Wow, just beautiful. 100% worth the walks. We only managed 2 of the 4 waterfalls. But if we had longer we would of done all 4. You can swim in them if you like very cold water.

Absolutely stunning. Nature at it's most beautiful. Some of the walks and access to the Four Falls are definitely hard going though. A pretty high level of fitness required to visit all four of them. It's worth the effort!

It’s a really great national park , and there are lots of things to do there . We stayed for two days to see most of the nice places. The Liwyn on Reservoir is awesome. If you drive forward along the road , there are many beautiful spots where you can pull over ( parking is available ) and enjoy the view.

Nice national park in South Wales. Some easy climb peaks and waterfalls to visit and lots of camping and hiking options. Bit of history here too with Neolithic sites, ruins of castles and remains of old mining industry.

A really great national park! I have to admit that I underestimated it before. We are in the area for a few days on a GB tour and wanted to do a day trip. Now in hindsight, it would have been better if we had spent a few days in the park. Besides the great landscape and the countless sheep, there is so incredibly much to discover that you can hardly decide. Besides hiking tours, there are also several providers for action or horseback riding excursions, you can ride an old steam locomotive, go kayaking, etc. Whatever your heart desires! I can by no means list everything there is to do. I would definitely call it an outdoor paradise.

Absolutely stunning and only 4 hours drive from London. People are so kind and friendly and the surroundings as you can see are pretty breath taking. Great holiday for dogs as long as they get on with sheep, because there are A LOT of sheep, everywhere. Also be careful with the squirrels. They're not very street wise and tend to run in a straight line in front of your car. I followed one up the road for about 5 minutes before he realised he'd be better off running to the side into a Bush.

Very nice hiking trip with waterfalls. Minimum of 3-4 hours hiking if you want to see all the waterfalls. It's not easy hiking. On the scale of 10 a very strong 6 if no 7 point. Be aware it's not just an easy walk in the park ! But worth every single minute 🀠

I spend a lot of time in different parts of the Beacons. Sometimes on my bike, hiking, alone and with my family. One of our favourite hikes is near the old Neaudd Reservoir. It's nice and flat for our youngest and the owls Grove trail is short enough for him to tackle. You will be surrounded by beautiful views whichever part of the national park you decide to visit.

Amazing!! There are hikes for every level. We did the waterfall hike and were so impressed with the natural beauty. It is very dog and family friendly and the pubs around are so delicious for a dinner after a hike well done. I would recommend the waterfall hike as you can even walk behind the waterfall at one point, but there are many for all tastes.

Breathtaking and beautiful. There's no wonder why the Brecon Beacons National Park has visitors all year. At busy times it is difficult to park, but if you can park and enjoy this wonderful place, you will not be disappointed. Food and drink vans a plenty and portaloos in the main car park

If you're driving towards brecon beacon from Cardiff, these are the sceneries you won't miss. It's even more beautiful when it's below 0Β° as the snow covering the hills looks amazingly beautiful. The small roads, broad wide view of the sky is something that may be gone in the near future. So it's really worth taking a day trip from west of England towards Wales.

Amazing place with great views. There are two ways to access the top. One is quite tough, and the other one is not that steep. Anyway, it's worth visiting, but it can be a bit busy up there. We have also seen some wild birds, and there are sheep running freely.

We hiked the Circle Route on All Trails. Bannau Brycheiniog was Stunning, Views for miles around. Glorious sunny day, nice breeze on the summits. 2nd day with Baby Rucksack fully packed, no tricky obstacles on this route. Very manageable, slow & steady 8hr hike.

Could loose so many hours being mesmerised by such natural beauty 😍 will be making sure I return.make sure you take a pair of waterproof high boots if you like to be able to walk in rivers etc πŸ˜‰ also worth packing some swim wear and towel as there are many spots to take a dip especially on a sunny day.

I never explored with an offline map in my life. This place is totally amazing. They gave us an offline map and we explored the places around with that. We can walk, take care, or climb the hills to see places.

Absolutely beautiful place to be, climbed Pen-y-fan with 3 friends on the heat wave weekend. It was sweltering but stunning. Great achievement and beautiful views.

