👍👍 I love this place. If you want to fish, hike trails, or take a scenic drive, this is the place to go. Beautiful rivers and lakes offer premium fishing. This is generally a safe place where you can take your children, but as with all public parks, you run the risk of finding some undesirables. People often mention fishing, area,

Great public access for fishing and hunting was a beautiful day to take the fly rod out. Unfortunately for me slow day for fishing but the water levels have returned to a level where you can get out on the river. Wish there were more days in the year ro wade the river and fish for sure!

Atterbury Fish and Wildlife Area is a gorgeous corner of Indiana! From its abundance of native flora to the winding waters of Sugar Creek to the woodlands teeming with indigenous fauna, find yourself enjoying little pockets of seemingly untouched Myaamia lands. 10/10, would hike again.

Nice place for a quick fishing trip. It does get alot of pressure. But I usually catch something.

Nice area for a hike or fishing. Remember to check in first because the area may be closed for hunting and fishing only. Abundant wild flowers in the area right now. There is a port a potty at the Pisgah Lake parking area just in case you needed to know that.

Google maps directions sends you to the back side of the building so know you need to take the next road east from where the directions send you. I don't mind the new permit requirements, but I do think the instructions need to be clearer with drop boxes at the locations where permits are necessary.

Pretty river. Road needs some attention for potholes. Make sure to continue to the bridge for a great view.

Great experience at the DNR pheasant put and take hunt this year. Nice areas to hunt. Would recommend if Atterbury can update their online maps on the DNR site to better show the put and take areas. Other FWA’s seem to have this info more readily available ahead of time. That said, we had a great time at Atterbury and will be back.

An interesting place. Some beautiful plants and waterways. There was a healthy population of indigo buntings there which is always a delight to see. The area is mostly for fishing, water activities and hunting, not many trails for hiking. However walking around the ponds and wetlands was nice. There were many killdeer and the fishers appeared to be having luck. I didn’t come across any cleared paths or paved trails so not very mobility accessible. Otherwise it seems like a delightful fishing spot or place to visit in the fall to paint.

This area has many spots for picnics, fishing, and enjoying the day. Went to purchase a launch permit for boat and I was in/out in 5 minutes or less. Very friendly staff.

Public hunting with massive amounts of people and activity. Put and take pheasants is fun.
