patients that you literally try to have them hold their hand out to give blood while they are throwing up. Very unprofessional nursing staff and ER doctor. Please avoid this hospital and this doctor they don't offer many options to help you. I've never written a complaint about a doctor ever. Please avoid Dr. Chavda !!! Worst doctor ever!!

Worse hospital you can come to. All the doctors do not know what their doing. They are more of a urgent care. If your dying please avoid this hospital. They need to be recertified and checked. This hospital is very disappointing the doctors are judgemental. Same doctors every time you come. Dr sha is the worse doctor there. Trust me you do not want him. He misdiagnosed alot of people and hands out pain killers a excessive amount that leads people to addiction.
