Sub-standard room. Tub faucet would not shut off. After having the bathroom door shut for an hour it seemed to reek of sewer gas, my husband said the toilet was not fastened to the floor good. The toilet water pipe also leaked. Not sure what IL law is about smoking pot but several times during the night I could smell it. Several young people loitering outside by hotel rooms. Lastly we did realize until bedtime that the door did not latch and the deadbolt didn't work so the only thing keeping anyone out was the safety slid flip thing. Definitely WOULD NOT stay here again and would not recommend to anyone. We were tired from a day of traveling. Next time I will read more reviews before booking while traveling.

I just want to start off & say that this place is a lifesaver. I stay here. Im a 24 Year Old Single BW. My C.S is too low for a APT But My 💵 is too high for A low-inc. APT. While trying to put the pieces of my life back together by building my C.S, this hotel offers a consistent weekly rate. Which is perfect. 🥰 The breakfast is pretty scrumptious. The rooms are always clean. In the morning, I always get woken up by a loud police knock from room service/House Keeping asking me if I need my beddings, sheets, or trash cans changed, or do I need my room vacuumed, swept, & mopped. Hygiene is very up to tier here. They have a laundry room as well. Which is perfect since I stay here. 🥳

My first room smelled like smoke even though they said it was non-smoking, so they moved us to another room. Then the second room was disgustingly dirty... Stains on the walls, floor, shower, paint falling off the walls, the TV was held together with tape, the remote had chew holes in it. I told the front desk that we wanted to cancel our stay and I asked for a refund. I was told I would get a full refund, but then I noticed a week later I still got charged $70. I called and asked about it, and the woman said that they actually cannot give out refunds and that they lied to me. Absolutely terrible customer service. Do not stay here.

This has to be the worst hotel ever. Came to our room and the beds are way smaller then double beds. Only had two towels, no wash rags, hand towels, or floor mat. Don’t use the hand soap because it leaves a film on your hands. The hotel has no more rooms at this moment. However there’s not enough parking. We drove around hotel twice and decided to park in handicap spot. Went to the night clerk and was told to go park somewhere else and walk back to the hotel. Luckily we drove around two more times and someone happened to leave. Because of the overload I currently can’t flush my toilet because I have no water pressure. I can’t currently take a shower if I wanted to. Don’t get a room next to the pool because there’s septic smell. Curtains don’t shut fully. Make sure to check your reservation rate because they charge a $50 fee just in case you go crazy in the room. Was told at check out we would get that back. Wi-Fi is currently down so don’t expect to watch showtime. Only positive is there’s dove shampoo and conditioner to use, which is good because we’re using that to wash our hands. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all!!!!!!

It was very difficult to check in late at night. The teller was very unclear on where our room was and due to language barrier we were unable to gain further details from him. During Continental breakfast my child spilled milk and cereal on the floor. The individual working the front desk was very rude when we ask for assistance on cleaning the cereal. He stated “great this is just how I wanted to end my shift”. I apologized to him multiple times and he would not even acknowledge me at that point. After breakfast prior to departure, I found the QR code at the desk, upon scanning the code, the man seeing what I was doing. He then stood smiling, and said “ Oh don’t even worry about the cereal. It happens all the time. Have a great day! “ He saw what I was doing, knew I was leaving a negative review based on his behavior and tried to amend the situation only at that point. Our stay was on October 10-11.

There was hair in the tub, stains on the sheets. It was 20 degrees outside and the heat was off. There was a huge gap under the door to the outside. A guy stared in my window, then tried to open the door, then knocked and said housekeeping. Very disappointing. No attempt to fix issues, just said it would be better next time. I won't be back. I would have been better off sleeping in the airport.

This hotel is trash! We stayed with our youth baseball team during a large tournament weekend. The tournament was excellent but our stay was miserable. I would expect every family from our team would agree on how nasty and unsafe this place is. The hotel is tricky to get to but that wasn't a problem really. I first heard about it during our first game on Friday evening. We didn't get to town early enough to check in but some did. One of the dad's went to two rooms and there were problems with both (non-working AC and/or cigarette or weed smell). They said the 3rd floor was recently renovated but floors 1 and 2 were bad (motel style). One of mom's was on floor 2 and was looking for a place to go Friday night but couldn't find anything. She felt unsafe there. We had another family on floor 2 that couldn't get their door to latch. We were on the swanky 3rd floor along with most of the other families from the team. It looked like a college dorm without an RA living there. Just a gross hall of busted doors with broken number plates or duct taped laminate. We also could not get our door to latch. We never used the key card as you just had to push our door open. We kept taking our valuables (laptop/Switch) with us back and fourth. We asked if they could fix it but it never got better. The beds were okay. The sheets weren't all bright white but what are you going to do? There were a couple UPC labels stuck to the wall. No idea what those were there for. The toilet had a freaking bushel of dark curly hairs in it when we first got there. Groooosssss! The staff were all nice and normal but holy smokes there are a ton of weird people there. People obviously under the influence of drugs. And I don't mean they smoked some weed. These people were jacked up on something different. Weird stuff. We were all so happy to check out Sunday morning. Everyone was at the park for the games early. Couldn't check out of there fast enough!

