This is a fairly new museum in the old city center and is also a school for pasillo. It offers the complete history of pasillo music and it’s evolution throughout time. There are several original instruments and memorabilia. You can take a picture with the most famous pasillo singers, as they have their life-size statues in the museum. There are some interactive parts and even a karaoke at the end of the tour. Events with live music are held almost every Saturday, so be sure to inform yourself if you wish to attend. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Historical museum with an excellent collection of national ecuadorian music "Pasillo" that comes from vals mixed with local precolonial music. There are interactive activities like a dancing video game or listening selected music. Every saturday we can enjoy a singing show, it is free but tickets are given on thursdays and fridays. We can found souvenirs to purchase too.

New museum loaded with interactive exhibits and well developed content. It has quickly become a key cultural resource in the city centre, and the music school on the top floor is absolutely free of charge, including use of instruments. The public can support by donating funds or instruments for the school's use.

They require reservations, not possible same day and this is not informed anywhere. Skip.

Really cute, free hidden gem. I don't think many people go here, but the tour guide did a great job of helping me learn about this important piece of Ecuadorean culture.
