    This is an interesting place that is is lush and green in contrast to the lanscape of the lowlands. It was part of the San Cristobal Highlands tour we booked with Galapagos a la Carte. The views would have been better on a clearer day, I'm sure.

    some of the best times in the Galapgos as a tourist was to walk around this area.. LAGUNA EL JUNCO ... I WILL BE BACK

    Nice little 10 min walk up to the lagoon. Unfortunately the day we went was doggy so we didn't see much. Still a beautiful place to visit!

    You can walk up about 10 minutes from the El Junco parking lot. I went there by public bus which runs on sundays. It took about 20 minutes from the Mercado to El Junco parking place. The weather was totally different when I got there. It was foggy that I could not see the lake clearly. But It was good to enjoy the mood.
