Dropped in for lunch. This lovely restaurant has rustic charm with local redgum EVERYWHERE. Huge open plan deck nestled amongst native bushland, alongside the mighty Murray River. The meal was something you would expect from Lygon Street, but at a country price. Generous servings cooked to perfection and the coffee was divine.

Lovely, pretty setting on the river. Recommend outdoor seating in the shade, happy not many flies. Attended at lunch time on a Saturday and made a booking; glad we did, it was quite busy by the time we left. Food was very tasty and good prices to match, healthy sized servings. Note table service is for food only, but i prefer going to the bar for drinks anyway in most cases; so this suits me. The staff were friendly too, so we will definitely be back again!

What a fantastic little place, it’s a must a wonderful family run business. Set around river beautiful place for a wedding or any occasion you want we just had a social club party there and it was amazing.

Awsome place next to the Murray River . Great food and good service. Do yourself a favour and make sure you book. Sunday had a singer on the deck . He was great, not overly loud . Over all a great day.

Excellent venue. We thoroughly enjoyed the wedding we attended there. Staff were incredible. We also had breakfast there the next morning.

We took a large group to Timbercutters, the food was amazing, fast friendly and professional service, mum’s chicken was delicious- actually all of the food was! The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend.

The food was excellent. I had the brisket burger and my partner had a lamb salad. Food was cooked quickly and well (very tasty). I saw the pizzas being served which looked absolutely stunning. The service was next level- these people bent over backwards to seat us even though the restaurant was really full. And once it started raining, they moved us out of the outdoor area, and under cover. Come here for lunch or dinner- you won’t be disappointed !

Picturesque position on the river, great views. Staff are always friendly & efficient. Food is fabulous with a good choice available, also a great cake cabinet. Beautiful red gum bar inside and open fire for the cooler days. Large outdoor deck with plenty of shade on hot days. Sometimes they have music on the deck too which is pleasant to listen to whilst dining & drinking. Definitely worth the visit but book as usually booked out !! We go often as love it 🥰

Absolutely love it out here. Peaceful environment and an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant right next to the beautiful Murray River surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. The food & choice of drinks is brilliant (nice local wines) and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

We had the absolute pleasure of having our wedding at the Timbercutter, September 2023. What a fantastic place! The location itself is just gorgeous. All our guests asked us, "How did you find this place?!" I think we were very fortunate! Kalli and her team were sensational in making our day special. I have never seen such passion and professionalism. Furthermore, the food was outstanding. We had brunch the morning after our wedding at it was just as delicious. Great coffee too! If you are considering a wedding at the Timbercutter, do not hesitate to contact Kalli. You will not regret it! The Timbercutter is the perfect destination wedding without the ridiculous price tag. What a beautiful setting to start the New Year. Had a lovely platter and wine luncheon sitting out on the deck. The staff and service was amazing. Can't wait to get up there again.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at The Timbercutter, on 2 April 2022. Kalli and the team helped put together an absolute magical day that we will never forget. There were compliments all around from the beauty and serenity of the venue, to the kindness of all of the staff and the delicious food! Walked in with no booking but they still looked after us. We had very yummy pizzas and great coffee. We will be coming back

To start this place is in a great bush setting right by the river. Just an amazing place to sit and relax. The staff are friendly and the service is really good. This is all backed up by some really great food with some great flavours and good portions. The menu has something for everyone. They did sell out of a couple of things the day we were there but I don't mind that, we were booked in for a later lunch and it means they are busy which is great. We will be going back. Thanks for a great Sunday afternoon.

What a hidden gem this is! beautifully set on the bank of the Murray river within its natural surrounds the timbercutter cafe offers its guests not only a tranquil setting but sensational food, great coffee, super friendly service and an ambience that I have not experienced elsewhere before. You feel welcome here, there is a rustic history the minute you walk in the door. Thank you for your hospitality today we will definitely be back 😊

We were there for the Rich River hot rod cruise very nice place food was excellent the staff are very friendly the beers cold what else could you ask for worth the visit
