Four of us came here for my Grandma’s birthday and we were deeply disappointed in everything about Porters. From the service to the food it was unimpressive and disappointing. We had the Chicken Pot Pie, Crab Cake sandwich, Lobster roll & Lamb Chops. Lobster roll and French fries were the only good things we had. The chicken pot pie was watery and took forever to be served. We should of been informed of how long it would take to be served. It took an hour from when we ordered our food to be served. The lambs chops & crab cake were clearly cooked too early bc by the time they came out they were cold. It wasn’t busy for a Saturday afternoon but still took so long to be brought out. The waitress was very nice but seemed to disappear for long periods of time without any updates. We wouldn’t come back here again and don’t recommend it. If you want a good chicken pot pie check out NoFoPies.

Came here for the first time and the restaurant was nice . The interior had a very homey feel. I got the calamari which was good but be aware they fry peppers and mix it with the calamari which was pretty good. I got the chicken sandwich for my lunch and I was a bit underwhelmed especially for the price . The chicken was small (check my photo) and didn’t have much flavor I had to ask for more mayo because there was only a tiny strip on it and the sandwich needed it . The sweet potato fries are way better than the regular ones. I highly recommend them . This place is nice but on the pricey side

Found this gem in the heart of the quaint historic downtown of Bellport Village after seeing a show at the Gateway Playhouse. I was not disappointed with anything. Looking forward to going back soon.

Beautiful restaurant. The glazed salmon was fantastic, but a rice pilaf rather than mashed potatoes might have been a better combination with the sautéed spinach. However, the meal was delicious.

I had a little extra time today, was in the vicinity of Bellport, so what the heck; why not knock off another Burger that was on my Buger Hit List🤷‍♂️ I enjoy Bellport, and have good memories there. I House sat for a friend a few years ago, and fell in love with the Village, and all it's offerings. It has a few restaurants, an Ice Cream store, a brewery, drug store, grocery store, pizza , AND a Theater. If you are a resident you get your own ferry to Fire Island. An unheard of bonus, on Long Island. It feels like you are in an isolated place when you are there. As I drove South on Station Road, off Sunrise, towards the Village, I was getting a slight bit of nostalgia for my former, temporary home, and a huge sense of Angst,😳 wondering if the burger was still as good as it was a few years ago. I ordered the burger my usual Medium Rare, without all that lettuce, tomato, and onion, IE rabbit food. I'm happy to report the burger was fantastic!! It had the brightness, and saltiness, of a true, grilled Sirloin burger, and the structure, feel, and juiciness, of a in-house, hand pressed, burger. The bun to Meat ratio was more than appropriate, as one, didnt overwhelm the other. Toasting the brioche bun added to the buttery taste of the brioche bun. The French Fries did not play second fiddle to the Burger, in any way, shape, or form! It was immediately obvious that they were hand cut, soaked, and rinsed, in house, as the soft interior of the fries burst with that tasty prominent, potatoey flavor. A little on the high side for a burger, $18. Any cheeses, or other additions were $2, $3 extra.. You looking at $20, to $23, if you load it up. The fries come with the burger. I do not begrudge the restaurant for charging what they do... As much as I enjoyed it, and would have no reservations recommending the burger, or the restaurant, it did not break into my mythical Top 5... It is certainty a Top Tier burger, in my eyes, but not Tippy Top. I enjoy blended meats in my Bugers The sevice was efficient. The help was professional, and polite. The restaurant is beautiful, in a rustic way, wood floors, wooden beams. Etc As I was the only one at the bar, for a good portion of my time time there, one would expect good service, and it was. Plenty of parking, as there is a Municipal lot right next door, and a decent amount of street parking. A small caveat, the Village is busy on weekend evenings, and in the Summer, so parking can get a bit scarce. Do NOT break the 30 mile an hour speed limit, you will get a speeding ticket😉 Porters on the Lane, Bellport Village 2/4/2024 Btw...The license plate of the car in front of me in the parking lot, must be a Deli or Bagel Store owner, or a BEC freak, love it🤣🤣🤣🤣

Very nice place. Food was delicious. Had the short ribs which were so good. And the filet tips for the app was great. Server was very attentive and we had plenty of time to enjoy. Not rushed out the door. We sat in the room with the fireplace so it was warm.

Love this place. So many great dishes- you really can't choose wrong. Nice atmosphere all year round, whether inside or outside in the warmer months.

The food was phenomenal. We had a Retirement party there and sometimes food can be overdone and tasteless at big events, NOT here. EVERYTHING was delicious. It was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection.

As someone who used to come here a bunch a decade and change ago, I was pretty disappointed this time through. The vibe is "slight upgrade from a chain restaurant." No judgment if that's what you come for—the place was busy—but it wasn't why I did. Half the menu slathered in oversweet barbecue sauce, flavorless and textureless mashed potatoes served with nothing (seriously, if you weren't going to do a gravy, you couldn't put a teaspoon of demi glace on top?), clean but low-effort buffet plating. Mediocre beer selection but some good cocktails. Fried provolone appetizer had no flavor in the cheese but was fried to perfection and the marinara/pesto worked well. Abrasive acoustics, especially if you're next to a wall. Bring earplugs if you want to hear the person next to you without reading lips. Service was fine; no problems but nothing bar-raising either. It's not a ripoff, but you have better local options nowadays.

Food was excellent. Service was friendly and very helpful. Dining room was a bit loud mostly due to acoustics. Pleasant amd wonderful atmosphere.

Food is masterly delicious. Fine dining tuned to long island cuisine and awesome staff. Excellent whiskey selection and even better bartenders. Highly recommend, especially th steak tidbits.

Food, service, and atmosphere were great, but the drinks were a little short-changed 👎 meaning they were small and less desirable taste wise

The pan seared scallops over asparagus and mushroom risotto is one of the BEST dishes I’ve ever had, it’s amazingly tasty! My husband loves the lamb chops, cooked perfectly! Truffle sauce is so yummy! All the meals are absolutely delicious , the atmosphere, the staff, I LOVE this restaurant!!
