Panini with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and homemade fried eggplant. French fries crispy and delicious. Coleslaw and pickle on side. Portion was great. Took half home. Server Linda was excellent. Would go back again.

I absolutely love this place, the food is always great and so is the atmosphere. I have been regularly eating here with a pal of mine and the service has been great even if there's a surplus of customers daily. Prices on the other hand are a bit high, yet the portion size makes up for it. 4.4/5

As a Turkish and Aegean (from Izmir) I can say that the best Sarma (stuffed grape leaves) I have eaten in the US. I got a cold. Just minutes ago, I took out a cup of the chicken soup which was also great. The Lady (I think the owner) is so polite and helpful. I am so glad to find a place like my home.

This might seem like a silly reason to leave a review, but Greek Island makes the absolute BEST well-done onions rings I have ever eaten. We have been ordering delivery from them once a week since COVID lockdown and the quality of food and service has been consistently amazing. The one time my good wasn't up to my expectations, they very quickly made it right. Tonight I had the Reuben with my well-done onion rings and couldn't help but eat the whole dang thing - IT'S THAT GOOD. And I'm always impressed with how well their delivery travels. I can't recommend them highly enough. 😁

A classic Long Island diner. I'm always ordering breakfast, so I can't speak too much on the lunch/dinner entrees, they do have an insane coleslaw I've tried. I've been eating here every week for the past few months, it's scrumptious. Get an omelet, homefries, buttered white toast, and a cup of coffee or tea and live a little!

Fantastic food, especially if you need to eat gluten-free. I love how they serve you out the window still, even though the pandemic is over. Saves you time when you can just park at the curb and run up. I highly recommend their avgolemono soup - delicious! And their Greek salad wraps are massive! Good fries too.

My Reuben sandwich was edible but it did not taste like how a real Reuben should taste like. The fries I got with it were soaked with grease. My family member's hamburger came out well done after asking for medium. The food took a long time to come to our table as well. Not sure if it was just an off night judging by other reviews, but our experience at the Greek Island Diner could have been better.

Great food and service. Last night we tried the steaks- excellent! The prices are very reasonable. Simply a great place to eat.

We had the specialty salads which were so delicious plus I had the BEST GLUTEN FREE mozzarella sticks I ever ate!! The owner Andy escorted us to our table & explained all my gf options. He also told us about how serous they take celiac disease & they make sure they use separate fryers with no cross contamination. Victor, the waiter, reassured me I would be safe from gluten. Kim the cashier was also very friendly as we purchased a few delicious gluten free cookies for the ride home. We will be back soon even though wading river isn’t close to where we live. It’s worth the hike! 👍♥️

They don't take reservations, but they still worked with me to accommodate our large party ahead of time. Such lovely people, and the food was enjoyed by all. It's a step up from a regular diner for sure. Recommended!

They raised their prices AGAIN. This is I think the 5th time in the past 2 years (no joke). I will forever be a slave to their Gyro otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way to order from here anymore since: 1) They are a couple of towns away 2) They don't deliver to me 3) The prices just keep going up and up and up. 2 years ago Gyro's were 7.95. Now they are 11.95. 4) The food varies depending on what you get, hit or miss. BUT the Gyro is perfect, right down the the tzatziki and has my heart. It's the only place I can find as good as the ones in Astoria. They delivered to me during the pandemic and I was elated (I order out at least once or twice a week) but they abruptly stopped. Now I'm forced to order from the only place that delivers to me (pizza/Italian) which is making a killing from my household but I get sick of it. The diner has so much more variety I could order daily and not get tired of it. My fiance is a breakfast person (I am not) while I am a gyro & salad person so it was an awesome option for us. Other good stuff here are the mashed potatoes (the gravy sucks), anything fried (fries, onion rings, chicken tenders), greek salad & grilled chicken. 2 surprise flops were a burger and the spanakopita. Maybe it was a one off but I never tried them again after. Anyway, not sure how much longer I can keep justifying ordering from this place without a car & forcing my fiance to drive there. Not to mention that the food cost is starting to no longer be as good of a deal. Wish they would just up their delivery minimum or charge a fee and expand their radius. The only other place to get a good Greek Gyro out here is Hellenic in East Marion which is almost an hour away! I miss living in NYC.

