This is the first time I am writing a poor review, however, I feel as though this situation should be addressed. I recently had a profoundly disappointing experience at The Ledges that compelled me to share my thoughts and concerns. The incident involved the property manager, Mike, and his shocking display of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. During my visit as a guest at the pool, Mike approached my friend and me and inquired if we were residents. I calmly explained that we were guests of my partner, who is a resident and was on his way to join us shortly. Instead of addressing the situation with understanding and respect, Mike decided to raise his voice and humiliate me in front of everyone present. He proceeded to berate me loudly, insisting that he had no interest in my partner's arrival time or our explanation. He pointed to a surveillance camera, which he claimed had been monitoring our activities, implying that we were being watched without our partner present. This public humiliation left me in tears and deeply embarrassed. On my way out, I mustered the courage to express my dissatisfaction with Mike's behavior, suggesting that a polite request to leave would have sufficed. To my dismay, he laughed at me and showed no remorse for his actions, suggesting that I take the matter up with his superiors. Interestingly, when my partner arrived and approached Mike to inquire about the situation, the property manager's demeanor and attitude changed dramatically. He suddenly became exceptionally friendly and denied having spoken to me disrespectfully, offering a half-hearted apology if I had misunderstood him. This stark contrast in treatment based on gender was both disheartening and revealing. Witnesses to the incident were equally appalled. Several individuals left the pool area, uncomfortable with the scene, while one resident approached me later to express sincere apologies for what had transpired. It became clear that Mike's behavior was not only disrespectful but also created a hostile environment for everyone present. I am deeply upset by the sexist behavior demonstrated by Mike and his overall mishandling of the situation. It is evident that he lacks respect for women and abuses his authority to intimidate others. This incident has tarnished my perception of The Ledges and calls into question the integrity of the management. I implore the management of The Ledges to investigate this matter thoroughly, take appropriate action against Mike, and implement measures to prevent such incidents from recurring. No one should be subjected to such disrespectful treatment, especially in a place that should foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. Potential visitors should be aware of these events, and I sincerely hope that my review draws attention to the issue, urging the necessary changes to be made.

I am happy to say that I have been living here for almost seven years! The management team deserves immense praise for their exceptional level of cooperation, responsiveness, and dedication to maintaining the complex in the best possible way. From the moment I moved in, they are always approachable, supportive and go above and beyond to address any concerns or inquiries promptly. Their hard work and commitment to keeping the rules are commendable, creating a peaceful and harmonious living environment. The maintenance team at The Ledges is nothing short of amazing! Whenever I've had an issue or a maintenance request, their swift response and efficient service have never failed to impress me. It's evident that they take great pride in their work and go the extra mile to ensure that everything is functioning optimally. Their professionalism and skill have made living here a great experience. What I really appreciate about the management and maintenance teams here is their attention to detail and their commitment to upholding the rules and regulations that ensure a high quality of life for everyone in the community. Without their diligent oversight, I can only imagine the chaos and unpleasantness that would arise with such a large number of apartments and residents. It's clear that they take their responsibilities very seriously, and I'm grateful for their hard work. Whether it's ensuring timely repairs, maintaining the cleanliness of common areas, or addressing concerns promptly, they consistently meet expectations. It's important to understand that things may not always go exactly as you want them to, but it's highly appreciated when the Ledges team listens to the requests well and try to fulfill them. If they cannot do so, it's reassuring when they take the time to explain why and show that they understand the concern. There's always room for improvement, and it's great to see that the management team here is constantly striving to do better. A commitment to improvement is a valuable trait in any business, and it's reassuring to know that they possess it. Thank you for creating such a wonderful community!

