Indianostrum Theatre is a theatre company located at Pondicherry. The 11 year old theatre company was founded by Koumarane Valavane along with few actors who were ready to pursue theatre sincerely. My friend had watched a play "Chandalas" when it was showcased in Pune by Indianostrum Theatre. She was very keen in visiting the place if she ever visits Pondicherry. And that we visited Pondi recently, I and she went to see the theatre to get a feel of that brick and mortar existence. What a feeling! Got to hear the narration of the play from the Manager- Preeti, herself! We saw the props used, the motive behind those. It was all goosebumps to feel with every sentence uttered. Love the theatre minus the buzz. Awesome place to pass your time. They perform very interesting play. Actors and the play team members are really talented. Price is also affordable. They charge 200 rupees per head but worth of it. Very good experience.

If you're going to Puducherry, you HAVE TO WATCH them (they usually have weekend shows). Without any autotune or electronic help, this troupe takes you on a one hour surreal trip with divine music and breathtaking dialogue delivery. They have their own musical setup, might two guys to handle it all. They do not even charge any substantive sum for this. What may have been atleast INR 800-900 in mumbai, these guys have donor passes for INR 200 and INR 490 (that too optional). Whenever you are planning a trip to pondy, please please visit them. They need your encouragement and you need to watch them once in your life. My friend who was a local also saw them for the first time and was actually stunned.

Definitely Recommended👍🏻 A must visit destination, if you are an art, culture and theatre lover. The theatre troupe is extremely talented. Do walk by to find out the schedules of shows. You will surely come across the show flyers at various famous cafes in town. The shows are generally during the evenings of around 90 mins and are nominally priced at INR 200-500. Thanks Indianostrum (and Yidaki) for adding that musical tune of culture and art to my unforgettable trip

Serene experience. Once in a lifetime opportunity. The artists are good, especially the two who played the music in the background and had a huge impact on the act & the one at the end made the act wholesome and left a thought in your brain.

This is a small theater located in white town, backed side of SBI bank. I watched one performance based on Kalari, it cost me 200Rs. Per person.

One of the best performing theatres in India. Some amazing work has been produced by them.

A lovely, talented, down to earth bunch of youngsters. I wish them the very best.

PROS: * Polite and extremely welcoming people (Mr.Dharani and others) who make you very comfortable on entering. * The building looks amazing and has a rich history. * The hospitality of the management is amazing. I still couldn't forget the taste of the Herbal tea they provided while waiting for the show. * The theatre has amazing acoustics that amplifiers weren't needed. The airflow was great that fans or AC weren't needed as well. *The lightings were amazing. In other words perfect. The light operator, Mr.David was best at his work. CONS: * The only con I could find was the mosquitoes in the theatre. IN TOTAL, INDIANOSTRUM IS A PLACE THAT RECOGNIZES TALENTS AND BRING IT TO PEOPLE. THEY MAKE SURE YOU FEEL GOOD THROUGHOUT YOUR PRESENCE IN INDIANOSTRUM. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO MAKE PLANS TO INDIANOSTRUM. Thankyou INDIANOSTRUM for the amazing experience.