Arrival check-in was a mess. Conversation with hotel prior to arrival was not shared and room accommodations were not met. Hotel rooms were poorly cleaned or not cleaned at all. No spoons in the breakfast area. Was told to use a fork for cereal. Pool water was very cloudy and cold. Poor selection on breakfast items.

Samantha was great at the front desk. She was very helpful when I needed a late check out and she help with any billing issues I had. I use this hotel because of their low rates and The location. The rooms do need upgrading And it can be as simple as lap shades and carpet.

Please read. Very important. They charged us 20 dollars extra for a nicer room but when we went in there was holes in the curtains of the window, microwave was falling apart, bed sheets had stains, there was ants everywhere, plus roaches. some lady in office would burst into our room to yell at us even though we told her we would go later in a few hours. (We worked night shift and had barely been sleeping for 2 hours) and she still didn't understand. Yelling at us telling us to get up. We had planned to stay For 3 months but not how these people are. I've slept in motels that are nicer and way way more better in hospitality. This isn't a "Hotel" this place is a joke. A very big one and I feel bad for the people who sleep here and waste their hard earned money. I read the bad reviews and still gave it a chance. But sure was a bad idea. To top it off I haven't finished listing the things that were wrong. And if I stayed longer there would've been more found. This place could be shut down just for the bug infestation they had.

My wife and I stayed at this property last Saturday and experienced a night full of disturbances and little to no sleep. Small groups of people were talking loudly and shouting throughout the night, often mentioning several times that money was owed and yelling out different names to let them into the one room down the hallway. Quite honestly, it sounded like someone was running an illicit business out of this room and we were worried that things were going to escalate at any moment. The shouting was frequent throughout the night up until 5 am. We have no proof of any illegal activity and did not want to call the police nor become involved, but we did describe our concerns to the front desk manager the next morning. We mentioned that this motel really needs a security guard on the premises because it does not feel safe with these constant disturbances throughout the night. I also called to talk with the general manager, Ravi Wadhwa, and was told by their assistant that the general manager was already made aware of my concern. The assistant on the phone was curt and basically dismissed my concern about their being questionable activity. Well, we are still very concerned and believe that a Wyndham district manager should visit this property discreetly themselves and ensure that this is a safe property for Wyndham guests. The Peoria Police Department should consider doing nightly patrols here too. As for us, we will not be staying at this property ever again!

I stayed here last minute on a record high temperature weekend in February. Check in was super easy and the front desk and management staff was very friendly and professional. The Baymont has definitely made some major improvements since the last time I stayed here a few years ago. Don't believe any of the reviews you read about issues or bugs or it being dirty because that absolutely is just NOT TRUE! This place is so much better for a better value than a lot of the other hotels I e stayed at in the past.

Zach and Robin were super helpful and friendly. We were exhausted at the end of a quick but long trip from a funeral and they were both accommodating and helpful. We needed a rollaway bed because my parents got a handicap room and they brought it will friendliness and smiles. It was the 4th of July holiday weekend and they were full and busy but our room was quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was great, hot and they kept it stocked and clean. I would highly recommend them and we will definitely stay again when we pass through

Overwhelming smell of fresh paint have me a head ache. AC/ heater didn't work maintenance had to come fix it. Maintenence was great, front desk was great. Room was not that clean. Checked for bed bugs, none found. Paint was all over the doors and floor. The elevator was sketchy at best. We didn't try breakfast after the dirty room and gross shower.

The building was old and difficult to get to in the dark when we arrived. Disappointed in bathroom vent and water running in the bathtub all night. Breakfast was ok but no syrup for waffles so closed down. Beds were comfortable and carpet was clean.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, breakfast and service was very good. Had a tiny issue with the room and management took care of it no problem. Very happy with my stay. Nice rooms for a good price.

