Really like this place. Food is good. Gives me a nice small business vibe, owners and employees serve with a smile —altogether a really nice experience. The ratings Food - 15/20. Pretty epic bagels. Absolutely solid. Salmon tastes fresh and goes well with the bagel Service - 8/10 - Truly superior service with friendly and attentive staff. Really like the vibe that they bring. Ambience - 6/10 - Gives off a bit of a bricky bagel vibe. Plenty of room for seating and great to go in the mornings. Overall score - 29/40 Solid eats, good place. This eatery is a real gem, diamond in the rough, literally and metaphorically. The bagels here are the freshest and best tasting I've ever had. Match a plain bagel with their mounds of wild salmon and plain cream cheese? MAGIC. Very busy, and for good reason... people can't get enough of everything here. They have the best bagels in MA. My favorite is their everything bagel, toasted with butter and cream cheese. But they have huge selection of flavors. I've even been known to have an everything bagel for lunch and a French toast bagel for desert. Their cream cheese is great and they have wonderful bagel sandwiches. Treat yourself!

Talk about top of the line bagels. (I’ve had the famous ✨ St. Viateur Bagels in Montreal and this place was absolutely its equal - if not better because of the sandwich and cream cheese options.) And can I just shout out how fantastic and thorough the service was? 😊 What a great local spot!

Got a simple bagel with cream cheese. They totally forgot about me, left my bagel on the toaster. When I got annoyed (that people coming in ten minutes after me were getting theirs), the old lady at the register was so rude! The quality is decent (7/10) if willing to risk getting terrible service. (As I wrote this, the same thing happened to another woman. So what every 5th person gets forgotten about? ). It’s 11am, not their busiest time either. (It’s a different person on register now)

I was craving a bagel and happened upon back bay bagel. What a selection! They have pumpernickel, one of my favorites with chive cream cheese. Great bagel and great service. Line is very very long but it moves so stay put. Enjoy.

The bagels are great except for the French Toast bagel… it doesn’t have any flavor! Unfortunately, I bought it again hoping that they fixed it. But it still doesn’t have a French toast flavor!

Grew up on Back Bay Bagel. I moved out of Brockton a few years back and have been trying to find a new bagel place that even holds a candle to this place and have had no luck. Huge bagels, homemade cream cheese which is AMAZING, not too expensive, great atmosphere. I have a bagel place about 2 minutes down the road from me now, and I still make the 35 minute drive to back bay when i want bagels.

Love the variety of bagels. The coffee is always fresh. The service people even know my wife's name. So awesome 😎

My Bad: I never did write you guys a review. Outstanding bagels & selection of bagels - my favorites being the “Everything” and the “French Toast.” I tried other varieties as well - they were everything they should have been ... but kept coming back to these two favorites. Highly Recommend

Bagels are amazing! I can't have gluten, but the sourdough bagels are okay for me and taste just like a regular bagel!

I used to enjoy visiting this place, but this morning, I walked in and was appalled by the way the manager at the register treated the employees. Despite a line of people waiting to be served, it seemed like the cooking staff received no guidance from the person at the register who appeared to be the manager. This lack of effective leadership was evident in the room and it caused tension among the employees, which customers like me could clearly sense. I cannot, in good conscience, continue to support a business that mistreats its employees due to such poor leadership.

Wow! If you haven’t tried these bagels you have to stop in and give them a shot. I get a sausage egg and cheese on there blueberry bagel and it is amazing. This bagel shop is like 40 minutes away from my house and me and my son travel to get them.

I challenge you to find a better bagel anywhere... You do... Please let me know where 'cause these are the best!

Best bagel for my money south of Boston! Real flavors not just dustings on the outside. Lots of bagel choices - Jalapeno cheddar is my top favorite. Open REAL early- love it long time.

Hands down best bagels in the greater Boston area. I live near tastys, providence bagel, and bagels and cream. Nothing compares to Backbay! These bagels are huge! Worth every penny! Everything bagel double toasted BLT and American cheese-thank me later! *chef kiss* Ive had every bagel there. All fantastic options! Also want to mention-although Backbay’s decor is outdated, the place is clean as a whistle! My sister worked there in HS and said it’s one of the cleanest restaurants she’s worked in!

It's my favorite bagel place. Every time I visit the area, it is my first stop. Bagels are always fresh and amazing. The team working loves their job. I have never seen any of them in a bad mood. Thanks for the great experience.

Easily the best bagel place south of Boston. Hands down. Quick service, easy parking, quick turn around time in the morning, early AM hours, no frills, excellent bagel selection, freshness is apparent for every bagel - only recommendation would be to improve the iced coffee offering. Hard to find decent bagels outside of NYC. This place is good for New England.

The bagels are pretty good but it’s very dirty inside. Clearly they are not cleaning the floors walls etc. on a regular basis. Also in my experience, the staff doesn’t really know how to greet customers and take orders. They just look at me and don’t really say anything. So, ultimately I think the staff needs more training oh and cleanliness needs to be addressed. One final note, they are very pricey. A bagel with turkey and cheese and a bag of chips, no drink cost about $12

This place has the first banana nut bagel I've seen since I was a kid! Their bagels are consistently delicious and are accompanied by a choice of cream cheeses. I'll always be happy to eat here.
