Very knowledgable tour guide, you really feel his care for the crocodiles and the river. Sustainable tourism too because of their solar-powered boat, and their not aggravating the crocodiles for the tourists’ benefit. Their shop was a bit hard to find when we went because the address was wrong on Google, but I see now that they’ve updated it. Definitely recommend when travelling to Cairns/Port Douglas!

Went out on a morning cruise with David and Dougie the dog. Was absolutely brilliant! Saw 4 adult crocs and a bunch of little ones too - David is a great guide with lots of info and a lovely chill energy. Boat is also the perfect size and a silent smooth ride 🐊💚

If you want to see incredible Aussie wildlife up close, do this tour! We saw so many crocs of all sizes/ages from baby reptiles to 70 yo ca 5m beasts!! The guide is entertaining & one of the most informative I've met, he really understands this unique environment. The solar-powered boat makes sure we visit without a footprint. An exceptional experience on the #daintree River with stunning vistas of rainforest & exotic birds and fish 🥰😍💥👌🐊🐊🐸🦜🦎🐟🐡🦈🐠🐊🐊🐊🌴

This is a 1 hour croc spotting cruise on the Daintree River that is absolutely worth doing. Mark, our guide was not only knowledgeable and great at spotting crocs of differing ages and sizes, but he was entertaining and easy to listen to, he clearly has a passion for his work. He also found us trees snakes that's we'd never have found otherwise (see photo) and birds of interest. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Very enjoyable boat ride observing the beautiful wildlife of Daintree River. Our guide Karl was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and had a sharp eye: he even managed to spot a python resting on a branch, hidden, from 20m+ away! We saw 3 adult crocodiles and 3 juvenile crocs. We also saw many birds, incl. egrets and kingfishers. The boat is not very big which allows a more intimate tour. It is very suitable for young kids and adults alike. Overall, it was a great tour and I would gladly do it again! EDIT: Yes, my guide's name was Marc. Sorry I wrote the wrong name. I definitely went with the Solar Whisper!

Brilliant - worth every cent! Saw three adult crocs, loads of small crocs (under 2 years old), pythons, tree snakes, loads of kingfishers plus so many other types of birds. David, the guide, was so knowledgeable and added the awesome Aussie humour.

We had a great time on this cruise with our big family group of 11 which had young kids. Along with the tour guide we also had the cutest doggy guide, Pepper who kept the kids entertained and quiet while we listened to the tour guide. Very informative and passionate about what they do. Very engaging and would definitely book again for longer next time. We got to see 2 grown males, 1 grown female and 2 babies from. 2020 batch along with some beautiful birds. Thanks for having us!

the guide, David, was sensational, his voice was like ASMR and he it was the perfect combination of funny and knowledgeable. Unbelievable vision too.. We learnt a lot and now have huge respect for the crocs!!!! Loved hearing the croc drama - heavily invested in weather Nic will in fact be the new boss?? 10/10!!

Great trip on the Solar Whisper. Guide was very knowledgeable and managed our expectations well from the start. Thankfully we were lucky enough to see saltwater crocs on our trip. Something I'd never seen before! Well worth it.

Amazing tour, We came across one of the biggest cros there in the rainy day, when the pm last tour in 2022. Beautiful scenery, it is similar to the movie about exploring the Amazon rainforest. Never forget the experience. The solar ship is superior in silent operating, and the size is good at closing to the bank watching the animals, compared with other big ships. Highly recommended 👍👍👍 Tour guide David is excellent and we are absolutely satisfied with his service and organising.

Marc took us out on the morning of the 15th of April, and it was a trip that yielded plenty of bird and crocodile sightings. Marc was a terrific guide; very informative and quite witty, and his passion for wildlife was obvious. I highly recommend this cruise.

The BEST Daintree Experience you can do. The fact that electric boats are used makes this tour so much better than the other. With the small boats and no engine noises you can get so much closer to all the wildlife without disturbing them. We went in the summer when it is much harder to find the crocs because the don't need to come out of the water to warm up in the sun, but it was still worth every penny. Regardless of the cross it is a great way to see the Rainforest. But David was still able to find a 3m females hiding in the mangrove and four one year old baby crocs. David is such a great guide. He deeply cares about the environment and the crocs are like family to him. Also recommend checking out his Instagram he's got amazing footage there. If you can book the 2h tour, especially when your into wildofe photography

Had a great time on this tour. Tour guide did a great job pointing out wildlife and it was a nice small uncrowded boat. The crocs were cool but I was super excited to see a Azure Kingfisher. Just wish the tour was longer!