After driving 4 hours it took over an hour to get checked in!! The girl at the front desk kept telling me that the one-time use card (I booked through Expedia) that was given to them to use was not working. After calling Expedia and them confirming that the payment was processed and the front desk worker saying it was not, somehow I finally manage to get in a room, by this time it is around 12am!! I get me and my 10 year old settled in, to go to the bathroom and the toilet does not flush. I called back down to the front desk and made her aware of he situation for her to proceed to tell me that the plunger gets stuck and to take the lid of the tank and jiggle something (I am not a plumber nor should I be fixing your toilet). I then proceed to wash my hands and when I go to turn the water off at the sink it will not shut off!! The room was absolutely disgusting and after saying something to the front desk again I was offered to be moved to another room at around 1am, why would I want to gather all of our things to be moved to another room for them to be in the same condition, and if they weren’t in the same condition why on earth would you put anyone in the room I was put in. At this point I was mortified but not being from the area I was afraid to leave and not have anywhere to stay for the night! I had the room booked for 2 night and checked out after 7 hours! I made a request to get a refund for the second night that I reserved but did NOT stay for due to the conditions of this hotel for them to tell me that they are not going to refund me!!! Save yourself any trouble and do not stay here!! I wish I could post the pictures and videos that I took of the room.

I have deleted two posts, one was a great review the other was not. I deleted the bad review because the manager took care of the problem promptly. This place is a great place to stay, when I check in Zach is working and makes the check in process a lot easier and better. He goes above and beyond. If you ever have a problem with the place the manager is very prompt to take care of the problem and how they can resolve it. All amazing people who work there at the baymont.

Rooms were old and dated. Not very clean. Carpets &\or pads very bumpy and lumpy. Door would not close unless forced. Electrical was a joke and very unsafe. Desk assistant could not even tell us how much the laundry costed. No supplies. Very dirty. Moved us out of our room while we were touristing and lost some of our belongings. Allowed trucks with trailers and semi trucks to take up 10 to 12 parking spaces.

Good: The best part of the stay was the breakfast. They did have a very good breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links, biscuits and gravy, Belgian waffles, fresh fruit (bananas and apples) and some other stuff. The lady who checked us in was also nice. Bad: First off, the place reeked of marijuana. We were on the third floor with all non-smoking rooms, but the smell was very strong. When checking in, the credit card machine wouldn't work. The lady said it hadn't been working for a while and the manager didn't want to fix it. Walking to the room, there were multiple floor boards coming up. If one wasn't paying attention, they could easily trip over them. The first room they gave us, the door wouldn't close. It looked like it had been kicked open at one point. There was black duct tape running around the door handle area. And the panel on the side of the door, where it latched was loose. I asked if we could get another room. The second room was better. The shower leaked, there was no vent in the bathroom. And the toilet didn't flush easily. But overall it was okay. The fire exit door near our room would not open. It looked like it was broken. In the morning, when we were getting our stuff out, one of the employees entered the elevator before letting us out. Not only was she rude, the smell of marijuana was very strong on her. The location of the hotel was difficult to get to. It looks like it's right off the interstate, but it was actually about two miles from it. Checking out was easy. There was a $50 hold they said would fall off. Will have to wait for that though.

The rooms are not bad. They are currently in the process of upgrading all the rooms. The air conditioning had a significant gap—some might say it's fine, but it really isn't. On my second day there, a cricket entered my room and kept me from sleeping. Additionally, the gaps can allow bugs to enter easily. There was a musty smell in the bathroom. In terms of the front desk staff, they all need training in customer service. In terms of management, I love them. I met with the owner and the hotel manager—super friendly people. I addressed these issues with them as well.

It's an older hotel and needs repairs. But aside from that it was very clean and comfortable. Cereal was offered for breakfast, but there was no milk. I had requested a first floor room, near handicap parking. However, were given a third floor room at the far end of a very long hallway.

Got a coupon at Illinois Visitor Center. They were reluctant to take coupon but did. We must have gotten the discount room. You had to turn TV on and off from back, phone in room didn’t work to call front desk, ice machine on floor didn’t work, hair dryer in room didn’t work and bathtub faucet had to be turned off with two hands. Reported to front desk, “I’ll give list to my manager.” No apology, no offer of a workable hairdryer, as I stand there with wet hair. Looks like they are doing some updates, but areas are very rundown and dirty. I’d pass on this one, even with a coupon.

This place is wrongly listed as hotel on some sites. This is more like a cheap motel. If you are looking for a cheap motel, this is good choice. The first room I got, door lock was not locking and phone was not working. Guy in reception was asking if I am not comfortable with broken lock and want new room...duh. breakfast was BAD. Machine was out of juice, only bread, beagle and muffin. Not at all looking forward for being there again.