Been here 3+ years now and really don't have any reason to move anywhere else in RI. Originally I selected The Ledges for 3 reasons: 1. General recommendations (word of mouth). 2 .Location, location, location - convenient to the highway for when I had to commute to the Boston area for work and close to family members still living in RI. Plus it's centrally located. 3. Eye Appeal - nicely maintained grounds and buildings, no junk cars to be seen, nice clubhouse with an outdoor grill area (nice grills too!). The grounds are kept up in great condition. Timing had it so I ended up with a great apartment but had not yet updated which was mainly cosmetics - kitchen appliances, etc. but that didn't matter because everything was just fine and in great shape. I face away from the highway so no noise and have a great view from the back. The office staff are always cheerful and helpful, maintenance is prompt and they do a great job, they even take care of the little things such as changing the batteries in the smoke detectors and replacing air filters in the heat/a-c system so it continues to run efficiently. Here's an example of how good this team is: the stove's heating elements were getting weak and needed to be replaced so they just brought in a new stove...fixed everything. I have not seen any problems here, people of all ages reside here and have never heard loud music or noisy cars. Sometimes at night a security service monitors the area which is reassuring. All in all, for RI it's a great place because of quality, location, the maintenance team and the office folks. This all adds up to deserving a glowing review!

I have been living here at The Ledges since they first opened some 13 years ago. I am happy with the management as they are often accommodating to the needs of the tenants here. Also, when something breaks it is fixed in a reasonable amount of time. The adding of the doggy park is a plus for many of the tenants. The grounds are always well groomed and when there is a snow storm we are well taken care of between the plows and the crew shoveling the walks on a timely basis. I am happy living here :)

Tara, Randy, and Mike in the leasing office are awesome. They are nothing but nice and helpful with all of our needs and concerns. My roommate and I have been here for about 9 months and have just renewed our lease for another year. We love it here! The amenities are great from the salt water pool, gym, in unit laundry and our patio which every apartment here has. I truly do not think there are any nicer apartment complexes in the state of RI. I would refer anyone I know who is looking to rent to come to the Ledges- as most if not everything you can look for when renting is included here.

My family and I have been living here for 3 years now, due to the housing market being how it is.. however we do love the amenities available, quiet neighbors, not having to shovel or keep up with the landscaping. The staff here, especially Randy has been very helpful through the years and an added bonus is being able to rent out the clubhouse for parties and family events. Thanks for everything you do!

Ledges at Johnston is the best community that we've lived in the United States. I can only keep saying about pros. Absolutely zero cons. 1. The apartments in Ledges are very clean and tidy. The carpet is new and fluffy. The living room, bedrooms, restrooms and kitchen has a very good space. I didn't even find a single bug or insect in my entire stay of almost a year. 2. The community has ample parking space and is well maintained with a lot of trees. It looks so beautiful. 3. Friendly neighbors. 4. The maintenance is the best part at Ledges. Just log a request in their app and the maintenance guy will be there in a couple of hours. I didn't face much issues. One or two minor issues like kitchen sink clogging, bath tub clogging, etc were resolved in a couple of hours. 5. Absolutely very safe. 6. Last but not the least. Randy from the Leasing office is very helpful and he helped me to find an apartment in the Ledges and with the renting formalities. He is quick to respond and is always helpful. We would have never moved out of Ledges. Unfortunately, my work location has changed and it is quite far from Ledges. That is the only reason we're vacating with a heavy heart :( We hope to come back and stay in the Ledges again at some point in the future.

I was a tenant at the Ledges, very recently for a short duration and had a very pleasant and positive experience. The staff, particularly Mike and Randy are genuinely customer focused and go extra length to address all reasonable requests. They don't' throw the rule book at you. The apartment I leased was totally renovated just before I moved in and therefore was really nice. The location is awesome. The neighbors were friendly. Many of them are pet owners, but manage their pets very well. A few things to consider if you are checking out the Ledges, that the management is very aware of : In fall, expect fall leaves to brush your feet as you step out of your door step, on the first floor since there is no security entrance to the building. Also, give the local weather, covered parking option would be a nice optional add on: Today it is not. Overall, will recommend the Ledges, especially Mike and Randy.
