Don’t fall for the hype, save your money and go somewhere else! I decided to give Flour Child one more chance and they blew it, again! I ordered 4 pecan rolls (cost me $14) and they are burnt on the bottom and hard as rock on top! I can’t even use a fork to eat one of these! Either these have been made wrong (obviously since the bottoms are burnt) and/or they are old and stale as well. I’ve been here many times and have tried a variety of items on their menu; the coffee is watery, some of the gluten free items are gross and not at all like what they suppose to be, the cookies are average at best, and don’t even consider ordering hot chocolate. Even though it’s powdered hot chocolate mix they can’t be bothered to make that right either, mine was basically water. The only good things I’ve had here is the pumpkin pie cookie and their bagels are usually good. Definitely not the best bagels but if you are going to get anything here get a bagel. The atmosphere is cute and their decor is nice as well. Personally, it’s not worth the price and the quality is not there or hit-and-miss at best. 2/10, would not recommend!

Stopped in to satisfy a sweet tooth and walked out with the best jalapeño cheddar bagel with lox we've ever had. I mean it, literally the best. Better than the NYC bagel we had that one time that we've never been able to stop talking about. OK, Flour Child, you just changed our story. Cutest bakery, and I'm dying to try it all. The cinnamon sugar croissant and cake bites were freaking delicious, but.... that lox bagel, though....

We got some bagels and croissants. The shop was cute, products looked delicious and people working there were kind and patient. I tried the peanut butter cup croissant and it was good. Then I had the butter herb pretzel bomb. It was unfortunately doughy inside. I went back inside and asked about it. It was not that they were not kind or receptive, but maybe because of the non-assertive way I asked, the young lady kindly told me they put cream cheese and that was the reason. Well, I examined more and it is not. I am not sure if this was a one time thing for their pretzel bomb or it is how they do it, but trying to eat it is not a pleasant experience. Also, I think they should be more responsive next time when someone brings a similar concern.

Stopped in here for a coffee, and I appreciate that they had multiple blends to choose from. Though the coffee was luke warm. I did not try any of the pastries, but they looked great! I did have a piece of my buddy's croissant and it was nice and flaky as a croissant should be.

I had been looking forward to eating here for a while, so it was fortunate that an event brought me down the street from the restaurant. They supposedly have the best bagels around. If you get there at 1:30, just 30 minutes before closing time, you're not going to get to try them. We missed out. What we didn't miss out on were the lunch options. My kids had the Old Fashioned Grilled Cheese and the Back in the Day PB&J. No complaints, which is a massive compliment from them. I had the Grilled Italian. (Pictured. Well, half of it.) It was so good. If I had to change anything about it, I'd say it needs more pesto. This isn't saying they're not applying enough. It's just that my default for any condiment is just a bit more than what anyone ever gives. When I go back, I'll ask for extra. I'm sure they can accommodate. Each sandwich was served with a pickle spear and plain chips. It's a bakery, and we weren't going to leave without sweets to take back home. Mine was the peanut butter cookie sandwich. I was expecting hard cookies sandwiching the peanut butter. To my delightful surprise, they were softer, nearly falling apart cookies. I like my cookies on the softer, more gooey side. This cookie sandwich was perfect for me. Everyone else liked whatever they got, I'm sure. I wasn't paying much attention because I was so focused on enjoying my dessert.

Very good "grownup" grilled cheese sandwich and cream of tomato soup. Bagel with cream cheese and lox was tasty and nicely presented but kinda skimpy on the main attractions, especially the cream cheese. Super friendly staff and convivial atmosphere.

Delicious local bakery with top level baked goods. Be sure to go on Thursday for their Lemon goodies. The lemon sandwich cookies are what dreams are made of 🤌

I can’t believe I slept on this place for so long. I already can’t wait to go back. The adult grilled cheese was absolutely perfect. The bread was toasted to perfection & the flavours were incredible.

Arrived 25 minutes before close and ordered pretzel sandwiches and truffles. I was told that because it was so close to closing time that my order would be to go with no option to eat inside. Disappointed but the pretzel sandwich made up for it. Truffles were too sweet for me.

So delicious! Every single time I am in Grand Ledge I must stop here. The everything bagels are so good. But the pecan rolls are to die for! They are very civic and raise money for local and global causes. It smells so good in there!

I absolutely love Flour Child Bakery. They always have such a wide selection of sweets and treats and their breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Today was my first visit since they expanded. I love the addition of booths and more tables for people to sit and enjoy their food. My breakfast sandwich today was a bacon, egg, and cheese on one of their homemade everything bagels.

This was my first time in. Definitely lived up to the expectations. We went for lunch. I had one of their sandwiches. It came in a nice little box with chips, and a pickle. I can't wait to go back and try their other delicious looking confections.

My only critical feedback is how slow they can be. There should be a way to improve on the efficiency of preparing orders. Food is always great. The people are always friendly. The decor is adorable.
