A small but well stocked supermarket inside Auroville. I did not spot a sign with the name of the store. They have pantry staples such as various grains and lentils including some brown in Auroville. Spice packets are available - didn’t see organic spices. Nuts and oils, pet needs, a few kitchen and dining items, cleaning and washing soaps, creams and hair oils as well as as a few Himalayan herbal medicines are available. Additionally, they have organic chicken and eggs, smoked fish, cheese and tofu. When I visited, the freezers all looked like they were without power - there was a power outage. If they don’t have backup power to keep the freezers going that is concerning. Fresh produce is available and everything looked fresh and clean. Bakery products from Auroville cafe are available. A few earrings and leather bags, decorative dolls were also on display. Staff is helpful and knows their stock. This can easily be your one stop shop.

Expensive even by Western standards - and there are no labels on most food items or receipts given. Baked goods are stale and “health” foods made here in Auroville taste terrible and spoil quick. Sadly it’s the only food store in this area; avoid both this and the neighbourhood at all costs.

Best and only place to shop inside Auroville. You would get almost everything!

Many items are available there but cost is very high. They accept all kind of payment. Shop is closed at 5 PM. You need to remove shoes before entering into the shop. Nearby open parking is available.

Organic dish washing liquid is good in quality.Could anyone suggest convenient motorable road to this Shop from visitors centre?bcos it's very difficult to ride thru muddy,zig-zag road from secret garden side.