Awesome experience, hooning down the Daintree River in itself is enjoyable..seeing crocs living their best lives only adds to the experience. Hosts are friendly and chatty, will be back to do this again. Highly recommended.

We really appreciated this one hour tour. We had the chance to discover many species as crocodiles but also snakes and frogs. We can tell that the guide really know a lot about these crocodiles and this place ! I highly recommend this tour even more because it’s an electric boat which make no noise and you are really close to the wildlife without ever being in any kind of danger. Thank you !

This is hands down THE best wildlife cruise my husband and I have been on. Marc assured us of our safety as they dont feed the crocs on the boat and immediately warded off any concerns. His love and knowledge about the Daintree wildlife is evident and remarkable. We enjoyed his insightful stories and he able to show us Scarface, Dusty and Lizzie. His incredible skills, helped us spot 2 white -lipped tree frogs, few birds and a tree snake out of the dense forest, which we would have definitely missed out on. It was so wonderful to see all the beautiful birds, fishes and other creatures in their natural habitat. Would love to do this Daintree wildlife cruise once more. We highly recommend this cruise as a must-do when in Cairns! Thank you Marc!

Really good tour, we went around 3pm and saw one big crocodile. We bought our tickets in person when we arrived. Tour guide also pointed out frogs and baby crocs. My partner caught a baramundi off the boat jetty. Too small so we let it go!

I had a really awesome experience with them. Our guide was very engaging and is clearly very passionate about the wildlife. He told us lots of really interesting stories (and cracked a a lot of great jokes!) about not only the animals but also the rainforest and the entire area. I learned a lot. We saw "Scarface", the biggest crocodile in the area! Overall great views, great guide, great experience.

We loved our 1 hour cruise with Solar Whispers. The guide was very knowledgeable, and great at telling you about what you were seeing. We saw three crocs, and a decent amount of time was spent viewing each one. The cruise was really relaxing and the scenery was stunning. We also saw a tree snake and a few different birds were pointed out. Definitely recommend these guys - an absolute highlight from our holiday.

This was a terrific experience. Our captain, David, was very knowledgeable and, knowing I like birdspotting, took extra care to look out for them. He gave us plenty of interesting info about the various croc personalities and we saw quite a few plus snakes and white-lipped treefrog. Added bonus was first mate Douggie the labradoodle

Solar Whisper Crocodile & wildlife cruise was nice introduction to the Daintree river and the habitat to which crocodiles naturally roam and live. The cruise was on a small electric boat which made for a comfortable journey along the river. It does sit lower into the water and is relatively quiet. The tour we went on was for 60 mins which followed the banks of the main river and venturing into the smaller estuaries. We saw 4 crocodiles during our time and were able to get up close with the electric boat. Our guide was informative and warm. This is not a tour where the crocodiles are fed and made to leap from the water for a crowd. It’s an opportunity to see them living in the wild. I would recommend applying insect repellent. Once you move into the mangroves the mosquitos are waiting for you.

This boat trip was up there with one of the best experiences of my life. Unlike a lot of people, I know nature can be difficult and you're not guaranteed to anything. Therefore, anything is a bonus. So I went with the high hopes but also accepted that I may not see anything. With a second trip offered free of charge if you don't see anything, what's there to worry about? Well, what a trip it was. Bats, snakes, an eagle and crocs! Not to mention plenty of birds, frogs etc. Because there was a white bellied eagle flying about, on the hunt, the bats were on edge and flying about. It was incredible to see. To top it all off, we had a brilliant tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and clearly cared about the animals and the environment. It's a trip i would do over and over again. Thank you!

Was so fabulous to see the crocs with Solar Whisper. I’ve been following the social media accounts for a while and the tour exceeded my expectations, I got to see the big crocs of the Daintree I’d gotten to know online. Dave’s passion for these wonderful creatures shines through and even though we could only make the 1 hour tour, it was brilliant! I loved that the boat was quiet and allowed us to get really close to see the beautiful animals!
