    This scenic sitting area at the end of the mall provides a great place for resting, and for a scenic view of the Lake and Bethesda fountain. There is a bathroom (although antequated) available, and on the day I was there, a musician using the space under the balcony enhance the sound of her voice.

    I’m big on nature and meditation. This place is relaxing! Go early, before the crowd gets there. If you don’t mind the crowds it is a great place to people watch! I am amazed that this kind of place is located in NYC.
