A wonderful place in Centro Histórico! The food is delicious, the atmosphere unique, very elegant. The views are amazing. The inner garden is so beautiful. Very recommended!

This is such a beautiful hotel. The terrace/bar is a great option even if you aren’t a guest at the hotel. Cocktails are priced as expected but are well worth every penny. There are exclusive drinks that you will only find there. The food is delicious and the portion size is good. I tried the ham and cheese plate and were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely truffle honey on the side. I also tried the bolones but unfortunate I finished those before I even thought about snapping a picture. Definitely recommend stopping here for an amazing drink before you call it a day.

Absolutely loved my experience! Ordered the Smoked Old Fashioned, Shrimp Ceviche, Pistachio-crusted lamb, and the Choco banana Brownie. Service was superb, presentation was great, quality was excellent. Highly recommend coming to this restaurant!!

Probably the best rooftop terrace bar to watch the sunset in Quito (also covered and heated for the colder nights). Terrace menu is just snacks, so don’t expect to eat a full meal. Extensive cocktail and drink menu isn’t the cheapest, but it’s a relais and chateaux property so what’d you expect.

This fall we celebrated my father's 90th birthday with his wife and 7 children from the US at Casa Gangotena which was an incredible experience. From the cocktails prior on the roof top terrace to the tasting menu dinner...all phenomenal! Chef Jose' Tamayo is superb, the best!

Fine cuisine dinning in Quito, Ecuador 🇪🇨 in a very elegant environment. Seats are highly sought after and reservations are recommended just about anytime, but a manager saw the agony in my soul and she arranged a table for me. God, bless her with more compassion and wisdom. The table attendant made great strive to explain the menu and the different options for a great experience. I decided on few things like the ceviche, the 4 hours slow cooked pork topped with some sauce, all things were fun to the palette. Highly recommend this place for an experience of a perfect metissage of modernity and tradition.

We came here for both the roof top and lunch . The roof top has great views of San Francisco square and our waiter was very friendly, but It was hard to find him to order something new. We even walked around looking for him. Lunch we had in the solarium downstairs on the first floor. When they brought stuff out they came in full force with everyone, but getting a drink takes a long time as well. We ordered the Pork and Octopus. Pork was a little over cooked, but the octopus was great. The star was the lamb dish. Everything on the plate complimented each other, with the truffles, mushrooms and gnocchi.

Service and atmosphere are great. This place is great for having a drink and enjoying the ambience and view. Food quality, however is very mediocre. Was expecting much more. Somos is a much better choice if you're looking for high end dining. Recommended for drinks, not at all for the food.

We stopped by in the afternoon for some tapas/drinks on the rooftop and we loved it so much we decided to come back for the tasting menu, which turned out to be an absolute failure. Not sure what all those raving reviews about, but the only dish that was full of flavor was a potato soup with truffles (substitute for seasonal crab dish). Steak was too hard, chicken was just meh, apps were not memorable at all. We had much better meals at haciendas near Cotopaxi for just a tiny fraction of what we paid for one of these tasting menus. If you decide to check it out, go for the tapas and the view. In my opinion the dinner wasn’t worth it at all. Additionally, the server asked for tips at the end of the meal, even though gratuity was already included in the bill. Quite disappointing to be honest. 😏

Food was exquisite. I think they need to replace the steak with filet minion or New York strip or even a ribeye..a better cut of meat. I was not impress with the steak they had for steak option. The flavor was there but it was a bit tough on medium rare. The emapandas were amazing!! Great variety and perfectly cooked. They didn’t feel heavy afterwards. The chocolate dessert was delicious, not too sweet. Service was top notched!! So friendly and very attentive. I would add a different menu for lunch! We wanted to eat a more lighter lunch than the dinner menu. This restaurant is too good to not have variety for lunch.

Great service but while some dishes were great, many were just OK.

Fancy and delicious. If you want to taste authentic gourmet Ecuadorian food this is the place. Price/Quality ratio is perfect (Worth it), also great service. If you are visiting Quito is a MUST.

Tasty food at the center of the old city. They are giving out large discounts possibly owing to the pandemic. Book in advance.
