Very clean and neat place. Has parking for a car or a couple of motorcycles. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They can easily give you a lot of recommendations about your visit both in Quito and in Ecuador. As the owners originally German, you may find every bit of detailed information written somewhere. I plan to pass through Quito one more time. I am definitely staying here once more.

If you’ve stayed in a hostel you should have certain expectations, this hostel exceeds what is typical. The beds fantastic, not a squeak to be heard or a spring to be felt. The orientation of the hostel is very unique with small staircases running everywhere to private little areas shared by only a few rooms creating a private experience for you to make what you’d like of it. For breakfast just put in your order the night before and it appears in the morning warm and delicious. Claus, one of the owners, made an effort to be available every morning to give us tips and ideas of places to see, he helped is book tours in the jungle hikes to volcanoes. All in all the hostel really speaks to the traveler who wants it all. I could go on but really this is a place you should experience for yourself. 5stars all day.

Really like this place stayed a total of four nights here, the owners are usually around and are very friendly. The staff gave good recommendations about what to do and see. The bed was I little on the harder side but I didn't mind this.

Fab hostel. Very comfortable beds and ALWAYS hot showers. Fantastic owners too who take care of your every need. Ample kitchen, livingroom space and terraces too.

Clean rooms and bathrooms at a very reasonable price. Good breakfast (not included in price). Only downside is rooms get quite a bit of street noise so bring ear plugs.

This is a nice place in downtown Quito, however in a quiet neighborhood. Be prepared for hearing german speaking there. Most of the guests seem to be German, Austrian or Swiss. Breakfast is not included, but is served for a good price. Would go back again.

Good bed (although a bit short), friendly staff, cold room and a bit noisy outside. Nice (selfbaked?) bread for breakfast. Not expensive.

Very tidy, well run and hospitable guesthouse in great location, offering easy access to both historic and new Quito.

I stayed four nights with a group two years ago. Claus and the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was fine: comfortable beds, opening windows, and hot showers. Common areas were inviting; there is a guest kitchen and a laundry drying area. One can buy fruits and vegetables across the street and get one’s clothes washed three blocks away. On a bus route and a short walk to the tourist districts.

Great hotel. Rooms clean and big enough. Really nice owner and recepction staff. really nice design inside the building. Free wifi. It is 20-25 min walk from Plaza Grande. In the area of Casa Helbling many good restaurants and bars. Would recommend to other travelers -and will stay again!

I would have given only 3 stars if it weren't for the absolutely charming receptionist. It is a place of basic commodities and by local standards severely overpriced. The place is decorated with some original artwork, but for me that does not justify the price. Location is near the infamous plaza foche, where you can find anything at night.