This is not a five star restaurant with white glove service...which is a good thing. This is a nice local spot with nice local people and pleasant customers. Nothing unassuming. Just very good diner grub, served by people who WANT to serve you. Quality ingredients. Soup was fantastic! On the way out there were two people eating dinner with their dog on a leash at an outdoor table. You know what...good for them! Please support this local business. Great job Greek Island Diner!

For the past few months, I've been taking out and the food was always great aside from the one vegan burger I had a while back. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to dine in with a couple of pals from my work place..and truly, it was a treat for us all. The food was fresh and delicious, but it was a bit too greasy..nevertheless, the service was great and so was the atmosphere. Great spot for locals👍

I'm not typically in this area of Long Island, but I was passing thru the area today and I stopped in for a quick take-out order. I ordered a Greek salad with Chicken Souvlaki (large size). This was hands down, one of the best Greek salads I've ever had. First off, it was enormous and could easily feed two people, secondly the salad was perfect with lettuce, olives, cucumbers, red onion, pepperoncini peppers, stuffed grape leaves and tons of amazing feta cheese. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and there was ALOT of it. The salad included 2 warm rolled pitas, 2 dressings, and 2 Greek yogurt tzatziki's. Portion size was very generous, and coming in at about $25.00, it was well worth it. Amazing job! I'll be back when I am in the area again!

I always have a good time here. It has been my local diner for the past two years or so. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly and will greet you warmly and treat you well. They will also begin to call you by name once they've seen you enough! It is a family-friendly place and there are folks of all generations present anytime I go. In terms of accessibility, there is only one tricky bit: the two doors in series at the entrance. Someone with a mobility problem may have trouble with that, but there is usually an employee by the door to help, with a smile. Otherwise the diner is well designed for mobility, with enough space to move, be seated, and use the restroom if needed. Parking is free outside and is only one mild step down from the restaurant level. Update: On mobility, the diner has a separate door right into the dining area which staff will open if someone has trouble navigating the two doors at the main entrance. So this is taken care of if a patron has a wheelchair or scooter!

Just like some of the Diners in Queens that closed or moved from NY. Good food, friendly small town people. Wading River is a beautiful town, reminds me of Queens in the 80s. Give them a try if you're in town. They are minutes away from Calverton Cemetery.

I had an overall good experience at this diner. Food was great and my server was fast, attentive, and kind. I was ready to pay and the big blonde lady behind the counter was extremely rude and ruined my night. The only reason I would not return is because of her.

I have been patronizing this establishment when my late wife work at little flower agency in the year of 2017. I still go to the dinner and I bring my kids , my grandkids, and my brother to eat there. I never had a bad meal or bad service. Very nice people and atmosphere. Today was not that day. My daughter grandson and I stop to have breakfast after leaving Riverhead , NY on Long Island. Passed by a few other eateries to get to the Greek dinner. Once there we was seated right away and our server came to take our coffee order. I ask for a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat. That when things went down hill, it took another 5 minutes to order food. I was done with my first cup of cofree before that. The second thing was the couple that sat down 5 to 7 minutes after us revived there food before we did. I asked my waiter why our food is taking so long he told me he did not know and said they was busy. Ok , I know they were busy but , how can a couple sit down 5 minutes after you and get there food and I am still waiting several minutes after that. I got up went to the check out and asked to be rung up for the coffee and juice and , told them I been waiting a long time for my food and was not happy. One of the person that was behind the counter said that’s ok we very busy and I can leave if I don’t want to wait. It’s not the fact that I don’t want wait it’s the fact that how u get seated first and serve last and the attitude of the so called owner and his maître d’ suck. I was not looking to be served right away but, in a timely matter. It was busy but, how can you get your food after other people who sat down after you. That was my beef. And they just like take it or leave it. So that is what I did , left it. When down the road to Rocky Point ( Zona) to spend my 63.00 + 12.00 tip on a better establishment. Thanks for the memories. ✌🏾

We came for a Mother's day brunch, we had no wait. My wife loved her bagel and Lox and my challah bread French toast was absolutely delicious. The people at the front door were very friendly and Tim our waiter was very attentive. It a good choice of places to stop.
