The fried chicken is out of this world. Best fried chicken Iโ€™ve ever had. They are very large pieces. So moist. The sweet potato side dish also had delicious flavors. Will definitely be back!

The crispy chicken sandwich was great. The fries were a highlight โ€” very well seasoned and the sesame oil aioli was excellent. Fun to see into the kitchen as well. Only about 10 counter seats available fyi! Updating my review as they now have additional seating inside!

Finally got to try Abang Yoli! A fellow Real Estate Advisor and I went for lunch and had a hard time choosing as the menu was all mouth watering. We shared the Korean Fried Chicken and Cauliflower after ordering from the counter. We were both very satisfied with the punchy flavors and portions. The patio was a welcome break in the sun after a morning in the office. The staff were all friendly and attentive. I will be back soon to try their other dishes!!

Visiting from San Francisco. I donโ€™t usually leave reviews because I rarely think restaurants live up to the reviews and I donโ€™t want to knock down someoneโ€™s livelihood. However we were really pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of this restaurant. Chicken was juicy and tender and flavors were fantastic. And weโ€™ve had some phenomenal fried chicken sandos and Korean fried chicken in our time. Only small nits - wish they had white rice (only jasmine), chicken was a bit salty and the sauce flavors werenโ€™t quite as good as the chicken (tho salty). Regardless of the nits if Michelin came to Minneapolis I think theyโ€™re worthy of at least a bib gourmand.

One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in the entire city. And huge, too. The fries are also delicious, and the sesame sauce they're served with is out of this world.

I had a chance to visit Abang Yoli on Nicollet a couple of months ago and the food was absolutely incredible. We had the Korean style boneless chicken (shown in the photo) and the cauliflower, and I'd have a hard time choosing a favorite between the two. The chicken had a fantastic crunch and was tender/juicy on the inside. The spicy gochujang sauce is a must if you like heat, and I think I tasted a hint of sesame oil. The kimchi slaw added a nice punch of umami and acidity -- I could have eaten an entire bowl. As you can see from the photo, the portions are generous and the plating is beautiful. Although I ordered the fried chicken, I'm excited to try the chargrilled free-range chicken next time to compare. They also have a kabocha squash and vegan laksa on the menu now, which is perfect because my wife doesn't eat a lot of meat. Overall, I'm thrilled to have this option in our neighborhood and I highly recommend it. The Korean chicken was honestly one of the best bites of food I had in recent memory!

if you want a fried chicken sandwich there really is no other logical choice. one of the best ones i have had in the cities. i also appreciate the chicken sandwich comes with a couple sauces, all of which pair well mixed together. certainly will be going back next time a fried chicken craving strikes.

Abang Yoli has the crispiest, juiciest most flavorful fried chicken of any place I have tried in the Twin Cities. Alone or on the burger, it comes with two sauce options (both are fantastic) and I wouldn't skimp on the fries either. Topped with cilantro, jalapeรฑo and scallions, they are perfectly crisp and salty. The Asian Mayo complement them nicely as well. The bao buns and ssam dishes are also delicious and everything is well priced. I go to the Nicollet location beside Five Watt. The service is fantastic.

Incredible food! I had the chicken sandwich and kimchi slaw, both were great! There wasn't a ton of room to sit (just a bar along the wall and window) but it was a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

I came here the second time since it's only a block away from me. The chicken was perfectly cooked , I took bite of it, and it was very juicy, no grease at all. They have a couple of sauces in small containers I'm not sure what they're called, but it was also fantastic. It's definitely worth the price.

This place is fantastic. The chicken is nothing short of amazing. It's good on its own (which my picky eater still enjoyed), but the sauces take it to another level. Just the right amount of heat and so much flavor. Same for the fries - picky eaters can around the jalapenos, but the dish as a whole is great. This is an easy recommendation for lunch or dinner.

Got the fried chicken with fries and char siu bao. It was really good, the chicken breading is deliciously seasoned and the meat was tender and juicy. I also tried the gochujang sauce with the chicken and the combination was great. I highly recommend this establishment. Fair prices! Healthy portions served.
