I have performed at, facilitated workshops at and have also just come to dance at La Rumba and have always enjoyed myself. Parking is all side street but oddly I never have trouble finding a spot. The layout is so expansive, whether you're here to dance or be a gossip hen or a wallflower, there's a room for you. The comfiest, most plush seating scattered in every room. Very spacious. Ample, clean bathrooms. And major plus is it's community building atmosphere. You can feel it in the energy of the space for sure.

We went here for a salsa class on a Thursday night and can say we weren't disappointed. For complete beginners and professional teachers we were able to grasp the hang of a small salsa dance. A lot of fun even though we were very sceptical at first on what to expect. I recommend for anyone thinking of giving it a go. Go with a partner or friends and I'm sure you'll have a blast. It has been announced that they will begin opening as a club next week. I never went to the club nights pre covid so am unable to comment on that. Take a look at the pictures to see what to expect.

I would highly recommend the Thursday night salsa class at 8:00 with Rafa. After the hands on class the real party starts. Amazing people, great energy and good times. Supportive environment for people of all different skill levels. We are beginners and it was a very welcoming environment. A big Thank You to our instructor Rafa - great job!! We will be back soon!

This spot felt like ny/nj. Some of the best casual dancers I’ve ever met, the music was perfect, the vibe was great, the drinks were strong and cheap. I loved it!

I had a great time! Came here on a whim while on a date and will definitely be back. The drinks kept going and the dancing was just insane. Everybody in every age group were just having the time of their lives and that included me. Even met some awesome chill ladies out on the patio while getting a little fresh air. There is about a 15 dollar/person cover charge, totally worth it, and they charge 2 dollars for water. Not gonna lie, I felt weird being around so many people after the last three years but it felt good to do it again. Of course, I'll probably know what it's like to have a cold again as well :-) I saw another review that said two months ago, from this posting, a security guard pulled a gun on a patron?! That's nuts but I always give reviews based on my own experience, not others, so...4 stars. If I get a gun pulled on me by any of the staff next time I go, I will adjust the review score.

This is one of the go to Dance places when we visit Denver every month, Friday is more broad mix including lots of Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and a little Reggaeton but it was great Ladies were free!! Saturday seems more Salsa, Bachata focused. We always dance a ton even though we go without partners, and this summer we are loveing the new fans it makes such a difference! Sunday is only Salsa and Bachata, but the dance crowd is more flashy and clique. We did happen to get to dance in a Rueda when we went Memorial Day and 4th of July, but not this past weekend. I had never seen Rueda danced in Denver till this summer, unlike in our Miami clubs, so that was so much fun! Can't wait till next visit, this helps with my fix when I am traveling!

Based on recommendations I went to check out this place. Dj wouldn’t stop playing cumbia and reggaeton. I didn’t get to dance a single song because I never got to hear a salsa while I was there. Left after 40 minutes. I even went with a friend. 20$ wasted.

My boyfriend and I went here for our first time for Bachata lessons on Monday nights. If you’re wanting serious lessons then this class is great but if you’re wanting a fun date night, then this probably isn’t for you. We just wanted to enjoy ourselves and our time together and for the hour we were there, probably danced with each other less than 10 minutes as they have you switch partners. Kind of wish we snuck off to the corner to dance together. Even some of the guys were called out for their poor performance which is when we realized it was just a little too strict for our liking, especially on a beginner night.

The Salsa lessons are a joke and the instructor Raphael I think his name was is terrible. He doesn’t teach Traditional Salsa that you just want to go out one night and look good on the dance floor. If I was auditioning for Dancing with the Stars then maybe I would like his style of Salsa. The cover charge was not worth the experience plus they had no air conditioning and the high was in the 90’s that. I am better off learning traditional Salsa on You Tube.

I had a great time tonight, until I walked up to the bar and asked if they could fill my water bottle before I ordered an Uber. I was thirsty. The bartender said that I was not allowed to have a water bottle in the bar. I put it in my purse and walked outside. The Uber took longer then expected so I walked inside because it was cold. The bouncer did not let me back inside because the bartender told him to 86 me because of my water bottle. It is pretty sad to get kicked out of this place over a water bottle. I would have returned in the future, but now it is questionable due to that bartender. As a bartender in the past, you should want your customers to be hydrated and also it is stupid to kick someone out over something so dumb as a water bottle.

The ‘beginner’ salsa lesson is a money grab, nothing more than an added tax on the cover to get in. The male dance instructor royally sucked tonight; mumbled into the mic, didn’t do a remotely decent job in explaining the basics, acted like he didn’t care. He just blazed through the lesson, wanted to get his free drink on & plug his weekly dance lesson biz. That said the music was good by the DJ. But if you’re a true beginner tho, avoid showing up here unless you like sitting around watching everyone else dance. Frustrating - this coming from a beginner. So label your lessons accordingly & hire a better dance instructor!

This place was fun! Here is what could make it better... More space. There were so many people on that dance floor that it was hard to move. I got stepped on by other dancers who were taking big steps a few times. My second thought is instead of playing 5 of the same type of dance songs in a row, mix it up a little more. The group lessons were good and covered a lot in an hour!

great to dance, but would not recommend due to the bathroom attendant. You can go to literally any other club in Denver to get a better experience. Went on a Friday night, and I've never been to a club with such a rude attendant. She was annoyed every time anyone came in and the most unpleasant to anyone who asked her about anything about the things she offered to everyone. incredibly unpleasant experience due to this. Really ruined the experience to have someone who was so rude for no reason at all and was so to everyone who came in. I've been to several clubs before, and never have I had this kind of experience so I would highly recommend the club switch this person out. I've had amazing experience where I've had attendants help me out with stuck zippers or making my night with kind compliments, but this attendant was incredibly rude to me and my friend who wasn't feeling her best this night. A little bit of kindness goes a long way for girls out for a night, and this really gave us a bad vibe that hasn't been present in any other club in Denver. I'd recommend any other club nearby because of this. There was also a lot more men than women which made it for a less than comfortable night out.

Let me tell you, I absolutely love living right next to this place. Hearing their blasting music with the doors wide open all night is exactly how I love to spend my weekends. Not to mention the mounds of trash littering our streets after the weekend that their clientele leaves everywhere.

They are the best because they do not play Mexican music. There are many places in Denver to hear and dance Mexican music but NOT many to hear and dance salsa, merengue and bachata.

This was a horrible experience. The guy at the door threatened to have us thrown in jail because we questioned the baseball cap policy. Many others were wearing 1920’s style baseball caps and other hats. The policy is questionable at best. However the guy at the door insulted all in our party. He was rude and without any concern for justification. The threats to have us jailed were ridiculous. We are a Latin group and felt discriminated against in a Latin establishment. This guy needs to be fired. If I could give less the one star I would. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. IS AN INSULT TO THE LATIN CULTURE.

We tried the free salsa lesson before thr floor was open to everyone. Nice atmosphere, good bartenders, uplifting music. The instructor was not the best, but it was a free lesson anyway.

A safe place for ladies, solo or with friends. Yay! New to denver and like to dance? This is an incredible place to make new friends! The drinks are awesome, owners and staff are super nice. Big vibes, amazing community. 😊