A magical countryside of green and auburn, with rolling hilltops, caves, lakes and waterfalls. Fabulous for walks and hikes and leaving the big city behind. My biggest regret is for not having discovered the beacons sooner.

Spent a day and night here whilst travelling around Wales, several carparks located around the national park. We stayed over night in 1 which was 487m above sea level, amazing views but late August it was chilly come the morning

Beautiful scenery and views. This is now one of my favourite places. It's so peaceful and beautiful. You can really see how much Land in Wales has and how much of it is actually untouched. Make sure you prepare for the day with packing food and water and what ever you may need as back up, we got lost but just kept on driving and ended down some very crooked and narrow lanes with very steep hills. So make sure your car is suitable for these conditions before you leave, otherwise you could get stuck with bad weather.. very easy to find on sat nav. You can park your car/caravan at the top of the mountain for the whole day at the cost of Β£5.00 by a pay machine it takes cash and card

Absolutely wonderful place to visit, but be warned it can get very busy in summer months. You can easily climb pen y fan from the berney arms activity center. Would definitely recommend for any begginer hikers

9 mile circular walk around Pen Y fan! Great views on clear day and moderate to hard climbing at times.

Beautiful trekking option. So close to Cardiff yet completely unspoilt. The walk can be classified as easy. Going close to waterfalls involves steps and some walking on the rocks. Ample car park spaces. Carry enough food and water. For us with all the breaks and foto sessions we completed the trekk in 5 hours.

Incredibly stunning national park with so many fantastic views. Even if you don't stop anywhere but just drive through it you will have fantastic views. Throw on some traditional Welsh music and it's the perfect experience.

Sugar Loaf Mountain has stunning views of the surrounding scenery. Walk enjoyable and not too taxing for most able bodied. National Trust car park best start spot so car can get you half way up!

Absolutely beautiful. We camped at brecon wild camping site. Β£5 a night and no need to book. Climbed Pen y fan and visited the waterfalls. Fun for all the family. Can't wait to visit again

Great walk up Pen Y Fan and around the horseshoe valley walk today with my dogbfor company. Trails are cool, parking easy, and food dnd drink were available in the car park after. Oh and the weather was lush!!

Fantastic scenery and masonry. Discarded treasures surely too good to leave to rot? This is at the base of the horseshoe walk around Pen y Fan…a lovely place to walk and cycle. Highly recommended

Views up on views! How beautiful! From hills / mountains to flat land. Streams, Forrest’s, rivers and a Reservoir. We drove through a lot of the area this weekend and although it was a bit rainy and misty it was still so gorgeous. There was so much beauty in every spot. And so many sheep too that just strut their stuff in front of your cars so be careful. Over all gorgeous, felt so lovely to be there.

My absolute favourite place in South Wales! Plenty of routes to hike, beautiful views, stunning rock formations, lots of wildlife! Always a pleasure to explore!

Fabulous but challenging walk around the Horseshoe. 14 mile circular walk taking in 5 summits. Weather kept good. Nice to see all the car parks free of charge and unlike yesterday's Waterfalls walk, no rubbish left on the trails.

Greenman festival was great. Camping site was packed. Music was great. Food stalls were long. Buses don't come very often so it's better if ur in a group or find others at the train station.

Love the Black Mountains. Second time visiting. Even though wet, cloudy and misty, some great views, atmospheric scenery and again enjoyable walks. Love it.

just done a walk for charity up to pen y fan with 26 other people. looked pretty daunting looking from the road and it .. ..WAS .we took the middle route and it was tough going but we all managed too make up to the top and back down .our ages ranged from 6 to 60 ,the sun was out and it was hot but with plenty of fluids in you you should be ok

A place of stunning beauty. There are so many hiking trails that it’s hard to choose only one πŸ˜„ We did the one called Sugar Loaf and Usk Valley circular trail and we enjoyed it a lot. It’s challenging enough, but not too much. The views from the top of the mountain are mesmerising, and would’ve been even more so if it had been sunny, but hey, at least it wasn’t raining, so we can’t complain. There are lots of cute sheep on the way, sometimes right on the path you’re walking πŸ‘
