The Restaurant is very clean and signifies the care taken, to produce Excellent Polish Cuisine meals. The pricing is very reasonable. Don't need to drive to Hamtramck for a Very Good Polish meal. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The Polish ethnic decor adds a nice 👍 touch to the restaurant! Great 👍 parking lots of it! 😁😋😁! We just ate supper there last night 8-27-22. The Restaurant is Very Clean and has many Polish Items to view and a mannequin dressed in Polish attire! We ordered the Polish Combination Plate which includes (2) Polish Glomke’s, (2) Pierogies, mashed potatoes, beets, sauerkraut, and creamy dill cucumbers! The meal was Very G👁👁D! Our server was Even Better than the F🥘 🥘D, Kaity was So Helpful and Friendly it Really Made for a Wonderful Dining Experience! Great 😊 Job Kaity !

Nice atmosphere, small family Polish establishment. Food quality itself was very good, where this restaurant fell flat was the service, right from seating ourselves it was very clear that the establishment was way understaffed to handle the table quantities we initially waited about ten minutes for our drink orders. When the waitress, an older woman I assume of Polish heritage clearly left us feeling rushed and seemed annoyed with my questions as it was not a common food culture we partake in. The value is there but I feel there is a lot of room to improve with this particular restuarant.

I can't believe I've lived in Wyandotte my whole life and never been here. My boyfriend and I had a nice little date here. Tried the duck soup which was a first for me. Everything was exceptional. Cucumber salad, cheese pierogi, honey wine, kulski. It was such a treat. The decor is adorable, traditional. Clean. The best part hands down. Was our server Katie. She is the best server I've ever had. Just a ray of sunshine.

You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. They work very hard to provide top notch service, while still being a very fun place to eat. My family celebrates together often there and they are always happy to accommodate us. So much so, their family is a part of our family's tradition. Singing happy birthday with us in English and Polish is always amazing there. Besides all of that... The food is always fresh, delicious, and in abundance! Starting with the bread, amazing entrées and perfect desserts!! IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS I WOULD!

I absolutely love this place. When my grandparents come to visit from Pennsylvania, we always come to eat here. There is the sweetest woman who works hard every day and told us a lot of stories. Prices are not bad at all, and it just feels so comfy and cozy to be there. Food is amazing and delicious!

Service left a little to be desired and they were not even terribly busy for a Saturday night. I was a little disappointed in my dinner choice, potato pancakes, as they were a bit oily, thick, and lacked the texture that a properly heated skillet / griddle or hot butter / oil would leave. It came without soup or other side which most other dinners do come with. I added a side of Weiner Schnitzel which was a good choice and delicious. Many of my friends enjoyed their combination plates and desserts and I was the only person without a to go box of leftovers.

The building is cute and cozy with friendly staff. Our server was so sweet and let us try the different polish wines (I recommend the honey wine!) and czernina. The food is great too. Soups were good and the mains/sides were better than the famous Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck. The potato pancakes were crispy. Will be coming again.

The only bad thing I can say about Polonus is that I waited this long to try it. The food is fresh, tasty, and authentic. Our waitress was friendly, fast, and attentive. Check out the menu online before going to save some time, and bring an empty belly! A bit heavy with oil on the fried potato pancakes but I guess that's expected. I tried only fried pierogi but they offer boiled as well. Highly recommended.

First time here but will be back again. Our server was stellar, the vibes, decoration and music were great. The quality of the food is nice with sizable portions and very hearty. I tried their dill pickle soup which our server said was a signature gave of theirs....really enjoyable soup. I also got the Schnitzel, green beans, perogies and sweet cabbage. It felt nice to be in a place that checks all the right boxes and does so in a way that feels authentic and delicious.

Loved this place! My husband and I just moved to Wyandotte and found this place. Wait staff are super friendly and patience with your questions. Our waitress gave us suggestions and let us try the duck soup since we were curious, definitely wasnt to our taste but we appreciated it. Food was absolutely delicious. Definitely try the pierogies! French fries were awesome too. I can't wait to come back.

