What makes for a great stay is Experience. And this place has loads! Starting with the owners Francisco and Maria Elena who make sure everything is perfect and who provide for a "home" experience as you get to know and interact with other guests. Followed by well appointed cabins with air conditioning and flawless internet. They are cultivating what in time will be a great botanical garden, also an experience in itself. Great food, great service, nice rooms, fantastic hosts, and peaceful surroundings. All the ingredients needed for a very pleasant stay!

"My wife and I recently stayed at The River House for a weekend getaway. The lodge was absolutely beautiful, and it was located in a perfect spot. It was close to everything we wanted to do, but it was also quiet and peaceful. The host was so friendly and helpful, and he made sure we had everything we needed. The host provided us with a welcome basket with snacks and drinks. The lodge was clean and well-maintained, fully furnished and equipped with everything we needed. The luxury bed was amazing and so comfortable. The lodge was located in a forest, with trees all around. There was a beautiful creek running through the forest. There were many hiking trails in the area. The views of the mountains were breathtaking. We were able to see many different types of birds. The river was so refreshing. I was very impressed with the breakfast. The lodge offered a wide variety of healthy and delicious options, including exotic fruits, eggs, and chia empanadas. The food was all fresh and prepared to order, and the service was excellent. The lodge also had a great selection of coffee, and I enjoyed sitting in the dining room while watching the sunrise over the mountains. I had a great experience with the breakfast at the lodge, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a healthy and delicious start to their day. Overall, we had a wonderful experience staying at The River House. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Puerto Quito."

This is definitely the best five star hotel in Puerto Quito. The finest in luxury living with all the amenities you need. From the moment you walk in you are treated like a VIP guest. The staff is very friendly and explains every aspect of this amazing place. Also the rooms are well appointed, with luxury products in the bathroom. The finest most comfortable beds you can lay in. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully appointed, and give off a very luxurious vibe.

Luxury in paradise! We loved Riverhouse, the rooms were so comfortable and the hospitality was wonderful! Thanks to Frank and family for showing us around, we also saw some great birds in the garden, Little Cuckoo and a few beautiful Tanagers, especially the Golden Hooded!

I had a trip and I needed to rest.I found The River House with google maps. I selected the Serendipity Cabin. Extremely surprised. This suite delighted me with the space and amenities. Also the room was very nice and clean at a good location, great for me traveling with my pets. The breakfast is another level, super organic and I had mangosteen for breakfast! First time ever! Thanks to all the staff and the owner. Super recommended.

This place is so peaceful. The room was comfortable, the view on the forest was amazing and Frank & his family were really kind. We really enjoyed our stay here !

We had an unforgettable experience in the middle of the jungle, in a very peaceful and charming place. The atmosphere was immersed in a serene nature, and the only sound accompanying us was the melodic song of birds. Our host was extremely welcoming, ensuring we felt at home in their wonderful cabins. These were well-maintained and filled with all the necessary comforts, providing us with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our adventure. Moreover, the surrounding views were incredible, and the jungle trek was truly spectacular. I will definitely return to this magical place!

Francisco, the host was great. He was very kind. Great mattresses, great coffee and great food. Rooms are neat and very clean. We really enjoyed during our stay. Everything was great.

I loved the interior design, The Owner hit the nail on the head and totally read my mind about what I wanted for my staying. We walked around with our pet during hours. Frank has all the amenities for a good conversation with wine. The bar is shiny place with high end accessories. Thanks!