Long story but I will shorten it. I stayed 1 night in March 2023, I was flying out next day for a week. Lady at desk told me they have a complimentary shuttle to and from airport, I told her I would be gone a week & would I be able to leave my car there she said yes. Days later when I checked in ( different lady at desk ) said no the shuttle is only one way, but they could call an Uber for me that costs around $25. Shuttle doesn't start until 8:00 I needed to be at airport 7:30. My phone quit working, I was having all kinds of problems. She told me she would see what she could do. She asked the shuttle driver if he could come in early to take me to airport next morning. Next morning I had Bkft (which was very good by the way), got my luggage went to check out & shuttle driver was there already. His name is Scott he is the Maintenance Manager. I told him my story on way to airport, he said he would leave a note that I need a shuttle back to hotel when I return. All turned out good. Thank you Scott for all your help and the lady at desk when I checked in. I really appreciate all you did for me.

Good enough for the price we paid. There are no hangers or places to hang clothes in the room. Our tub faucet wouldn’t completely shut off so there was a steady stream running constantly. It didn’t really affect us personally, but what an incredible waste of water. We stayed on the third floor and the “secure” entry was completely broken so the door remained open 24 hours (no key card needed). Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good (scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, biscuits and gravy, waffles, danishes, fruit, OJ and apple juice…24 hour coffee).

Zach is the man!!!! Just arrived after a long day traveling and was greeted by the coolest guy at the front desk said his name was Zach. Promote this guy or something made my whole experience! Been staying for quite a while in this hotel and everything has been great. Robin has been so sweet in the mornings when usually people are uptight 😂 She just lights up the start to the day! Peter is the coolest guy out there super helpful and goes the extra mile for everyone. Just so friendly and real one of the best service employees I’ve come by

Very run down in appearance and upkeep. Peeling paint throughout the building. Peeling floor tiles. One of the exit doors on the 3rd floor would not open from the inside. A clear violation of the fire safety code. I informed the front desk for two days straight and nothing was done about it. My next call is to the Fire Marshall. No place to hang clothes in the room.

I stayed here for 1 day I reserved a disability room because of my health issues standing and walking. The room was infested with ants, so I requested another room the front desk clerk was not showing a bit of empathy better yet she was pretty rude she worked the second shift. Well she did give me another room but stated to me she not going to put me in a disability room she will give me a standard room I asked her please she refused so now I cant bathe because I have no support also I was very inconvenience because of there room having a infestation of ants and I go home and see ants all in my baggage so now i have to get my car detailed and have my bag and clothes outside to get rid of all the ants in and on my personal property I give my experience 0 stars and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BAYMONT IN PEORIA TO ANYONE!!

Place is an absolute dump. Rooms reek of smoke and are dirty. Our room did not have a smoke detector. Our TV did not work. Walls are paper thin. The "security doors" for the hallways do not lock and the handles are just hanging off broken. I don't know who other than crackheads or the motel staff that would give this place any more than 1 star. Oh, and to top it off, they had construction workers doing renovations in a nearby room at 9pm. Because why wouldn't they right? It's not like people come to hotels to sleep or anything.

MOLD in the bathroom toilet. It’s caked on like it’s never been cleaned. The room smelt musty, it was so bad I had to get air fresheners. The bathroom drain was not working properly and the whole plug came out. All of staff is very rude. It was such an inconvenience for me to ask for clean towels. I’ve personally worked as a housekeeper and front desk and would never treat anyone poorly. Management needs to have a talk with their staff about proper etiquette. There are better hotels around.

Great and easy check in. After reading the reviews it looks like we got a newly remodeled room. My biggest complaint would be how hard it was to find, but I’m pretty sure the hotel isn’t responsible for that. Reminder you get what you pay for. Am I expecting the Bellagio? No, I’m looking for a room with a bed so I can sleep. Very comfortably, which I did.

Easy check in with printed info note with key about breakfast times, WiFi password and check out. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. QUIET! Good directions over the phone when making the reservation. Pleasant staff. An older property but clean and tidy.

Checked was good. Walking to the rooms are kinda creepy at night mostly because the cameras are not on the hallways or stairs. The door doesn't lock right. Curtains you could see through. Bed was made but didn't look clean. We stayed for 3 nights. 1st 2 day/ nights paid cash the 3rd afternoon, we put on a debit card and told the front desk not to clean our room. We both left for some shopping and we came back to a completely clean room. As in they took everything we had brought with us out of our room. Front desk gave us a run around saying it got thrown away or was in a locked room up front. Of course we had to wait till the next day to talk to manager that told us that our things were gone. And that we wouldn't be reimbursed.