The potato cheese periogis were fried golden brown and the filling was delicious. The kielbasa was standard. I felt like the sauerkraut lacked flavor. My better half's combination dinner had pierogi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and a meatball. He said it was decent. You get a good portion of food for the money. Our waitress was all alone, and we were patient. She was good considering she was the only person hostessing, taking and delivering orders to tables and running the takeout counter. She didn't break a sweat, so that was impressive. All in all, it was a decent dinner.

My first visit and I was happy with my meal. The food was tradional Polish fare and very good. The inlet negative was that the food was not hot. The decor had an old time feeling and could use some updating. Overall though, a good meal at a good price

Some of the best Polish Food downriver. The food is fresh and flavor - and the schnitzel is made to order. My husband and I rented out the backroom for our baby-shower, last year. The staff/owners were wonderful to work with. They provided amazing service as well as specialty made dishes (for those of our party with dietary restrictions). A very happy surprise was trying their delicious desert menu. Beautifully plated cakes and tarts. The chocolate moose cake is to die for. They only have it occasionally but when they do have it on the menu it absolutely worth trying.

The food is homemade, fresh and simply delicious! I really enjoyed my dinner and they make you feel like your home! I've visited this restaurant for the past 20 years and the quality has never changed. Excellent!

The server was lively and friendly and helpful but not overly chatty. The building had wonderful polish astetics it made me feel very welcome. The food was very good and the servicing size was perfect. They didn't get to try the drinks, but they looked amazing.

A fine establishment with delicious food. We had our rehearsal dinner here, they took amazing care of our party of 15 like we were family. I thank them for allowing us to bring our own dessert. I highly recommend them!

I used to go to this restaurant years ago and the food was very good, but my recent visit was very disappointing. They are suppose to be known for their dill pickle soup and it was watery, week and for some reason sweet, nothing like the old dill pickle soup they used to have. I also ordered crepes, which were off color, thick like a pancake, with no resemblance to a crepe at all! Be careful when ordering they have a little tag on the menu that states that you have to add $2 to each item. Go elsewhere if you want real Polish food.

YUMMY is all I can say!! The food was so good and fresh! And the staff, second to none!! We had our son's 21st birthday dinner there (his choice, he went with a friend and loved it), there were 27 of us and we had great-friendly service!

Kaity, Yolanda and Matt. THANK YOU! Hosting my father's 94th birthday in December and his funeral luncheon 6 months later - all I can say is we felt your love both in your services, your care and your food. Always delicious. Our family thanks you so much. We will always have Polonus be our go to place and you will get our recommendations always. We are all Wyandotte and we are united with businesses like yours. It is always perfection. Thank you for your love for Al. He adored all of you. We do, too. Respectfully, The Albert Wojtala Family from Down River Scrap Iron and Metal Company. You're the best! Stopped in for the first time in months . Overall I was extremely happy with my service to the food! The server was very accommodating , along with being patient with me with bringing two kids under 2 in ! This is extremely hard to do at restaurants now a days without people giving dirty looks. She offered them coloring pages , and even had their food delivered cut up which helped hugely . I didn’t have time to take pictures, but that alone meant so much to me. Will definitely be back !

Our family has been coming to Polonus for years, and it's no question why: great Polish food for a great price made and served with care. Kaity was our server and she is amazing! We've used the banquet room many times and it's always been perfect for our needs.

We are from Poland so we know what good Polish food is. Now we live in California and in the Christmas break we spent two weeks of vacation traveling between Chicago and Toronto, In this time we tried 3 different Polish restaurants and multiple Polish grocery stores since availability of Polish cuisine on East Coast is much better than on west Coast and we really enjoyed it :) Sadly this restaurant was the worst - the food was fine in terms of freshness etc but the taste was really far from real home cooked food we found in others restaurants. Very flat chicken soup, too thick potatoes pancakes, not great pierogi with meat. Crepe with fruit filling was good and Weiner schnitzel was really good. Overall we probably don't recommend.

Polonus is amazing. Every single thing I've had on the menu is stellar and Katie is the friendliest server I've ever met. This place is a regular stop for me, whether I want pierogi, crepes, meatballs, or anything Polish. I love this restaurant
