I gave it a 5-star: perfect snorkeling site for sea turtles, sea lions, and many kinds of fish. The sea lions family is taking the control of this place, and the alpha male is busy patrolling the area, better watch out!

Probably one of the best snorkeling experiences in the world. Be careful, volcanic rocks are very sharp. Sea lions and marine iguanas are waiting for your camera.

Out of experience was planning to avoid this beach as I figured given it is so close to to town it would be very busy and probably not much wildlife, but I forgot I was in the Galapagos! Amazing beach , great snorkeling, awesome and beautiful hike!

Excellent snorkeling experience!! We saw so many sea turtles and so many colorful fish. Sea lions are everywhere as well. We had our own snorkeling gear but it is possible to rent wetsuits in town. We were here in October and the water was quite cold. I was happy to be warm in my wetsuit. There are no bathrooms and only a couple of small benches to sit on. A few pegs for gear, too. The water and sea life are the stars here!

Really nice sandy beach, not crowded, and packed with sea lions. It's a great place for snorkeling, because we saw plenty of sea turtles.

Take a taxi ($10 round trip) and spend the day here. Beautiful beach filled with sea lions and marine iguanas. Snorkeling was also amazing.

This place looks really good and fun to hang out at. Also, there’s a nice viewpoint ~30 minutes of walk from there. However, the water is rocky and it’s hard to snorkel here.

Yet another sea lion hangout. More people than at other beaches, I think because the tours find here, but you can take a trail further along the coast and have some nice views and wildlife to yourself.

Best free snorkel spot we had in Galapagos

Good walk in along a paved road. Can catch a cab to main entrance. Ask for price before you get in. Not much shade in the area. Lots of sea lions and a slightly rugged trail that leads to the point off the beach. Go early in the morning or later in afternoon during summer. Sun gets really hot mid day

2$ taxi ride from town. Schedule the return trip or wait for another taxi to do a drop-off. Nice walk. Hot and sunny. Wildlife and very little shade

A very cool place just about 20 minutes away from town by foot. This was a great start to our trip to encounter wildlife. We were able to swim with some sea lions as well as turtles. It was a very memorable time at this beach and a must do when you come to this island.

Sheltered area for a bit of snorkeling to see fish and a few sea lions around. Beautiful white sand and surroundings. A little walk in from road. I also walked from town which was a bit hot and not very pretty shoulda probably just caught a taxi or it would be a nice bike ride.

Amazing snorkling experience, my kids especially loved the sea lions swimming up for a close up

Nice spot to swim, quite small area though. Not really suited for snorkeling. Cute sea lions around.

Beautiful place. I would recommend taking a walk to the cliffs. Make sure you have good shoes.
