First visit, bookings are essential, great playground but lacking a flying fox. The Plum Pork ribs and schnitzel was great, not so much the fish. Service was really quick considering a packed house. I'm not used to ordering from a QR code on my table but worked well. We were under cover with overhead heating. We partied on until kicked out at 4pm. Great day.

Quirky cafe and gift shop. Beautiful grounds and park with playgrounds for children. Plenty of shade. Reasonable menu. Heaps of parking including for people towing caravans. Outdoor seating with misting fans in this hot weather. Very clean toilets. Worth a long break but they do takeaway as well. An under appreciated gem.

Wow what a fantastic place! I was really surprised at the range of food they offer and how generous the portions are too. The price is very reasonable for what you get. The decorations really make this place though with old vehicles displayed in the garden including a small plane. The garden seating is plentiful with about 30 benches and tables. The only issue was the biblical number of flies everywhere. This is a problem all over WA right now though and not a reflection on the cafe. Overall 5/5 carrots from me. An absolute gem of a find and a must stop if you're passing by!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Crooked Carrot located on Forrest Highway, and I must say it was a lovely experience. It's no surprise that the locals recommended this place for lunch. One dish that stood out for me was their grilled Fish & Chips. The fish was fresh and delicious, and the chips were cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and soft interior. It was a delightful combination. I also had the opportunity to try their Pumpkin Soup, and it was a creamy and tasty delight. The flavors were well-balanced, making it a satisfying choice. The prices at The Crooked Carrot are reasonable, and the service is friendly and welcoming. It adds to the overall positive dining experience. What makes this place even more special is its huge and beautiful backyard, complete with a playground and rusty antique cars. It's a great place to relax and enjoy your meal in a charming setting. One thing to note is that the lunch crowd can be quite substantial, so it's advisable to make a reservation beforehand to ensure a smooth dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Crooked Carrot for its great food, beautiful backyard, reasonable prices, and friendly service. It's a wonderful place to visit for a delightful lunch.

Overall: tasty grub and awesome little place as a mid way stop on your way down south. Food: tasty food with pretty decent menu. We ordered some sandwiches and a few fruit juices. A tad more ($45) than what I'd like to pay for 3 sandwiches and 3 juices but it's within expectations. Parents: great place for kids to run around and burn off some energy before hitting the road again. There's awesome nature play areas all around to keep kids of all ages entertained. Toilet is also pretty decent with parent changing rooms.

Every time we drive by from Perth, we make a point to stop in for the kids because we adore this establishment. It's an incredible playground. The meals and beverages that we have consumed have been good.

Awesome place to stop and let the kids burn off some energy. Great food and coffee. They let you know there's a wait time for food orders. Which is so good. Friendly helpful staff.

Great ambience and 5 star service! The staff was kind and courteous and had quickly arranged for seats inside when it became windy and wet outside. The food was 3.5 stars with all the sides and desert dishes really good; the mains though were quite average. The carrot cake was great, the persian cake moist and lush, arancini balls were delish and lemon pepper squid were a thing of history in seconds. I had the Crooked Burger which along with the Chicken Teriyaki burger was decent; the Lamb burger however was just average. The carrot cheese cake was probably a pass. But all in all, we had a great day minus the rains!

Our first visit here today, was a lovely surprise. My little Grandson loved it here, could run to his hearts delight on grassed area. Ordered from the menu, and decided to dine in undercover. But there are options to sit outdoors, covered or uncovered. Great choice of food including Gluten Free, takeaway food's. I ordered grilled snapper, chips and salad. My husband chose a burger and chip's. We were amazed by the serving sizes we received!! I received 2 pieces of Grilled snapper, generous serving of salad and chips. My husbands burger was monstrous, a definite two hander to hold, fenerous serve of chip's. Im not a chip person, but I did enjoy the chip's here. Play area's for all age children, supervision by parent's a must however, as there climbing rope's etc the little one's can come unstuck on. Plenty to see, and enjoy, highly recommend as family friendly.

A lovely Cafe, worth the stop heading down or heading home. Lovely accessible cafe. If your an ACROD user, if you drive a little further down Rigg Rd, you drive around the Cafe to park out front and there is two ACROD parking bays. Lovely little home made gifts out front that was lovely to stroll through. Lots of entertainment for the little ones with lots to see and adventure. Highly recommend! Customer service was awesome.

This place is always busy and now that we've eaten here, we can see why. The food is delicious from a kids cheeseburger to the traditional parmy - fresh and tasty with generous servings. And despite being incredibly busy the staff were cheerful, helpful and nice. Great kid's playground. And they even grow some of their own veggies and herbs and citrus fruit. Awesome.

Best best place n stop over from Perth to Margaret river. If I stay there; I would love to go there everyday because the kids can play at their best playground while the adults chill with food . Fish n chip is good too!

We love visiting The Crooked Carrot as a family outing. The playground is incredible 👏🏼 It's great to be able to set the kids free to explore while you sit back and enjoy a coffee and some lunch. It's honestly one of the most relaxing places to go as a parent. The food is great also! 👍🏼

Really great food… we made a pit stop here for lunch as we were traveling across towns.. ordered the pumpkin soup, buffalo wings, fish and chips.. and they all tasted delicious!!! Food is really authentic and fresh, was super impressed at the soup because I was feeling sick from the cold weather. The place was also wonderfully decorated with old school buses; colourful table tops laid out in the open space, beautiful scenery all around. Highly recommend coming to this place! Forgot to mention that the service staff is uber friendly too :)

Great place to stop for a while to break up a drive. Awesome for our dog and kids. Can be really busy but big enough that you can move away to quieter corners to relax. Food and drink queues can be a bit long sometimes.

A fabulous place to take a break and recharge. We live less than an hour away, so it is nice outdoor spot for a coffee and chat. Let’s face it we are all kids at heart so a little playtime in the playground is great for the soul.

This cafe is a fun stop. It's much bigger than you'd think, with heaps of parking Excellent very large playground for most ages of kids, with farm machinery as well that kids can climb on. Dog friendly. Stacks of seating undercover and outside. It can get busy, but worth the stop

Lovely spot halfway between Margs and Perth make for a great spot...not quick. Huge selection on cakes and other foods as well as drinks. Dog friendly And a great break for active kids. Enjoy a stroll through the garden, relax with a coffee and watch your kids get rid of that energy before finishing your trip. Closes at 4pm Often closed public holidays 4 stars as toilets needs extra attention
